Just thought I would share the link on the review Toms Hardware does on the Nexus 5.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/google-nexus-5-smartphone,3720.html
It's a decent review until they get to the reviews.
Then they pretend like they know what they're talking about.
They know that the Note 3 'cheats'. But they fail to mention that other OEMs have closed source optimizations, other devices besides the Note 3 also 'cheat'.
Then they get too much into scores treating the phone like a new video card that's released. Good PC Reviewers (Which Tom's is also not but it's adorable that they try) don't always make for good phone reviewers.

Yea, they definitely focus mostly on benchmarks. Which is kinda lame. No one bases their decision to buy a phone on benchmarks.

People that read Tom's Hardware do. They know their audience well. That is why they focus on ridiculous benchmark numbers in all their reviews.

Well, I do take performance in general into consideration, but benchmarks are *so* unreliable that it's hard to base a decision off of them alone.
However, after reading the full review, I do think it was a good review. The Nexus 5 is a game changer and they realize that.

They show very good battery results, as Anandtech did.

We've been dying to know more about Microsoft's Courier tablet / e-book device ever since we first caught wind of it last September, and while our entreaties to Mr. Ballmer went unanswered, we just learned some very interesting information from an extremely trusted source. We're told Courier will function as a "digital journal," and it's designed to be seriously portable: it's under an inch thick, weighs a little over a pound, and isn't much bigger than a 5x7 photo when closed. That's a lot smaller than we expected -- this new picture really puts it into perspective -- and the internals apparently reflect that emphasis on mobility: rather than Windows 7, we're told the Courier is built on Tegra 2 and runs on the same OS as the Zune HD, Pink, and Windows Mobile 7 Series, which we're taking to mean Windows CE 6.

Please Microsoft, you already own most of my room, I'm BEGGING you to own my notebook as well xD
Just make this a reality and my world is complete.
After graduating college, I'm not sure what I might need this for (except for notes in meetings and then that's awesome), but if stuff like this is being developed in secret at Microsoft, then that is AWESOME.
I love secret stuff like that!
I hope this actually gets released and has good batterylife/inking. If so, then I can finally dump my old sc2010 tablet
Can some one justify the name given to this device ... and then whats so secret about it whan net is spewn with the images and news about it
lol im so exited about this device. hopefully we will know more @ 12th apr.
ms unlike apple never really aimed to be in the hardware producing industry
sure they got the xbox and zunes now but mainly they make concepts showing
how what their software can do with the right hardware so
I would not be surprised if Courier is such a concept prototype which will never become a real product but if it does I would sure like one

Exactly my words. They would be a good competitor though if they are really going to produce these products.
This is very interesting and a nice sleek design makes for a good product in my book!
Hopefully this will be for real someday...
Love the premise.
Far too concepty though.
Want to see real hardware...sadly probably wont be release before Apple brainwashes folks into thinking the ipad is what to buy.

Good one
Me and my mate set Talking Tom off with Talking Tom listening. Obviously it just repeats what you say, but it was funny nonetheless. It just became a garbled squeak after a little while.
interesting

Yup, they are real. I saw a couple of these in a video yesterday I guess this is why it's positive that Siri runs from a server.

Hmmm...if that's indeed the case, it's not the advancement I thought it was. If it's getting its responses from a server, it isn't processing its own responses. Any phone would be able to do that...basically acting as a phone call to a server and the server doing the processing of responses and sending those responses to the phone as a reply.
Yup, and that's why it's not working on the iPhone 4 (yet) since Apple isn't authenticating Siri commands from an iPhone 4.
But the thing that's good with the server is that Apple can add and develope Siri on-the-go without releasing OS updates, and with that develope Siri much faster - and of course insert some highly amusing answers!
But yeah, an Android device could easily do this, but that's not the case here. Siri is a fine piece of software, and Google will have to put a lot of energy into this to match Siri IMO. I don't think it's the response that's impressive (although it's pretty impressive), but the way Siri understands evrything so easily is the most impressive. You don't have to SPEAK CLEARLY AND SLOOOOOW
Apparently Siri used to be available for purchase on the appstore, until apple bought it out and locked it down to the iphail4.
There are many features of IOS5 which independent developers submitted to the appstore but were rejected, only to have their app stolen by apple, in some cases the name is kept and their logo changed slightly.
that was funny
Xaccers: Yeah but Apple buyed them years ago before the iPhone 4 i believe.

The game is currently in Pre-Alpha stage, release date is set for 2013.
Even it's so early stage of development it's already best looking PC racing game up 2 date in my opinion, there is loads of gameplay videos on YouTube just take a look!
By buying it you are not only helping in development but also investing money on it.
After the game is released you can get everything you paid or even more cash back depending on the game sales -
Homever if you want to buy it, you should hurry up!

Wow man just seen the pictures and got the game it's freaking amazing !! Been playing it like crazy, awesome graphic and fabulous physics!
They have Fords, Bmws, Zondas, Caterhams and many other amazing stuff!
Check this out, took these screenshots to show!
Seen these videos on their forums and they are amazing !!
http://vimeo.com/45038618
http://vimeo.com/46406757
these cars look amazing
If you played the game you would go even more crazy , the amount of detail the cars have is insane, check this model of a BMW they are making!
The whole suspension of the car is independant like in real life, theres no weird symetrical suspension everywhere! Every piece of it has weight and it influentiates how the car handles, if you have a wheel you can even feel the engine revs!
Theres a new video released by a community member Jonz that is pretty cool!

Yeah it was but it looks like he convinced Vanessa or some other mod/admin that it was worthy. I still think it should be locked as there is already a thread for video games but whatever.

I wasn't convinced of anything and it wasn't my decision. Lets just leave it at that.
As mentioned above, there is already an existing gaming thread. Please post in there.

Whilst I appreciate your input, your one post count doesn't instill me with great confidence and much faith in your device experience.
How comes you have a device? Pictures?

I think someone in another thread said it won't be released for 8/9 days. I believe that's what they said anyway.
Pics or [insert appropriate 4 letter acronym].
P.S. Is it the 8gb or 16 gb version?
Pics or it didn't happen

And my response
I love the 90s. Good times.
What's that saying about honey, vinegar and bees
not sure why we should care about this.
if you wanted svdo then why buy an s4? the specs were released at least a month in advance.
man.. i really wish i had a custom SGS4 with my avatar on it....
i figure if samsung is watching then i might as well ask
I thought manufactures aren't supposed to post/monitor these sites. Although I'm sure they very well due, I swear I heard that a long time ago. Either way, too funny

I think its great they would reach out to someone like that. Of course its something they have no control over... when its a real bug we never hear anything.

I'm sure they monitor them, but it's not smart for them to post on them as they get ripped by someone no matter what they say. Kind of like the example in the OP above. I'm betting that support person will not be reaching out to anyone again anytime soon!
Its a shame really, they used to have developer relations and tried to reach out to the community with samsungjohn. however its just too much for one person and needs a whole team, we had kernel sources, responses from samsung and just a better connection with them.
its when samsung really took off in the rooting community.
I really miss this feature from the sgs3. It's too bad they cheaped out on us

If Sprint's LTE was anywhere as robust as their 3G (which in itself is not saying much) then this would not be much of an issue, but it's not.
Sometimes you wonder why they make such bone-headed decisions. Why couldn't they just leave the SVDO support in there. I doubt they can point to some incompatibility issue with anything like CPU or SoC or physical design etc..
OP is funny?
SVDO exclusion is almost certainly a Sprint decision, as no other phone besides the s3 and ltevo had it, or will have it.
And referencing T-mobile LTE? really? Missed that announcement where their LTE network is magically complete
