I recently sold my Xperia Z that I had on Three. I sold it as unlocked as I checked out the Sim Lock screen before doing so.
The buyer has messaged me and said that although an Orange sim card works in it, a Tesco mobile one doesn't and attached the following photo.

To me, that still looks as if the phone is unlocked and given that a Three and Orange sim both work, that would again seem to suggest the phone is unlocked and the fault might lie with the Tesco mobile sim card itself?
Any help appreciated.

I sim unlocked my phone myself so can confirm that the phone pictured is definitely unlocked and given the fact that two different sims work fine also speaks for itself, either the buyers said simcard is faulty or he does not know how to update the service provider settings for the simcard.

This is what I thought initially. Two totally different networks as well, not just Orange/Tmobile combination etc.
I'd still like to help him out though, so any ideas why the sim cards won't register?

If you don't already know, the unlocked Bell HD7's 3G bands are the needed bands required for AT&T (850,1900). I received my unlocked Bell HD7 from Negri Electronics today and I was super excited to get it going on AT&T here in The States but ran into a very weird problem...
Basically, I can't connect to 3G/HSDPA/EDGE internet. Now, the weird thing is that it SHOWS I'm using AT&T and that indeed I am on HSDPA (see pics below). Calling and messaging work fine BTW. If I want to do anything requiring data, the 3G/HSDPA/EDGE connection won't work and I'm forced to use wifi.
I'm tired of hard-reseting and flipping switches on and off... I just hard-reset the bastard one last time and now I wait for your advise. What do I do? Thanks in advance

Since it runs on the Bell firmware you must enable the data roaming. In the first pic that you posted it looks like you have it off. Give it a try and report.

try downloading "connection setup" from the marketplace in the htc apps section, run it and you should be good to go.

But the N4 isn't sim locked or SW modified in any way, regardless of where you get it... (except for having Wallet disabled in UK I suppose)
right ive been watching the n4 forum since the launch fiasco. I failed to order one that day and have been reading about all the hassel to save $100. Tmos website has been out of stock and normally stores dont have any... but this one did!

Hello fellow XP users!
I know this topic has been asked like a hundred times but the threads I've read present insufficient info that I need and most are clutteted.
I just want to ask if the SanDisk 64GB (SDXC, I guess) with product code SDSDQUA-064G-U46A is compatible with the Xperia PLAY with the following conditions:
1. There should be no lag in games
2. Will perform at optimal levels even if nearly full
In other words, is it completely compatible with no bugs whatsoever?

Also, I've read HERE that there is no difference between an ULTRA and MOBILE ULTRA card. Is it okay then to just use the ULTRA card as it is more readily available (not hard to find) and, of course, should be without bugs whatsoever?
I have the exact same one and have been using it for about a yea in my PLAY with no issues what so ever. It works great. Been very pleased.

I have the same and am not sure what region mine is either. I was going to try and flash the USA firmware, but I am almost thinking this might already be the USA firmware. I don't think anyone has an actual unit from the US Sony Store yet, so it is kind of hard to tell. I got mine from technotrading on Ebay.

I got mine from Delta Electronics from Amazon. I don't know what region mind is either but I'm almost positive it's not U.S., since as you said, U.S. version isn't even available yet....
