This has system write protection removed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2608332

[KERNEL][STOCK][OTA]Sprint ONE Kernel From 5-16 1.29.651.10 OTA

Hi guys! This is an unmodified Stock Kernel Pulled from the OTA by Damage_Them with instructions from several well known devs here.
I am simply posting it as it FIXES THE HOME AND BACK TOUCH BUTTONS.
Please enjoy. You are more than welcome to look through the .zip and make sure you are comfortable flashing it.
I have flashed it several times with no issue. The updater script is a modified version (only UI messages are different) of the one Thicklizard supplies in his kernel releases.
No one mentioned, including myself, is responsible for any damage to your device.
Altthough I am perfectly sure this zip is safe:
FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
Thank you
Ok, added the necessary files to fix the camera. Tested on Badseed RLS 2 and everything seems to be working.
Be sure to wipe cache/dalvik-cache.
Make sure to update your Profile and PRL.
Your kernel should read 3.4.10-g3adc80e

Oh my god, the home and back buttons are instantly more noticeably sensitive.
I never had much issue before, but then I put on a screen protector and noticed how bad they were sometimes.
I don't know it I want to go back to a custom kernel now....

Anyone else having this problem on any other Rom? Please let me know if so.
I was actually on Badseed RLS1 when I tested this. There may be a conflict on RLS2.
The Badseed crew is BadASS and after flashing RLS2, my home and back buttons seem to be working just fine, so I am running the kernel that came with it.
Maybe they incorporated something in the ROM already?

Camera is borked with the kernel. Not sure what's up but will keep an eye around the forums over the next few days. I'm sure one of our stellar devs will figure it out.
Thanks for posting up anyway.

Ok, added the necessary files to fix the camera. Tested on Badseed RLS 2 and everything seems to be working.

[Req] Remove Battery Icon? - UPDATE: ssojyeti2 posted a zip that removes it!

Hi - I have been looking for a mod that totally removes/hides the standard battery icon. Does anyone happen to know if there is one available? The only one I've seen is adding the percentage. I'd like to use ChargeBar for my battery indicator so I'd like to get rid of the standard one.
Thanks!

So this was a flashable theme injector zip file I used to test my dusk battery icon, and it ended up removing the battery for whatever reason. Give it a try, I don't have this device, but it worked for me on the evo lte sense 5 port: http://d-h.st/2IV

no, it's meant for deodexed....you could try deleting systemui.odex, but not sure if that would work

I could really notice the difference on the sense-based roms with a 300mb system swap but since I've switched to cm its hard to tell really. Maybe its because the swap already installed gets priority I'm not sure.

Well I've always left my cache untouched because my system partition has a lot of free space but they say cache is slightly faster although you probably wont notice it.

[ ROM ] Stock Rooted 4.4.1 KOT49E [ Init.d support | Deodex zip attached ]

Since I haven't seen any post this yet, here's a stock rooted 4.4.1/KOT49E ROM. Includes root, busybox, init.d support and I made the kernel insecure, so adb remount, etc work. For those that want a deodexed system, just flash the zip below and yes, the ROM will still be ART compatible.

Yeah I seen in the V6 thread a few others have this problem, I think it's 4.4 causing all the issues because Ik you can't write to external SD without getting some sort of add on in a file explorer
