I noticed that my flash photos had a blue/greenish cast over them at one end.
I initially thought there was a problem with the phone, but a quick experiment showed that the silicone case I use with phone was refracting some of the light from the flash into the camera lens.
I cut out the small section of the case between the flash and the lens and the problem disappeared.
Attached are before/after photos, both of flash photos taken with the phone and the doctored case.

Hi!
I bought a Kaiser at ebay, its "new" frsh excanged by vodafone. Al works perfect, just the Camera shows only very strange colours, like a rainbow or else. What could that be?
Greetings MrMmmkay
EDIT: Picture attached
Pic quality
Try this...I and others have. Take off back cover. Carefully cut out the clear plastic lens cover on the back. Reassemble.
Or, just try taking a photo without your back cover on first, and see if that makes any difference. Good luck.
That looks like you have the "negative" special effect chosen. Go to "effect" submenu in "capture settings" menu list and uncheck it if it is checked.
Hi!
I tried out to make a picture without the backcover, see attachment. Looks better, but still not good .
Negative effect is not activated.
Any other ideas?
Greetings MrMmmkay
Looks like someone dropped your camera in some sort of oil/fuel or something lol.
Have you tried actually cleaning the lens under the case, and the little window in the case itself? Use some diluted gin/vodka if you don't have any proper cleaning product. Make sure you remove battery 1st obviously and only use a little. Make sure it's also fully dry before re-assembly.
I cleaned up the camera lens. Nothing changed .
the sensor gave up his soul to the lord lol.
Anyone having problems while taking photos in low light using flash?
When i take photos using flash there will be a white flash on one side of the image as if something is blocking the flash.
I have attached the samples taken in superior auto mode.
Is this problem specific to my device only?

This is a factory problem with most white Z1. I had the problem and change the phone with a black unit and the problem it´s almost gone.
yep happens to my white one but not on the black.
This happens with mine, but only when I have the case on it, the light reflects off the case on the second flash and gives the "ghosting' white look to the picture... unfortunately most cases are causing this same problem.
Recently just got a moto x, I have looked but couldn't see a solution to this. When I take a picture with the flash white objects just seem to go crazy white hue, then if I try to take a close up of something with flash on the resulting photo is just a white screen. Is this a hardware or software problem?
for some reason moto built this phone and didn't care much about the camera quality actually the camera is fine but the flash qualities crap mine flashes about a second before the damn picture snaps which renders the flash useless, I have two moto xs they both do the same thing. snap to take the picture the flash flashes then goes out than the picture snaps.. gonna have to put up with no flash until the chinese start putting better cameras in motos phones
The camera is OK in outdoor conditions, indoors mine has black wavey lines going across the screen which get captured when photo is taken. This plus the flash issue issue is just a joke, I know it's just a phone and not going to be like proper camera. Big mistake selling nexus 5 for this phone.
Hi everyone, today I noticed that my rear camera is blurry. Its incredibly frustrating that I am unable to take any pictures with the rear camera in this condition.
I used the camera to take a few pictures this morning,(which came out perfectly) and I have updated a few applications to the latest versions about a few hours back. An hour back I tried to take a picture using the primary camera, however everything is blurry.
I removed my rear glass cover and cleaned out any dust from the camera area, however the results were the same.
My camera App is at Version 1.0.0
Is anyone else facing the same problems?
Can you show a picture demonstrating this?

U flashed another ROM or something, happened with me when i Jumped from 534 FW to 136 FW.
Solution was i had u first flash 708 FW (I think) and then 136.
I think I discovered some bug that happens when you take a photo with 1x lens with flash (no flash no issue).
I'm using version 9.1.0.124
I'm telling this because first I thought I had a faulty photo sensor, but then I took a photo in RAW, and the issue doesn't happen.
So in the first photo you can see a small light stain in the bottom right corner, this is jpeg produced by the phone.
The second one is the untouch RAW, there's no stain, neither in post-production I can make it visible.
So I think it's some kind huawei auto filter/tune for photo with flash that produces this anomaly. I already know of some other p30 pro user that was the exact same stain.
Could someone else confirm this.
RAW
For some reason the jpeg from the RAW doesn't appear.
Update
The store device doesn't produce the stain, so I went for a exachage, the new model was the stain.
So I'm not sure if is software or hardware, for what I know, 3 models have it 1 no.
