I came across this by just screwing around. I think all android phones have this little easter egg
Go to the about phone/tablet section then where it says 4.2.1 tap it repeatedly until it the little jellybeans show up.
back out of that
now you can go into the daydream mode and youll see Beanflinger as an option. im probably way too late on finding this out but in case people were curious i didnt really find anything with a quick search on beanflinger

lol! im going to go flick my bean now
I thought it was pretty neat! I think all the way back to my gingerbread days has that where you can hammer down on the version and it will show a little something or other related to the name of the OS.

It took me a bit to actually like it but before I flashed the new Revolution ROM I had started to enjoy the persistent Facebook notification bar on my HTC One from AT&T. Being that I'm a newly (registered) member I can't post on the development thread unless I spam the forum with ten useless posts first. So, instead of being a jackass and doing that I figured I'd come here and ask if anyone has a way to re-add that notification bar? I looked in Facebook's settings and didn't see anything about ongoing notifications or anything. I updated to the newest FB app off the play store, so I'm not sure if I have the wrong version or what.
Thanks in advance!
I can't find what you mean, are you sure it was persistent, got a screenshot? Googled for a while
rvirochu simple
Here's a picture of the bar and the option that's "supposed" to be there. It's called Ongoing notifications, sorry.
Don't have ten posts so I can't post the link.
Is this unique to the AT&T variant? Don't have this on my US Unlocked...

You've got me. I unlocked my phone and kept the stock ROM for about a week then finally found Revolution (wasn't looking hard) and saw that it was exactly what I wanted. I went from 4.1.2 where it worked to Revolution 4.2.2 where it's not an option.

Was it Facebook Home or Messenger maybe?
Hi Guys,
Looking for a clue here, because I clearly don't have one...
Obviously, moving from sense to something Sense Free (I've just switched to SinLess to be rid of BlinkFeed), is there any way to get some of the additional functionality of the device back?
The main think I'm looking for is the ability to use the IR blaster. I understand this was launched from the 'TV' app provided in Sense. Has anybody managed to break this out into an APK?
Alternatively, any thoughts/experiences with this, specifically with sense-free roms? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.remotefairy2
It's an expensive app, and I'd prefer to only throw money at it in the event it'll actually work.

Need the IR libs which aren't available at the moment
Prompt reply, awesome!
Being a bit green to the idea of Android development, Are we unable to pinch these from the original firmware?
Hey All,
I'm a long-time Nexus guy (exclusively), so I'm embarrassingly worthless when it comes to other devices. My girlfriend has a Verizon Moto X (non-dev edition), and, when she got it, I got her R/W access and threw xposed and gravity box on there to give her a little more flexibility. She's running stock 4.4. When the 4.4.2 OTA came out, I glanced through some threads here, and it seemed to be that I could put the stock recovery back on and update her and lose the R/W, or ignore the update. I went into settings and turned off notifications for MotorolaOTA thinking that would keep her happy. But she is still getting prompted constantly to update, and it's making her crazy. Her number one priority is not having to set up her phone again. It's just not her thing. What's the best way to get this thing to go away? Is there an easy update solution I don't know about? Should I freeze the app using Titanium? What are others doing? I--and more importantly, she--would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.

You can just freeze the app. That will take care of it. You can also check out kryptonite's thread on rootzwiki if you're interested in updating to 4.4.2 without losing root and r/w access.

Use titanium to freeze 'MotorolaOTA 1.0' and it should vanish instantly.
Thread cleaned
Please search before posting
If you find conflicting information when searching then it would be best to pose a question based on what you found
And maybe a more specific question.
Thanks

Hey guys. Just a general question here. And, some sort of a poll here too.
Would LG roll out Android Oreo for the next update or Wear OS 3.0? Do you guys think that LG would continue to roll out updates for this watch?

Watch was abandoned way last year
Unfortunately, R.I.P this great watch....
Actually, I would guess yes - WearOS is now a layer over the firmware and it is updated as an app.
Google has said that "all devices currently on WearOS 2.0 will get 3.0
Yess definetly! They said only the LG G Watch won't get the update

Android Wear 2.0(one we have in lg urbane) != WearOS 2.0, so i think we won't have any updates.
I received the Wear OS 2.1 update today. Long live the Urbane!

I had checked a few times, but it just showed up yesterday morning. Didn't do anything special.

It is not a "system update" but just a Playstore update for the watch UI, no change in OS
Automatic if your Playstore watch apps update is set to "auto" or manual if not.

Yes, the left/right/up/down swiping is more intuitive and the notifications are more detailed. The watch seems snappier for most things, except the Play Store. This update fixes many of the mistakes Google made with the 2.0 update (like swiping left or right to change the watch face).
Just a heads up that my brother's LG Watch Urbane got the new UI update today. My Huawei Watch still hasn't, but that's besides the point. The update is going to happen,
I got it this morning
Also instaled 2.16 when watch few days ago offered. But donĀ“t know, in my watch battery keep less than with older version. Will do reset today and will test tomorrow. I think that less lasting battery is because of much more notifications from phone, but will see tomorrow. I have W150.
It's great to see that our watch is still updated !
I find as well that batery life is less as before.
Before update, i could finish the day with 50%, and now, i finish at 30%.
Just got the update today!
Wow it is a lot quicker and more smooth. They added cool stuff like battery saving mode, more settings when swiping down, easier to read the notifications and so on...
I actually liked it a lot and happy to see it still gets the UI updates. I cant tell anything about the battery life since the update happened a few hours ago. Great work LG!
