[Q] Battery lifetime with omnirom? - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hi.
Does anybody know how long the battery lasts with omnirom 4.4.2?
I tried CM10.1 once and battery was down after 1 day so I went back to latest stock rom. With that battery last 2-3 days for me. Can anyone tell how omnirom performs regarding that? I'd like to use it a lot since it makes my Asus tf300t run like hell ...
Ccheers

Omnirom 4.4.2 is unstable.
Cm10.1 or CM10 have good battery life (last build)

[Q] Battery life

Hello everyone,
I wonder how much battery life you have on i9000 with stock battery (1500mHa) on cm 10.1 with semaphore kernel?
Asking, just because I can only get max. 12h of battery life with cm 10.1 20130218 rom and semaphore 2.9.10, smartassv2 and row. Wondering is this normal or my battery needs to be changed. Any suggestions to max battery life on i9000 would be appreciated too

The battery can last between 3hours and a week, depending on how you use your phone, so that's not a good question to ask.
If you feel that the battery is running out too quickly then download betterbatterystats and look for any apps using unusually high partial wakelocks or alarms and get rid of them. It only takes 1 rogue app to screw up your battery life.

I think he knows that.
12 hours uptime is not uncommon, especially when on 3g a lot. On wifi you should be able to get at least 20 h in my experience. If the battery is as old as your phone I suppose its capacity is not what it used to be, and you might consider replacing it with a sgs+ one f.i. - they come cheap nowaways!

That's in your experience, the way you use your phone.
Try playing NFS MW or something. You'll get about 2 hours on a gti9000. It varies far too much to try and tell people how many hours battery life they should be getting. Totally depends.

I use my phone for 3h wifi browsing, 30 min. music and 30 min gaming, but nothing intense. And with this usage I get 12h battery life. Flashed 2.3.5 stock rom. Still getting 18h max. So I think this comes to conclusion that my battery is old enough. That's why I asked for the battery life you get, because I didnt knew this is usual or not
My last for 2 days more or less depending on usage.
AW: [Q] Battery life
Guys i think its wrong to measure the battery life with how long your phone is working. i personally look at the screen on time it says more than just how long our device is working. I get always stats around 3h its unimportant if my Phone works 6h or 18h.

Not just wrong, its completely impossible for someone else to be telling you what you should or shouldn't be getting...

Battery drain on stable carbon ROM

Hey everyone.
I was on paranoid android 3+ but found the battery wasn't great (as mentioned in forum) so last night I flashed carbons stable release. Charged it full over night. 2 hours of usage this morning and battery is down to 34%.
Am I doing something wrong? Could my battery just be done? It looks fine (no bulging or anything) or is this sort of battery drain expected on this ROM? If it is I'm gonna have to find a more battery friendly alternative.
Thanks for taking the time. Hope someone can help me out.

First of all you need to let it run through few charging cycles to settle down moreover there is no harm in trying a new battery if it is old.

rooted 4.1.2...what next??

i have successfully rooted my phone tonight (jb 4.1.2 rooted) and was wondering how to get twrp on my phone so i could play with roms. if anyone can help please let me know. i have tried razorhd recovery flasher with no success.
got safestrap 3.11 installed and gonna play with a rom.
Cyanogen Mod is really good and reliable. I had liquid Smooth for a couple months but it kept restarting. I want to try Carbon but I'm having too much fun with CM. CM may be a little more basic but it works. Good luck.

One more thing. Download goo manager. I wouldn't recommend flashing and rebooting from there but it'll definitely give you the most current "popular" ROMs and gapps.

If I didn't touch my phone, I can get around 10-14 hours on the CM rom. If I use it periodically, 8-10hrs. Keep in mind, you can always hybernate specific apps that run in the background using Greenify. Performance is pretty good. I don't get any wierd lags or crazy color flashes on my screen. I haven't tried Carbon but I may switch over in a couple months just to try something new. Overall, CM is a very good product.

[Q] Battery life

I've tried a few ROMs, including Albinoman's CM11 (4/24 official and a few nightlies) CM10.2 (the newest October official, I forget the date ). So here's my question: Out of all the JB+ ROMs out there, which ones have you had the best experience with, in regards to battery life? Right now I'm running Albinoman's CM10.2.
Also, any battery life tips would be appreciated. Currently, I am doing the following:
LCD brightness turned down
LCD off when not in use
Wifi/GPS off when not in use
Processor slightly underclocked
Unnecessary/unused apps removed/disabled/stopped
Haptic feedback off
In all honesty, I think my best battery life ROM has to be albinoman's CM 11.

That's weird. When I flashed the 5/18 nightly last time, I sucked my battery dry in no time. Which release date are you on?

I have to agree with Isaac. I'm running the 5/15 nightly and my battery life has almost doubled with BT and GPS turned on. I just turned BT off and set location to "battery save" so I'm hoping to squeeze even more out of it.
Don't get too excited about my doubled claim. Prior to CM11 I was running Paranoid Android (Jellybean I believe) as my daily driver and would get about 6 hours of battery life on standby. With CM 11 I get around 11 hours with light use, the Vivid is just abysmal when it comes to batteries.
Now that MMS is working the only complaint I have is with the in call mute feature not functioning, but I can live without that for now. I plan on running CM11 as my daily driver for the foreseeable future.

You're the second person that's said the 5/15 nightly has good battery life. I'll probably flash it Monday.

Ain't that the truth. I'm sporting a 3500mAH extended battery and I get like 12 hours with light use. Can't wait until I can afford to upgrade and put the Vivid on a permanent leash. Maybe make a media server out of it.
Well I stand corrected. I'm still running the Albinoman 5/15 nightly (loving it) and over the weekend I conditioned the battery by running it dead and then overcharging it while it was turned off. I now get 24 hours on light usage and about 10 hours on heavy usage. I had tried this process on other builds and versions but this is the first time it's actually worked. The battery I'm using is the battery that came with the phone. I'm amazed!

How does one overcharge it like that?

Don't unplug it or turn it on once the charge indicator turns from orange to green. Keep it plugged in and offline for another 2-3 hours.

[Q] Which rom gets you the best battery life?

Okay, let's face it, this phone doesn't have a great battery life. The most i ever managed to get out of this 1500mAh battery was 22 hours, more or less.
That was on the glorious cm11 haha
Anyways i'm rolling over all the roms since December and now i can't find one that gets me over 14 hours, that actually is really bad. My use is mainly whatsapp so i don't think i'm giving an hard time to my battery. I tried looots of apps and roms. I feel stupid haha.
So my question is, what rom and which settings gave you the best battery life and how much did it last?

SGS III Mini
tenshi_xp's PAC Rom RC-3
KitKat 4.4.4.
How long you take screen time ? i take about 3.5 hour
Sent from my GT-I8190 using XDA Free mobile app
Well for me, i tried almost all the popular custom roms for s3 mini and i found that dmodv6 gave me best battery. I could get around 3-4 hours screen on time. I tried cm 11 and cm 12 but battery life was horrible, i could only get 2 hours screen on time. I would recommend dmodv6 if you just want battery life. Im still trying to find a kitkat rom with good battery life but i just can't.
