Hi,
does anyone know what are the differences from the firmware:
Blur_Version.91.2.29001.XT890.Retail.en.GB
and
Blur_Version.91.2.26001.XT890.Retail.en.EU
Razr i wan't commercialized in my country (Italy) and some SIM cards presents some issues.
I like to know the differences also to know if maybe the issue many not be present with a different firmware.
Thanks.

Blur_Version.91.2.29001.XT890.Retail.en.GB is the officialñ firmware for the UK
Blur_Version.91.2.26001.XT890.Retail.en.EU is the firmware for the rest of Europe.
In practice, they don't have any differences other than the update rollout speed may differ (but by a little time lapse)

As you can see here http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=13
The two files are not the same in size, and if you decompress the "system_signed" one has 25mb more...
I don't think it is just a difference on rollout area...

I received my moto with en.GB but I had SIM issues as You said so reflashed it to en.EU but it didn't help so it pushed me to change carrier. Maybe some additional stuff like preinstalled apps are different but no significant difference.
I received my RAZRi from Germany with Blur_Version.91.2.26001.XT890.Retail.en.EU installed.
After some fail modding and bootloops i installed the Blur_Version.91.2.29001.XT890.Retail.en.GB.
What i have noticed is that the en.GB has newer Build-Date and i have a better Battery-runtime with less wakelocks...
For comparison
- my en.GB.: Build-Date is "3. Feb 2013" with Kernel "3.0.34-gc6f8fd7" from "17. Jan 2013" Build-Nr: 9.8.2I-50_SMI-29.1359956748
What is your "Dates and Numbers" for en.EU ???

Hi Guys and Gals
Was just looking through all the Roms etc.. (more over the Official ones)
and I am not sure which model of note I got sent
I bought it on contract from Dial-a-phone and it was unlocked out of the box.
It did a few updates the day I bought it.
But I'm curious as to which version I got.
More for when ICS does finally get released and hopefully I'll be one of the first not having to wait for Country / Carrier updates.
My phone shows

}
Which version / country is this for etc...
Is it Europe or Open Europe or some other country that Dial-a-phone got their stock from
by the way what is the difference between Europe and Open Europe ?
I'm not sure which one I should be going by as I have the following -
a baseband that says
N7000XLA4
A Kernal that has N7000XXLA6 in it
and Build number of Gingerbread.XXLA6
I am in the UK by the way
I know when I had my Galaxy S2 I flashed that to open Europe to get rid of the O2 Carrier Garbage
So Don't mind if I have to flash my Note to another one to benefit from a Quicker update to ICS when its released
Though there is no Carrier Bloatware on this at all.
Thanks
Dean
Hi there,
I think you are using the Europe Build.
The difference between the Europe and the Open Europe Build is simple:
Open Europe= It's leeked for developers, this Build includes dev tools
Europe = Build for users
That's why I think you are using the Europe Version. I don't think you bought a developers Note with the Open Europe Version. I don't know if this Build is sold at all.
Ok, sounds good then.
Hopefully the Europe version will get an ICS update first being as there's no carrier to wait for.
But then again I have read the UK Unlocked/Sim Free Galaxy S2 is still waiting as apparently Samsung want the carriers to do theirs first and see if any issues come up before they release a Sim Free update as these get used on all networks..
One can only hope this won't be the case with the Note..
europe version
I got the same as you

It's still 5.02. Build is LRX22G.T800XXU1BOE2 dated 12May.
The kernel and SE for Android was updated. Looks like they fixed a few Bugs.
Downloading now
Just snagged it myself in Canada. Confirming LRX22G.T800XXU1BOE2 build number.
Otherwise not seeing anything different. Any major bugs that other people were running into that are now squashed?
--Databoy2k
How about a memory leak fix?, or do we have to wait for v5.1 for that.
John.
From what I can see they have fixed the Samsung Lollipop Netflix bug where the video freezes after about 30 seconds. I just tried Netflix for a while and no video freeze! Yay!

I think I will try this on my UK Tab S tomorrow.
More bloat and less fixes in this OTA.

What bloat? Where do you find that evident?
Damn, why did this come out a day after I rooted my Lollipop Tab S?
I am making the assumption that I will be notified when this is available as I have checked and nothing. I hope this is not a Samsung gradual update that takes 6 months to get around the world! Does anyone have a download for it to stop the 3 month wait?
Yeah, I wonder if this affects my stock SM-T800 with root. Hmmmm....
Deleted.
anymore info on potential improvements in this update?
Dunno about the improvements. I installed the update, then rooted it again, and installed TWRP recovery back.
I can say I haven't noticed any issues, so at least it is safe to install this, and it did fix the Netflix playback issue I mentioned earlier.
I also think it seems to match my fingerprint better too, but it may just be a placebo effect.

MrMike is correct.
You say "current version" yet they are all different variants, for which we can't advise what filmware you need. It should only be one variant, not 3...
As your phone is a marriage of parts, updating it may brick the phone.
Stick with it or get a full refund.
So I've been stuck on November update since forever, I check every day for new updates but nothing.
Is anyone having the same issue?

Are you using a device which wasn't offered by your service provider? You may need to flash different firmware.
Did you flash your current FW, or did you receive it via OTA? What is your phone's CSC?
If you flashed it earlier, flash again. If not be patient....

I've never flashed anything, I'm using the phone as I bought it about a year ago. I travel a lot though, so I change sim cards quite frequently.
My CSC is G998BOXM3BUK8

Changing SIM-cards regularly could be the cause...
What is shown under software version under phone info - software details - software version provider? (Or similar menu names) See attached SS.
You could consider flashing latest FW. This threat provides all info...

According to overview on sammobile.com your firmware is indeed up to date for CSC TPA (Panama).
Be patient...

Typically, in the US, the U1 version will change CSC when you install a working SIM from a different carrier. Of course, this won't work for you since you won't have a US carrier SIM. There may be ways to force-change the CSC on Snapdragon, but I haven't found them to work.
What's weird is that your phone already appears to be a multi-CSC ROM (you can see this in the "XAA" for the CSCs there). So you don't need a new ROM, but you still need to find a way to actually force the switch. I'm not sure if that's possible.
Note that per your CSC, this was originally a VZW (Verizon) phone, and is only "currently" an SPR phone... because it doesn't see a matching CSC to work with.
Anyway, all that said, I don't believe USA phones can have native call recording either. USA laws are crazy in this regard, so I don't know if any ROM will allow that here. That being said, I have been using BoldBeast recorder on my Android 11 phone and it works great. I do believe it won't work on A12, which is part of the reason I have not upgraded my phone to A12. You may want to give that a try, anyway, to see if it can work?

i think because the company unlocked the phone for the user after he paid the full price
before that the device was locked to their career
