[ROM] [JB] AOSP for the Xperia T [AOSP] [NEW]

This is an AOSP build for the Sony Xperia T.
What is AOSP?
AOSP is the Android Open Source Project. It is the code that Google releases to the public to build upon.​
What does this ROM do?
This ROM is the AOSP sources compiled so they would run on our device. It is similar and different to how CyanogenMod and other source compiled ROMs work. The interface will be the same, the overall feel of the ROM will be the same. However, unlike other custom ROMs there are no options. There are no settings to play around with. It's just a pure Google Experience. Think of it as using the ROM that comes as stock on a Nexus device - it is exactly that. It's superfast and just how Google intended​
Working:
All core and important functions of the ROM - WiFi, Bluetooth, RIL, Mobile Data. Camera etc.​
Not working:
There will inevitably be some bugs. I've played with it for a few days and I couldn't fin anything glaringly broken in my usage. However, I fully expect there to be minor problems here and there - please feel free to report on this thread.​

Can you test the prox sensor during a phone call and see if the screen comes on when pulled away from your ear? Interested in AOSP options if things are solid. Thanks for the ROM tilal.

I know this wasn't suppose to work on TX, but I tried it on my TX anyways

Could you share what kernel you used?
Tried it with AOKP and image still upside down. When android boots, no touch screen works.

I have an xperia S...but a user asked if a xperia S rom works on the xperia SL...and the rom that was made for Xperia S...also worked on SL ..
and i think he also recived the error 7 thing..

Hi
i installed your rom last night and now i am facing some major issues (no internal sd card found when i try to open music player or photo album) i tried to do a restore from phone bu tit wont wipe the internal sd or let me install any other rom as my internal sd card wont show when i plug in via usb alsoheadphones are not working and also many other apps that use the sd card for storage like dropbox what can i do plz help

[DISCUSSION][Xperia TX]what to do after rooting

Hi guys..
I was an owner of samsung galaxy s2(i9100) and then I moved to the amazing xperia TX.
It is an amazing device as compared to galaxy s2.
However,i do miss the customization choices of the s2 as the TX does not has sufficient developer support as the s2.
Many xperia TX owners root the phone but fear unlocking the bootloader as they fear loosing drm keys,bravia engine,track id etc so they stay away from unlocking the bootloader.
So I thought to create a thread where we can discuss what to do in our devices after rooting so that we can get the most out of our devices
We can have some discussions on root apps,some mods without unlocking the bootloader,system mods etc..

Manual system modifications by having access to the root directory. Endless possibilities
Also I used to think that there isn't much development here compared to the previous Samsung phone I had. But to be honest, I am quite happy with the stock Rom. So I don't complain. Occasionally I shift to a CM 10.1 release but then come back to my stock rom. So there is actually not much that devs can do to improve an already full featured rom. This is my opinion.

When I used a samsung,i always used a sony theme on cm.
But now on sony stock rom,i never felt the need to change to any other rom

i tried pimp my rom, but only used the touched velocity something.. i feel my touch ain't that responsive, not due to the kernel though , but maybe due to the screen guard.. not sure

Hi mate,
Just dont apply tweaks that u "think" would make any effects...apply the the tweaks for the feature u want on your phone..

Funny thing is, the majority of mods on pimp my rom, we already have on our xperia phones anyways, so there isn't really much to do with it in the end
As for what I do after rooting, I install TB and remove all bloatware, and then leave it as it is because there's not much need for extra mods/tweaks and all that

Hi,
I mean just apply the mods for the changes you "need" on your device.
For example,if we apply the mod "pimp my beats" we can get good quality audio output from our headphones.
I have bravia engine 2 and beats audio installed in my TX and they work really well..

Hi mate,
I agree with your point..but there are still many mods for pimping our rom
We can have build.prop tweaks,init.d support etc.
Me too have not made many tweaks in my TX with "pimp my rom" but there are still many mods which we can apply...

[Q] walkman & album update

should we install album and music player update of xperia Z on our SP would it work on our device??
and if it won't work can it be reverted??

Xperia Z Walkman 7.9.A.0.1 version app

The album work out of the box.
The Walkman work if u install the newer one, where someone post about makin the Walkman work on 4.1.2.
So far everything work fine for me. Quite an interesting ui as well as new features.

Not work for me. C5303, no root, stock ROM.

Help Camera not avaliable

This apper to my gf xperia sp before the update, so we wait for 4.3 to fix it but after the update with pcc camera still didnt working, some user on facebook group told me that i need to.shutdown the flashlight but even flashlight.arent working, I already tried to restart, erase dsta and config and use another camera even I installed some camera.apk from xda of 4.1.2 but nothing work, I hope you can help me, thanks
I compared this with something on my own sp, when.i have 4.1.2 tried to.install movies.apk but from z series just compatible with 4.3 and my movies app disappear so i just wait for.the update.to fixit but after 4.3 via pcc notjing changed, so i installed a 4.3 movies apk and now.is working so i think pcc doesnt fix corrupted apps when update the phone

may be you need to flash official firmware ftf file using flashtool and check whether the problem has been fixed. looks like some apk files have gone missing from /system/app folder. flashing might help getting those files back. ( cameracommon.apk, cameraextensionpermission.apk, semccamera3D.apk, semccameraUI.apk etc.)
If flashing doesnt fix it then its surely some hardware issue and might need to take it to service center

Now I flashed but didnt camera didnt work that means is hw issue? But why if never drops
btw the dsc qx-10 can work without the native camera from the sp?

Its better if flash new 266 or try to flash 254 old and later 266?

Doesnt matter. It resets the entire phone so the build doesnt matter. Unless the problems only occur with 266

I am having the same issue, I think something is wrong with Sony's servers right now.

When I update my TX to 4.3 and received this update it download the app install it when I did a factory reset to my phone it was actually having the same issues now I can't download the update

Try doing it again. Just downloaded it today. I noticed that it worked when the album apk icon showed up istead of the blueprint apk icon.
