Yes, if you have Samsung Galaxy Pop/Mini. Odin v4.38 is a must.
But, I see you have I9003, which device is it? I think you should stay away from the post in these forums as you might brick your device if you follow these steps/solutions. Flashing wrong firmware in wrong device will surely lead to a bricked device.

1.ya, its work so does the euro too. (i from asia )
2. ya, its official n originally from samfirmware or sampro is just the same one.
3.for your own benefit, if u dont like the upgraded version stay with the old if not u can give a try.. above all is not wrong..

the official version for EU is still 2.3.4 KQG build so no, this is far not official...
you can check this with checkfus downloader which uses kies servers

I think it happened in past everytime major update released. it is aimed to discuss about perticular ROM in details.

new rom so people can give feedback on it maybe? i dont see why this is any different fromthe other rom threads, everyone is having a discussion about that particular rom
keeps it rom specific and less clutter in other areas as far as im concerned

Installed it. I don't see any different than A-Memo icons than LA6. Will stick to this ROM till ICS release.

Even using Chainfire's CWManager (which has an option to inject root into any ROM.)

did you flash using cwm ?? or mobile odin
i have la4 currently with cwm and root.
i want to remove them, so if i flash with this rom using ur flashing instructions and using odin pc will my device be wiped?? because i dont want to wipe it
edit:
what happens if i flash using cwm and select "flash normally"???
will root and cwm be lost???

Ya flashed with CWM. If you don't want root, then flash with PC Odin

pl help cannot detect sim

hi i am using singtel s3 i9305 from singapore and earlier i tried flashing 4.1.1 firmware without changing back to my stock recovery/kernel and i tried install my official 4.1.2 version now and i could not get my phone to detect my micro sim i even tried to flash a rom but still i am experiencing a problem please help.....i got firmwares from sammobile.com....please help very urgent...

ya it says null and when i tried to restore via qualcomm it says no phone connected and cannot restore i am stuck...

Have you tried the last option? DM + MODEM + ADB? That is the only option that works for me with QPST.

The recovery software requires 64bit operating system. It won't connect phone if you're using 32bit

bro i am using windows 8 dell 64bit...........

Asaik, it doesn't work properly on W8... maybe that is your problem

[Q] Problem when flashing 4.1.2 Rom

When I use odin to flash my phone with XXLPY and XXLQ4 rom , it just say fail when it goes to the Modem part . How can I solve the problem ?
Please help !
Baseband : ZSLK3

My phone has the same baseband as you. What I have found is that if I flash the roms(both 2.3 and 4.1.2) in this forum, I will either failed in modem part or both baseband and imei unknown. I suppose we can only flash roms which is based on roms named ZSXXX.
Still, you can flash kernels.

So you mean that we can only wait for the Samsung official release to upgrade to andeoid 4.1.2. Is that right?

hmm.
is your phone sim-locked to your carrier by any chance?
maybe that is why modem is failing if you try ROM from different carrier / unbranded.

I don't know if this is the explanation. My SIM is locked to Vodafone network. I had installed all custom ROM's on GB 2.3.6, I installed JB XXLPY, XXLPZ, XXLQ4 and now XXLQB. I installed almost all JB themed ROM. I had no problem that the SIM card is locked on carrier network.
I know there were problems with SIM locked to T-Mobile.

try to redownload the firmware that you like to flash..
maybe you have a corrupted file..
disable kies and anti virus programs..
these may hinder the whole update processes..

I installed all JB smoothly. And the SIM card is still blocked in the network. :laugh:

im investigating why some sgs advance users end up in a baseband XXXX or imei Unknown..
that is why i ask you coz your on sim-locked..
there was a thread that i've read that maybe because their phones were locked by their carrier..

Before I installed Maclaw CM10.2 (16.12.2013), via CWM Recovery; I had formetted system-preload-modem-sdcard. After those process, I installed the CM10.2., but there is no any network signal!!!
Then, I installed original ROM for S3 Mini (I8190), there is no again network signal. I think my phone needs the modem files.
Please help me. What can I do?

I can make it even easier. Just flash modemfs and baseband in recovery.

I tried and netwok came back with low signal but 3g didnt work. And then I had to give my phone to Samsung Service
I wont have the phone during 5 days
