Welcome
I can not English so I use google translate. I'm sorry for the mistakes. I need a rom that supports OTG. I know that the original rom support but unfortunately the original ROM is not Polish. I use CyjanogenMod 11 which unfortunately does not support OTG. This function is needed in my work because thanks to her I do not need to carry a notebook. Please help me. It may have a program through which CyjanogenMod will support OTG or do you ported from the original rom file handling OTG on a custom rom?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

The OP means really does mean OTG, not OTA.
OTG is short for USB On the Go, which is essentially a micro-usb to full usb converter cable that allows you to use full desktop-size USB peripherals, like desktop mice/keyboards, game controllers, or flash drives.
This phone should support USB OTG, and I believe it's kernel reliant. You'll want to try arrrghhh's kernel for OTG-- I'm not sure if it's actually working, but I know that kernel has quite a bit of features.
Here's a link:

Hi guys i'm a noob but i've a question...can we get OTG support with this patch for tegra 2?
[U-Boot] [PATCH 0/7] Tegra2: USB Host Support patch series
Thank you
yes we can. but this doesent mean it will work, due to the fact that its tested only on seaboard.
we need to debug after patching it

Oh, I though it was hardware related ^^ but if it could work, that would be cool
With all the good devs O2X still have, i'm sure that can be possible
(By the way, Nicolaschw, your kernel looks amazing, keep (with ?) the good work !)

hi guys
I know that the micro USB port in p990 is unpowered, however pengus77 is working for USB otg in your kernel utilizing a otg cable with splitter USB.
Here is the Discussion thread for SM T110 Kernel Port, suspended temporally as few files need to be written from scratch.
Will start after my exams

Hello!
How about this program?
We haven't got a Cm Rom yet.
Stock Rom is too boring.
This one makes no sense anymore we have a working T110 port
[OTH] OTG support will be available ?
Waiting your return. I need a custom kernel in my tab. Thanks

You could include OTG support?
If you could include whether the driver of the usb modem zte whether type of orange?
Would be great if possible as we could have in our tablet 3g usb modem connecting an application using pppwiget

Root your tab and install the trickster Mode.app. With this app you can change the Governore to conservative and Scheduler to cfg or noop.

this project is presumed dead.
it is not even tagged "T110". Also the OP did not state from where towards where he intended to port.
R.I.P. , kernel !
I found the bug with not isolating kernel in additional roms after posting multirom here. Unfortunately I havent solved it yet. I decided to not delele this project because the rest of this works. This is useful who want to have similar rom in on tab. For example to test apps. Sorry for inconvience.
this is beta release. for p900 only.
I'll write full instruction later. For full description see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011403
I'm not sure that everything is stable, so I dont publish source code. I dont want to distribute buggy sources. thanks for understanding.
for stock firmware only. for now. use stock frimware as primary. you can flash cm as additional.
Installation:
1. https://yadi.sk/d/RVXpEgc6c4GKo - this is modded recovery. flash via odin
2. https://yadi.sk/d/CHl8wTYYc4GMZ - patched kernel. (patched my 1.3 pro kernel)
https://yadi.sk/d/D2riVhEgc4GPP - multirom main program
flash through modded recovery patched kernel and multirom.
uninstallation:
https://yadi.sk/d/jc4uxZeCc4GRb - flash this uninstaller through recovery, then flash original twrp
known issues:
- 1920x1200 resolution in twrp
- in List Roms installed roms dont shown
- in multirom boot menu touchscreen downt work. use buttons (vol-,vol+,power)
multirom apk from play store doesnt support this release.

@bonuzzz,
nice to see you here. Actually I bought this high end class tablet because of its specifations and over standarts. Still is the most powerful tablet in market.. But somehow it always lacked development and support of developers. Recently maybe the price is dropped so it started make owners smile little bit.
I was almost giong to change it, but still there is no powerful alternate..
I would like to be a tester of multiboot. because I would love to see ubuntu desktop in this tablet.
Thank you!

Do you mean the first (pre multirom install ) flashed rom kernal is the only kernal that boots regardless of the chosen rom, is multirom a separate bootloder that is chainloaded by the original bootloader? Does multirom have a config file describing the various kernals with different filenames if so can it be manually edited? Does multirom mount emulated system partition images or are their actual multiple prexisting system partions in the mbr that multirom can choose from ? What would quilify as similar roms, stock and omni are they similar enouph ?

I dont recommend to use this multirom because it has the bug with sharing kernel. So you need to use similar roms as primary and as additional. I dont have an idea how to solve it at this moment.

I was able flash the Kernel but it didnt work as I told you, Im not into source coding stuff but practically it doesnt seen to work on the Official LMY470. Atleast you compiled it before anyone so thanks for that and keep working on it. Also, will a kernal from a stock OTG supporing device help?
Can you please share the link to the kernel? I'd like to try it out
Hi !
Can you please test the kernel with otg I'll be glad if you could report a detailed feedback after you test it to f4uzan
Link : http://www.mediafire.com/?dhzb980d1a661

P.s : You might need external power for the OTG, I never checked if Android One capable to draw power for the OTG
Also, boot time might be longer because f4uzan dirty-hacked some stuff to make it compile. We need to get more attention in order to achieve otg

Sure! Although I dont know how to supply external power to the OTG. I'll try the normal way and report back to you with the results.
Thanks!
I DON'T KNOW F4uzan SUGGESTED ME TO USE AN EXTERNAL POWERED OTG CABLE ANYWAY IF YOU WANT TO DIY CHECK OUT THIS THREAD forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1828032 OR IF YOU WANT TO BUY ONE LOOK FOR SOMETHING LIKE IN ATTACHMENT
I tried it with a normal OTG cable.
I used USB Host Diagnostics and Stick mount apps.
USB Host Diagnostics results are in the screenshot attached.
ES File Manager was able to detect something but couldn't open it.
I think power external power is the main issue here as someof my pen drives with LEDs didn't light up.
WELL DONE IT APPEARED IN ES FILE EXPLORER IT SEEMS THAT WHEN IT'S TYING IT TO MOUNT POWER IS RUNNING OUT IN USB AND KERNEL IS NOT ABLE TO SEND POWER TO PEN DRIVE SO IT NEEDS MORE ATTENTION AND DEVELOPMENT IF WE TRY GET SOME BUT MORE DEVS SUPPORT LIKE VARINCHITRE15 TO ADD IT TO THUNDER ZAP AND KUNALKENE 1797 TO ADD IT TO BLACK BOX WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE OTG INFORM THEM ABOUT THIS TOPIC IF YOU CAN THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT PM IT TO F4uzan ALONG WITH LOG CAT SCREEN SHOT IT WOULD BE A LOT MORE HELPFUL TO HIM AND ONE THING TRY TO CONTACT OTHERS DEVS YOU KNOW....... CAN DO THE ROM AND KERNEL COMPILING STUFF IF IT'S THAT NECESSARY AND COMPLETELY SUPPORTS OTG I MAYBE OR I WILL UPGRADE TO LOLLIPOP LMY40 BECAUSE APPS AND GAMES NOT SUPPORTED IN LOLLIPOP AND ALSO XPOSED MAYBE WORKS BUT NOT AT ALL THESE ARE THINGS HOLDING ME FROM UPDATING TO LOLLIPOP ? Thanks for the input guys ! I appreciate it
I'll of course, keep developing the kernel. Once again, thanks for your input, guys !
otg support would be dream come true
Android one devices got some quality developers It was all thunderzap
Dev Varun Chitre show at first slowly but surely number of devs are
Coming forward now which is nice to see if we are able to generate otg
Support for this device it would be a very big achievement for us as dev community
Hoping for otg...one for all?
This Magisk module adds the required firmware for external wireless adapters to be used with Nethunter.

From what I can find, this should already be present by default. There are very old drivers which can be installed separately, but I don't have a lot of hope for that. Can you send a dmesg log right after plugging the adapter in? The problem might be something else.

yes I will definitely do that. I'm glad you said they may already be present because I am working on getting my kernel patched to enable external adapter support. so it may not even be an issue with the module I just didn't see it listed in the supported chipsets. antsy I'll respond once I get the kernel patched. thank you for responding!

You basically have to find the correct firmware files for that chipset. I'll try to look for it and add it.
I already flashed thru magisk (repo) but still my external adapter is undetected.
My device is Poco F1 and my question is, should I just flash the zip or extract the firmware and place to the right path?

Check out GitHub issues, feel free to create one with dmesg right after plugging the adapter.
Also, some people miss it:
If it does not work, then make sure you have the correct drivers installed, kernel built with support, etc. This module only adds some firmware files required, systemless-ly.
What that means?
NOTE:*Your kernel still needs to support external network adapters.*
I need custom kernel with rtl8812au drivers inside? So why i need this firmware if i need kernel? Or just kernel with enabled modules?

This module only provides firmware files that some devices need (located at /etc/firmware/). It isn't a replacement for kernels with support for the adapters.
Will try it, i found files for rtl8188eu in the kernel source of NetHunter for OnePlus7
