Just look in Desire C Original Android Development and download the latest version of TWRP from there. It's stable.

Ok, thanks a lot.
I followed these steps:

I installed TWRP 2.6.3.0 and it's working fine.....

For me, 2.4.2.0 is the most stable. The newer versions reboot randomly. You can see in the twrp thread. The one that says 'stable'

(If you're a safety person, full wipe again)
Or try updating your Radio.
u must flash boot.img via adb i think

Depends on the ROM. Usually it's said if you have to use it or not but you can try to flash it anyway as it is a step forward anyway Or at least no step backwards Did you try another build already?

As Cyrus says, you could try manually extracting the boot.img from the ROM zip and pushing it via ADB once you've flashed the ROM. This was the only way to get the ROM booting on previous versions, and I'm not sure that it's been fixed yet. Give it a go.
It's not clear in the MIUI thread, but you must flash this specific boot.img to get MIUI to boot up. After you have a booted up a couple of times, you can proceed to install Redux BlackR Sense 3.6.
Ended up using another ROM by Nik recommended in this forum, and am more than happy with this one.. Will hopefully try MIUI some other time, too much trouble getting it to work.

Best recovery

Hey guys I am just wondering what the best and most stable recovery for my phone would be. I know that CWM is very unstable because I did screw up my phone. So I want to know if WCX or TWRP is better and has less chance of screwing up my phone because I will be flashing a lot due to my dev work.

Agree that TWRP is the best. There is an issue with some that versions 2.4xx would crash and reboot randomly when performing restores and/or installs. Version 2.5 was supposed to correct this, but it didn't for me, so I reverted to 2.3.3.0 and so far so good. YMMV.

I disagree. I have used all recoveries and the best Imo is wcx recovery. It's most trusted and Alot of ppl will back me up. Hope I helped O btw I read something about doing updates. Lol wcx recovery doesn't need or have updates it's that damn good. Just try it if u don't think it's good then flash that other garbo

Not sure what youre trying to ask but maybe i can give an answer. Yes. All recoverys can flash anything,,, WCX's recovery looks like CWM and no where in the vivid forum will it tell you that someone recommends CWM Most people are either twrp or WCX (imo people think one is better but to be truthful they are just they same,.. they both work)
I recommend WCX recovery... I would trust that man with my life

O yeah im hooking hers up with it right now. What i meant was my dinc2 i go from sense to aokp to miui without having to change the recovery from 4ext (cwm based as well) to twrp. I just saw in the vivid forums about certain recoveries only for certain ROMs or twrp v2.3 not 2.4 would be best to flash the ROM.

WiFi not working after flashing custom ROM

Hey guys, I just installed nik's new project x rebirth 3.6 because it looked amazing!
So I wiped data
Wiped cache
I flashed the ROM
And then I Rebooted
I went through the setup everything was fine just that the slider for WiFi was greyed out and it says and is stuck on "turning on..."
I waited really long to see what would happen but no success
All I see it error
I kept trying and trying but no luck
I did everything from wiping data and cache
I reinstalled the ROM
And I flashed and ICS kernel I had lying around on my sdcard but yet no success.
BTW I did not flash a kernel when I flashed the ROM
I flashed an ICS kernel after wiping the data and cache many times thinking it would work
Someone please help! Thanks

Use 4EXT or ClockworkMod v5.0.2.0. V6 is only a port and therefore, there can be some bugs. I know that 4EXT and CWM 5.0.2.0 work. 4EXT is kind of like a modified CWM with extra features here and there. Its also officially supported.
I believe it is kernel related..

Kangaroo Kernel's WiFi works. That is a fact. If it doesn't work, then it might be recovery related where the recovery might not be flashing some modules correctly and whatnot. I used to have the same problem except with dla5244's port of TWRP. That is why I suggested OP use Official ClockworkMod or 4EXT.
Thank you guys so much
It was actually the the recovery
I flashed Clockwordmod v5 and it worked like a charm

No download ROM manager or 4EXT Recovery Updater (the latter may require a bit more searching).
As i've never really used ROM manager (nor would i ever recommend CWM over 4EXT), I can't really help you there.
For 4EXT Recovery Updater, you will need to wait a bit for downloads and stuff (roughly 5 minutes). After click install/update. Choose touch or normal (i use touch). Select version. It will download and then after downloads finish, it will flash the recovery for you.
Guys I am well aware of Rom manager and 4ext app control ;D

This is like a three part question. But first never flash any ROM without backing up all your installed apps data. Unless you don't care about data loss. So basically the ota is a new ROM. Yes it will erase your data. However it won't touch the data on your sdcard. Only the ROM data. Such partitions of /data, /system, & /cache. You would need to reflash gapps as a
cm ota wont have gapps preinstalled. Also you would need to make sure you have the latest recovery. Some 4.4 ROMs don't flash properly without the correct recovery.
