This has the stock CM kernel. You want to over/underclock you need to run a custom kernel.
Thanks for confirming the home button, I figured that would be the case. I'll push a patch for that tonight.
So do I flash the aosp kernel or cm 11kernel since it says aosp based ? Thanks bud !!

CM kernel, that's what is being used for the 'stock' kernel in this ROM.
Really Thanks for bring us this amazing rom Arrrghhh!

You really should announce which one you are using since there are two devices here...
Looking, it seems you are talking about xt925. Perhaps something failed with the upload, it happens. Hence why they are nightlies, there will be a new build tomorrow

It's a proprietary blob issue from what I gather - all 4.4 ROM's will have the issue, likely until we have an official 4.4 ROM from the OEM.

Hey @arrrghhh why the 15-01 nightly for xt925 only has 150mb? or it's a corrupt upload maybe?

Unfortunately. Scroll up, look at post #11/12.
So far the ROM is pretty solid. Is it possible to include and option to hide the battery icon? I prefer the battery bar but its overkill to have both. Also not sure if this is with all 4.4 ROMs but I can't get bookmarks to sync with AOSP browser.
Edit: found a small bug. I am unable to adjust the brightness settings based on the amount of incoming light. It is that small settings icon on the right that is not working.

nice to hear that KANG rom switched to JB... I tested it but no success, just Google logo stuck and reboot... I had to go back to Chocolate River
the same Google logo stuck I receive everytime I flash custom kernel (AIR, bedalus, ....) - maybe, this could be a problem of implemented kernel in the rom
hmmm, i think CM10's toggle look better than the one in screenshot, is there an alternate toggle option in this AOKP?

You can't get it in stock jellybean. You have to use roms with it or download a toggle app from Google Play.

Same as me. There is a problem with I9023 Roms and Kernels who won't boot after flashing.
Somebody have an idea?
Why CM10 work and not AOKP? why _thalamus kernel work and Bedalus one don't?
Maybe drivers for SC-LCD screen are the problem.
It's just a supposition but is it possçible that project Butter (implementation of vsync, tripple buffering, modification of HW),
have been coded with drivers for AMOLED screen and causes incompatibility with I9023 (SC-LCD)?

Based on my collaboration with djmatt604 and the work on my existing Mackay ROM, we bring you the AOKP experience Infamous-style!
This ROM is based on the AOKP jellybean 4.2 sources
To this we added:
-The CM device & vendor trees, adapted to our needs
-Mackay kernel
-Some CM/AOKP cherries
-A unique set of homemade patches
-A tailor-made gapps included in the zip
Changelog version 1.7.4
-AOKP source code 8-May-2013
-TRDS code, including a Dark UI toggle
-Added toggle ribbon
-Added Hidden Statusbar Pulldown
-Latest Mackay kernel
Installation instructions:
-Reboot to recovery (CWM or TWRP)
-Make a backup of your current ROM
-Wipe system
-Factory reset
-Flash the zip (no need to flash gapps separately, as it is included in the ROM)
-Reboot and enjoy!
Don't try to do a dirty flash or restore system settings using Titanium, both cause bootloops. Trust me, I have had the honour of testing this for you!

Thank you, your roms are truly appretiated.
Awesome kasper!! Your 4.2.2 ROMS are the best . I´m going to try it now!
Just one question : Why you don´t include scripts for init.d or tweaks for build.prop or sysctl?
Hope you continue with your work cause it´s impressive.

I don't believe in scripts to improve overall performance...maybe in specific use-cases it can help, but not in general.
Well its booting faster since we can disable bootanimation,we are able to customize ui as we like,i think its great,i dont know though something,can aokp for p970 be updated when cm is updated too,even if cm10.1 gets changes for our phone spesifically?

CM10.1 and AOKP are separately updated. Important updates in CM are often quickly ported to AOKP. I use a common device tree for building Mackay ROM and AOKP, so all p970-specific changes for CM are also applied for AOKP.
I have to say that´s really good. Smooth and fast. I love more Paranoid ROMS but these is supperbbb! Great work

I meant JB4.2 for p970, not JB4.2 in general. On my Galaxy S, both Mackay ROM and Infamous AOKP work perfectly fine.
Wifi tether doesnt work, but usb tether is just fine. It looks fast, but lets give it a shot after instaling more apps.

So the problem is that lg has not released the appropriate drivers or that cm devs dont have time for p970?I understood that u meant p970 i just wonder why p970 has that many bugs compared to others.

All of the msm8960 (non-DT) moto's use the same common kernel - so Atrix HD, Razr HD, Razr M, Photon Q. The new moto's (X, new DROID's Mini/Maxx/Ultra) or the msm8960dt's are a different SoC.
I support Carbon on all the msm8960 moto's, so supporting Gummy on all shouldn't be an issue

If, sometime in the future, you don't have too many projects going on, could you try to get an Omni build?
I tried it once, but got an error (everyone was getting it at the time), tried to get it to re-sync but it wouldn't because it wasn't initialized or something so reset the init, then re-ran envsetup, then tried to sync or build again but it wouldn't work no matter how much redundancy it had, so I just gave up... I'm not very patient...

I built Omni for the Photon Q... let's just say a) it was a pain. b) it didn't boot. I had people helping, and I had to revert 3 commits from the kernel... then it booted but was HORRIBLY slow.
I figured there was a lot missing for the msm8960's in general, or at least the motos. I might give it another go, but last I tried, it was not exactly "ready" for our devices. Too many changes were needed to just get it working!
Home key still broken on today's with clean flash.
Also is this the actual AOSP keyboard or is it a relabeled Google keyboard? I don't remember the AOSP keyboard having swipe.

Edit - just had a thought, those of you which tested the old vs. new... did you clean or dirty flash? Try clean flashing...

I tried both clean and dirty and it was the same. Also I can't delete the boot animation. It says it's a read only filesystem and I can't change permissions. Using ES File.

The ROM is also really laggy just navigating and typing and I have 90% of apps frozen.

Why are you deleting that?
System by default mounts RO (read-only...)
@arrrghhh, any plans updating to 4.4.2?

I'm not a big fan of the current one, looks a little messy. How could I make it mount system with write access?

GUMMY
Gummy ROM is made for speed, stability and to stay as closely in line with AOSP as possible while still supporting a large amount of devices and giving you all of the features you love. It isn’t slowed down by features you’ll never use nor is it so slim as to be just another AOSP build.
Features:
* New base built from AOSP
* Status Bar Mods
* Theme Manager
* Hardware Key Mod
* Lock Screen Mod
* Many Wallpapers
* Performance Control
* Application Permission Controls
* Carrier Label Options
* Background Style
* Lock clock widget
Instructions for installations:
**Use whatever recovery, so long as it's 4.4 compatible**
1. Download ROM
2. Download Gapps
3. Push to sdcard
4. Reboot Recovery
5. Wipe Data and Cache
6. Install ROM
7. Install Gapps
8. Reboot System
Contributions:
* Thank you to Cyanogenmod for device and hardware repositories. Without this, porting Gummy to QCOM devices would have been nearly impossible.
* Thank you to Google for the best source code.
* androidfilehost.com for hosting our file servers!

Mein as well... enjoy folks, let me know how it runs! Tested on CDMA Photon Q (xt897), should work fine for other msm8960 moto's.
NFC, BT, turn on but are untested. Wifi works great, as does 3g.
I use PA gapps, but any 4.4.2 gapps should work. Enjoy!
If you folks have issues (I'm expecting an issue with the home button) let me know!

Not sure how Gummy does their stables... I don't imagine anytime soon. Quite often nightlies are quite stable - there's just new things added here and there all the time to the base image, even though device specific changes might not have changed.

Really liking this rom so far (I've been switching quite a bit lately). However, it would appear the e-mail app still is not working..for me at least when trying to set up an exchange account with 4.4 roms.
Usually there would be a "Domain\Username" box however..there is just a username box and thus tells me my password or user is incorrect when I attempt to set it up.

Still no luck..is there something I'm missing? I've tried all the possible combinations. This is how I would usually set it up in the past though

Hm... I'm not sure. I just put my email address in the username box (normal email, [email protected]) and my password. Nothing special. Server for me is podxxxx.outlook.com since we use Office 365 / Microsoft basically hosts my company's Exchange.
I do not put the domain anywhere in the configuration.
For both of my exchange accounts I put domain\username in that box. Works for me.

the way the stock email app works is in the username box put the domain and the user. so: (domain name)/username
IE: wildbills/buck

Thanks! This worked for me, I guess its different depending on how the company sets things up.
I apologize for for the inconvenience..but after logging in, my email app force closes. I will try to wipe my dalvik cache/cache here to see if that fixes it...maybe re-install gapps.

Also, they're nightlies. Lookout for a new one the next night...
Look what I found while Googling for moto-msm8960! This ROM is very customizable and reminds me of Carbon. Enjoy!

TeamVanir presents
VANIR
Yeah, it's got a HEMI.
Vanir was founded on the premise of performance tuning Android. We are based on AOSP, but include features (many of which have been rewritten to be more efficient) from other ROMs.
Our webkit, chromium, and skia are aosp/master merged with codeaurora, with linaro fixes on top.
BY LINARO, I MEAN GLOBAL "-O3 -fstrict-aliasing".... we didn't just switch toolchains. Here at Team Vanir, WE GO HARD.
Features
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
omniswitch
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
improved notification handling (active display & halo are in review also)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
yatta yatta yatta

Vanir forked CM's unified repo so everything is in sync, just a lot of different features and customization options. It works on my atrix hd, no issues.
There's an OTA Updater but it does not seem to be working, so you'll have to update nightlies manually.
This is a good rom. I have been using it for two days now.
Only bug is I can't get Gps to lock. I came from unified CM11 latest nightly.
I can not for the love of anyone in this immense universe get this or any unified rom to work with my T-Mobile service, it's annoying. Has anyone been able to get any unified rom to work with T-Mobile or any gsm carrier?

Tekno has an Atrix hd I think. Since the unified is detecting an xt926, it's writing build.prop settings for Verizon cdma. You have to manually edit a few lines, assuming you've already done the radio nv string hack. There's a build prop guide by coolloser, or you could ask someone with an xt925 to upload their build.prop.

Great ROM, been using Vanir on Nexus 7 for a long time. The only bug I see with the Razr HD with Vanir, is no GPS. Is anyone using this ROM and having GPS work?

Unfortunately I couldn't figure it out. So I'm back on cm11. If GPS worked this would be my daily driver.

I'm a hardware guy- HiFi, stereo, home theater repair. Let's hope one of the software guys can figure it out, it's really a great ROM.
Anybody know what do I need to add to the build prop to get my T-Mobile service to work with this rom since this and all unified ROMs keep detecting that my phone is a XT926 and so it's not letting me use my gsm network.
