Alarm Snooze gone - Samsung Galaxy Gear

I am using the Gear on my SG S3 with the 4.3 update. Everything seems to work fine. I get notifications from third party software, calls come in fine over the gear and my calander notifications work great too (using Biz Calendar).
The one problem I have is with my Alarm. I use the standard Alarm on the Galaxy S3 and at first the snooze/dismiss would work on my smartwatch. But it was hit and miss. Sometimes it would show up, sometimes not. Lately, the last week or so, it hasn't showed up at all. When the alarm goes on my my S3, the gear is silent. I really like this feature since I was able to snooze my alarm from my watch and not have to grab the phone.
I have tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the gear manager, resetting the gear back to factory and starting from scratch. The gear might work once to dismiss the alarm, then not again. Everything else works fine, just this one thing.
Any advice?
Thanks

[Q] Gear Randomly stops getting Notifications?

Uggh.. Might have to stop wearing this thing because I cannot figure this out. Everyday, it seems like my Gear will randomly stop giving notifications. Everything is setup correctly and the check boxes are marked and everything. If I toggle bluetooth or reset the gear, the notification comes right through. Ive tried completely resetting the Gear and even doing a factory reset on my Note 3. No luck.
Any ideas on what could cause this? Im all stock.
I have this same problem. I've read other places that if your phone screen is on when the notification arrives, it won't send it to your phone. But even if that is true, it still seems inconsistent at times. It is frustrating...

Click to collapse
Yup. If the phone screen is on the notification wont come through. When you turn the screen off, the notification should come through on the watch. That makes sense.
But you said, it's frustrating when it flat out misses notifications..
Yea, noticed I was missing some Gmail notifications today and rebooted the gear and all started working properly again. Makes no sense.
Yep, this is happeing to mine as well. My watch will be quite for a while and ill pick up my phone and boom, i have 3 texts and an email and my watch did nothing. screen was off and the icon that says gear is connected is there as well.
yeah started noticing this after Gear Manager updated itself to the white version (1.7)
This happened to me few times, but I've made a habit by disconnecting and reconnecting it to gear manager on every morning when I start to wear it.

Dismissing a missed call and a phantom watch alarm

Greetings all.
I have two small issues and was curious if anyone else experienced them.
1) Every once in a while, I will have a missed call notification card on the watch and can't swipe it away (to the right). I can expand it up but basically can't get rid of it. A restart of the watch seems to do the trick. I've tried clearing the phone call history but that doesn't seem to help.
2) Secondly, Every once in a while I get a phantom alarm on the watch. I think it's a (watch) alarm I set a few weeks back via a voice "wake me up at 10:00am" command. Are these kept in a different spot that the normal phone alarms?
I'm almost thinking of doing a wipe of the watch and re-syncing my apps just to freshen up everything.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Scott
I found the old alarm...I just wasn't looking in the right spot.
However, I still get that missed call card problem from time to time. Even swiping left and going to close "close card" doesn't work. Anyone else get this?

Unreliable notifications...

I bought the Watch R a week or so ago and I've been trying to work out why the Google Now notifications are so unreliable.
At first, I thought it was just me - I never really embraced Google Now and actually had it turned off on my phone (Galaxy S6 Edge). A few days ago I turned it on, configured it and was expecting to see the odd card popup on my watch every now and then but I've had zip.
So, I thought I'd test the notifications on the watch, from the Android Wear app, but the only notification that works all the time is the phone call. Most of the other notifications just don't pop up on screen and the only way I see them is to swipe the face from above and then they're there. Is this normal behaviour? I thought that notifications were supposed to popup on the screen, like on my phone!
I've reset the phone a couple of times in desparation but it's made no difference. I've unpaired the watch from the phone and re-paired it after forgetting the device. No difference. Removed all the custom watch faces and used only the once that came with the watch and once again, no difference.
I do get notified of text messages and emails with no problem, but nothing from Google Now.
Can anyone please suggest anything?
I have the s6 and I don't receive any notifications except the test phone call. I believe it to be a samsung problem with it killing the wear app from running in the background. watch worked fine with my other phones.
It's ridiculous, my s6 / gwr doing the same thing. Reboot both and things work for a little while, then gradually peters away to nothing. Except for sometimes I'll tap the watch for the time, and some random google now cards will be there, which I dismissed days before! Swipe them away but the same few keep coming back! As for the weather reports, well they've not worked for over a month now. And all this without me touching any settings whatsoever. I've exempted the android wear app from battery optimisation in the s6 too, incase they were that dense they'd overlooked that core app, but doesn't seem to have sorted it. Seems every time these companies update stuff they break it, and don't care about fixing it.!

Notifications on latest update

Watch updated to the latest version (1.5.0.3269884) but since then I have to restart my phone to get notifications working. Once the phone has been restarted it works fine until I turn the watch off. Turn the watch back on again and I have to restart my phone to get the notifications going again.
I've reset and repaired the watch but no difference. Any suggestions?
Phone is HTC 10 running stock 1.95.401.3
I had the same issue and samsung stock sms app stopped issuing ANY notifications factory reset clearing android wear cache first still no luck. I thought it may have been some legacy from my Samsung Gear S2 3G and associated Gear Software so even factory reset my phone. The only way I can get SMS notifications was by installing Google Messenger on my phone and setting as default SMS app (funnily enough the Urbane 2nd Edition lists this as its default SMS app) since doing this I know get all my SMS notifications. Just as a side notr I also installed (on my phone) 'Feel The Wear' app, not sure if this helps push the notifications but at least you can set 2 or 3 strong vibrations so you don't miss them

So my Phone crashed at night, no alarm in the morning

Received the P4XL yesterday and set it up. Put up an alarm in the morning but the phone crashed in the night and no alarm ring in the morning.
the phone Was half alive, App drawer worked but wasnt able to start any apps (only Black or blank screen). After reboot all the missed alarms showed up.
Anyone else noticed something like this?
I've had this happen with my Pixel 3 and other phones.
It doesn't even have to be a crash, it can be as simple as a reboot. It seems that Android's alarm scheduling doesn't kick in until the phone is first unlocked after a restart, so if anything causes your phone to restart overnight, no alarm. I've been late for work more than once because of this.
Samsung phones in particular let you schedule a weekly automatic restart for maintenance purposes; on all my Samsungs I have to make sure to schedule it for a night where I never need to have an alarm go off the next morning.
I have also had bugs with Do Not Disturb blocking alarms even though I set it not to. It's rare, but it happens.
I have been using phones as my alarm clock for years, but it's always a bit of a gamble. So many things can go wrong.
