I have been running the 4.1.1 ROM on my Sholes for a while. I wanna know if there is a Kitkat build somewhere? It is lighter than 4.1 and yet 4.1 runs pretty good on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
I`m new to the forum and new to the android world. I have the droid 3 winth android 2.3, and I`ve been looking for a way to upgrade it to ICS. I would like to know if there is any way to upgrade the droid 3 to android 4.0, but with a stable version, because i read about some roms that comes with a lot of bugs, like the camera not working or others problems. So please, is there any great android 4.0 rom for my droid 3 ??
Thanks, and sorry if i disrespect any rule !

Yes there's a ICS with but it's not stable and not finished and it probably won't be finished. This is because after the ICS version a way was found to load custom kernel on D3. Hashcode is currently busy getting JB to work with a custom kernel on the D3, and while it doens't have camera it's way faster and very close to a daily rom IMO.

Guys, just want to ask about updating..
I'm currently on Android 4.1.2 version, and im rooted and having Cyanogenmod 10.0.0 installed.
I just want to update to the latest stable cyanogenmod 10.1.3 version but i think its compatible with 4.1 android os, so i need to update my os to 4.2?
Question is, how can i update? Im rooted. Thanks in advance

You just flash cm's 4.2.2 like you did 4.1.....no different. Better read up on it.....sounds like you're a bit confused on how things work. Better to understand exactly what you are doing and not just blindly follow instructions.....best way to keep your device working smoothly and issue free.
The fact that you're on 4.1 has nothing to do with what you flash. Unless you're talking about a dirty flash.....which is a bad idea when changing o/s versions. You want to do a clean install. Backup your apps with titanium backup first.....then off you go.

I have a Captivate that was unlocked by ATT. It still has Eclair 2.1 and I want to update. Does anyone have any advice as to which would be better, Gingerbread, IceCream, JellyBean or KitKat?

JellyBean imo. The cappy doesn't have the hardware to run KitKat smoothly.

In my experience light JellyBean 4.2.2 ROMs run best on Captivate:
CM 10.1.0 Stable, SlimBean build 8, GamerzROM v4.0, ported CyanAOSP v.4.0.0, ported SuperNexus 2.0, etc.
Could anyone give me suggestions and advice as to what the best ROM would be for our devices, in terms of speed.. just like MERE (Most Epic Rom Ever). As I'm planning to downgrade to either 4.2 or 4.3, as I am pretty much disappointed with Kitkat.. for now. Thanks! Im running on Android Kitkat 4.4.2 Pre-rooted
Hi I wonder if anybody knows of any Kitkat roms that work on the Incredible s with s on. I want to upgrade my wife’s phone. I have been using Szezso's excellent VivoKat 4.4.4 for over a year now, but due to the demise of revolutionary I believe it is not possible to s off this phone any more so I am looking for a stable kitkat that does not need s off as an alternative . Many Thanks. Al-Man
