Basically the T was meant for specific regions ( like latin America, Israel etc) , as such the important thing is your modem, you need to note down what version you have at the moment and use it back when you use any i9000 custom ROM. AS such you should make a serch on this forum, if you don't find ant specific guide for i9000T, you can use the i9000 guides
look at this for reference [Tutorial] How to Unbrick, Flash, Downgrade, Root, Update i9000 from Froyo to Kit Kat

The tutorial has the guide of flashing modems, which can be switched at any time and with most i9000 ROM's, if your network reception is poor a modem switch is the answer . IF it is unlocked you can change networks, so it is just fine for you as you can switch different SIM cards to use different networks,

hi guys
I just got a Galaxy S but its branded from Any Call Provider from Korea its openline but I have no idea how to change firmware or roms or is it safe since its from korea.
I want to change roms and root it
I tried the root guide but there is no apply update.zip selection
Here is the version
PDA:M110S.DG14.0001
PHONE:M110S.DG07.1842.ST
TIA
Hi !
First of all - Congrats !
Now you really NEED to read THIS : THE BIG FAQ
this will make your life easier and drop the panic levels
Good luck
I already read it and there is no concerns of Anycall brand or somewhat related to it.

Yes there is.
22.Can I flash an Asian ROM on my European device or vice versa?
Flashing should work without any problems. There are no known compatibility issues as of now. If any should arise, flashing back to Asian firmware is always possible.
Check your current ROM by dialing *#1234* to make sure you do not have a Korean variant of the phone (which is NOT compatible!).
Actually its not my concern if you read my post I've included my firmware and radio
PDA:M110S.DG14.0001
PHONE:M110S.DG07.1842.ST
It's different from all the firmware listed its from Korea so I want if I can make it to i9000JXXXX like that not this korean firmware

Go ahead and flash , then post your resutls here
It's not really easy. That's why I'm asking if there are other people who try to flash on this korean version of SGS. I would love to flash this but if it gets bricked you are the one who will replace it

Now im lost, I thought you were able to confirm that your SGS is different from the one that comes from korea despite it being "Anycall" thats why I posted the quote.. altho I understand the step says Asia to Euro but the note at the end says make sure your not using a korean version of the phone, then you said that is not your concern.
The step may refer flashing an Asian FW to a Euro handset but it clearly states that you are not able to flash X FW if your handset is from Korea.
But yeah at the end of the day, its not yet possible to change the FW on a Korean based handset.
Sorry for that, I also got lost. So it solves my problem and I'm stuck with these korean firmware. Is ther a possibility of root?
As Per this site in pages 8 and above
they confirmed that they use superuse+su+busybox by using Odin3
http://forum.samdroid.net/f49/superuser-su-busybox-i9000-v-2-01-07-2010-a-1355/
Anyone can confirm?
I'm too annoyed with this different firmware
Thousands of devices have been rooted in Korea, but it's hard to find support here for the device. Do a Naver search for "갤럭시s 루팅" or go to matpclub.com
I'm at matpclub.com
lucky for me, it's hard to understand and translation is not good
Agreed, but if you can find the file that contains odin and the update.zip everything else seems fairly like every other rooting system. Unfortunately, I deleted the file and the link after I was unsuccessful getting my device into recovery mode.
Here is the link for root. But I can't download the Msuper.zip

I'm too nervous to do this since my phone got no warranty and i'm not in korea

Hey, in case your Stock Rom is multi CSC, try to type in *#272*your imei-number# in your phone app.
This will give you a selection of csc codes/ region codes to choose from. But if you do pick any of them it will instantly factory reset your phone with no warning.
In case there is no other options than the CSC you are currently on, you should flash a multi CSC stock Rom using Odin.

Basically you need to read this guide, read all of it, to get the knowledge on How to flash, root, update etc. Than go here to choose the ROM for your region, latest Samsung version for i9000 is gingerbread 2.3.6.
You can even Flash the attached JVU ROM and than flash only the Modem for your region on top of it
IF all this is beyond you, you can get it updated automatically by using KIES, the Samsung tool designed for updating their firmwares.

Hi Sorry I am new bie just created account to post my query , if I'm violating any rule sorry about that
I recently bought Samsung GT-I9000 mobile through online purchase. Then i tried to connect my laptop using Samsung Kies but was not recognizing , then slowly understood the Android version in my mobile is 2.3.4 , tried to uppgrade to higher version which was also seemed much complex, then after listening to few Service agents i came to know that my mobile is Unlocked Version (not Indian model) so it needs professional to upgrade the version
Then onwards i started surfing net , now just came to know ur website & writing this to know
If my mobile can be accessed through Kies software & can be upgraded to higher version of android
If so , would like to know the step by step procedure on how to Upgrade to Version 4.x.x (latest)
I am not sure if i get expected support from you, Any help on this is really appreciated
I am located in Bangalore
My Model Details:
Firmware Version: 2.3.4
BaseBand Version: I9000ZSJPJ
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7
Build No: Lidroid-i9000-1.2
I am unable to find Sales Code
Dial *#06# to get the IMEI and write it down; Dial *#272*IMEI# on the dial pad.
This shows me a blank sales code
Thanks
Raj

It looks like you got scammed and your device is not i9000 but M110S, so read this , so check your IMEI and also remove back cover exposing battery and look at your speakers at the back of your phone .
IF speakers are made of metal and SILVER /Chrome plated , its an M110S as these are stereo speakers, if it looks, same like cover and made of plastic than its an i9000. But these can be swapped by scampers too, so the only best fool proof method is the IMEI check.

Hi xsenman

Raj
One more information
by pressing *#06# i get below IMEI no
354581040087919
by removing battery (back side cover) there is written IMEI no
354581/04/129908/3
Just providing this to see if this helps you to provide more helpful information

according to IMEI check, your phone is M110S and not i9000, so you need to use repair kit to upgrade it to gingerbread 2.3.6
see the attached image from IMEI check web site.
Hi Expert,
What i understood from the mail conversation is , what i bought is actually M110S, but look like an i9000,
between them feature everything same except few small differences which may not be perceived by user/consumer
If I use your Repair Kit (follow steps) i can make it as Pure M110S , so that below my problems would get fixed
1) Unable to recognize Kies (where as I always use in USB mode accessing data from PC/Laptop )
2) Can be upgraded from 2.3.6 to 4.x.x in future without much struggle (Just by using Kies )
Please confirm above points to take decision to follow your steps

The M110S was designed for Koreans ( Samsung Home market) with Digital TV & Radio and better quality than the i9000 but why are they being sold cheaper and dressed like i9000 in order to sell?
simply because there is NO further upgrade for this model after gingerbread and because NO one can produce a stable ICS or Jellybean ( without source code) for it to-date.
so NO, you cannot upgrade this model any further after Gingerbread with all its features working ( forget about the Digital TV & Radio)
After years of trying by Koreans they were able to get Jelly bean ROM to boot but cannot resolve Ringtone read this
Hence the reason for using i9000 themed M110S ROM and trying to sell it as i9000. So if you a looking for a normal gingerbread smartphone, you might as well use it as is with an i9000 and skip trying to to do anything with it.
Its useless to connect to KIES, as NO more updates for M110S or i9000 will be released by Samsung. Gingerbread was their final release but because the i9000 is similar to Google Nexus, their ROMs have been easily ported and the i9000 has hundreds of ROM's available for it from ICS to Kit Kat
Hence, M110S has limited choices or none and i9000 seems to have too many choices
Thanks for your patience & advice on this
Ok, so no more chance for up-gradation from 2.3.x I will stay with current configuration only
Then what about my point (1) on how to fix Accessing data using Kies ?
Niether way ( M110S or I9000) Kies would not help me to access my Phone?
If so i should always use USB mode to Tx data to & fro My phone to PC?

To solve USB connection problems follow this guide , KIES will not work on Win 8.1 and for some models you need to use KIES older version's , look in My Android Collections, link below under managing tool for KIES older versions
USB storage mode is the Normal way to manage your SD cards but a better tool would be My Phone explorer

Hello all, i need help from you i9000 folks
My friend asked me if i could flash a newer android version on her i9000 that is still stock 2.3.3 , never rooted or flashed. I've owned a i9001 and i9300 so i'm familiar with odin and flashing of samsung devices, my only concern is that i've read a lot about losing IMEI and thus mobile signal. i've also read that it's not advised to flash to a JB version directly from stock 2.3, is that right?
So basically if i want to flash one of the 4.3 or 4.4 roms what's the procedure here? Are there any special steps/precautions before flashing over 2.3.3 ?

Basically , you need to follow how the Android OS was cooked, its froyo>GB>ICS>JB>Kit Kat, doing this will have all the ingredients, jumping from one to the other may lack some ingredients:laugh:
anyway, just follow this [Tutorial] How to Unbrick, Flash, Downgrade, Root, Update i9000 from Froyo to Kit Kat

Yeah right. Anyway now I am looking for 2.3.4 FW because games lag on 2.3.6 (WTH!!!)
I was just confused because my previous phone doesn't support single firmware flashing. (incompatible with Kies FW)
It required PCA, MODEM and CSC.
So it required the file you told to be split into 3 files by SplitFUS2.
Anyway Thanks for help.

man, you need to read the i9001 WIKI, i9001 uses Odin Multiloader 4.43, which can flash single package ROM's with AriesVe.ops, maybe you are using the wrong version of Odin?
