This is a zip of the MK7 Firmware, you must unzip using 7zip or equivalent,
place the extracted .tar.md5 file where you can locate it using Odin.
Take The Gear and put into Download Mode....
( Hold The Power button, wait until watch reboots,
screen will display Samsung Rebooting, once at this screen,
click the power button continuously until it switches to the boot loader)
click the button twice to go down to Download mode,
Press and hold the power button for 3-4 seconds and let go,
the watch will boot into recovery and is ready to be placed in the cradle for restore.
Once in Download mode and watch is in cradle connect to the pc and open odin,
your watch should be displayed under the com port, if not your missing drivers for download mode.
Chose the ap spot and navigate to the .tar.md5 you downloaded from here,
no need to mess with other check boxes. Once you selected the .tar.md5
odin will check it against your gear for compatibility, once done you can hit start,
it will take time so be patient, don't allow keis or any other software to be running during this step,
these other programs could interrupt the connection and cause odin to fail.
Watch will automatically reboot and be back to stock,
you may need to power cycle the watch if it sticks on the Samsung screen,
go back to the bootloader using the above steps and choose recovery,
this allows the update to complete. it will automatically reboot, and get back
to stock pairing screen / main home screen.
ENJOY.
If my instructions are vague, use Google or other walkthrough's to help get into download mode.
This will wipe all data!
Flash at your own risk!!!
There's other posts around with links to Samsung-Updates.
Their download speeds suck and are limited and really confusing for new users.
This is the exact same thing with a lot faster download and is a straight download to the firmware.
I had to reboot device after flashing this firmware and go to recovery, recovery said applying updates and rebooted,
once I did that the watch fully booted, without this reboot the watch hangs on Samsung screen after restore.
THIS IS THE USA, CANADA, UK Build (BTU) MK7 I will not be providing support,
this is just to give people a easy link to get a odin restore file.

Hi,
I bought my Tab in the States a few weeks back and brought it home to Switzerland. I downloaded Lag Fix from the market and it put my tab to sleep. I was able to get into Flash mode and via Odin tried to flash P1000XXJK5 with a Euro PIT, it went through 95% and then failed and stalled. I tried to turn it off, then it went dead and all I can get now is a blank screen with indirect back light. No OS, little guy with a shovel, nuttin!
I also tried installing Android Commander, but it can't see it either
Can anyone help?
Well in order to fully brick a device, you need to corrupt the updating proccess while flashing the bootloader, otherwise its most of the times fixable by the user.
So if at that point you where updating the bootloader and it stopped then you are screwed.
If not, i would let its battery to fully die from leaving it on for some hours, and then charge it for an hour, if you are still getting a indication like that then you are screwed.
If you are at least able to get the Phone --!-- Computer sign, you are good to go. Let me know how did that go.
Hi,
Well, I did all that...still have just the white screen......no icons, no indications of anything.
Thanks for the help....
I have the same thing now... Have you come any closer to a solution?

Euro (GSM) on a CDMA device? If that is right then you have trouble.
Are there JTAGs for the GTcdma?
does anyone have a solution on how to unbrick vz tab?!?
here's what you should do. let's start from the very beginning.
1. download heimdall. get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755265
2. download the stock verizon files. get them here: http://www.blackmugmedia.com/Android...n/VZW Stock/
you need all four files.
3. download the drivers for the samsung sch-i800. find those here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co...v1.3.350.0.exe
4. unzip heimdall. go into the drivers folder, and run zadig.exe. at the top, select 'list all devices'. go to the dropdown menu, and select Samsung Composite USB (i'm pretty sure that's what it was called.) click start, and let it run.
5. open the heimdall front end.
6. put system in system (if you're flashing to ec02, then put factory in system)
put cache into cache
put param into param
put the zimage into both the kernel and recovery slots.
7. turn your tab off, and plug it into the computer using USB. hold down the power and the volume down buttons until you see the little droid dude with a shovel.
8. click the start button on heimdall.
9. wait for the flash to complete (don't unplug your device, obviously, during the flashing.) once your phone reboots, it's okay to unplug it.
10. now, boot into the stock recovery, and wipe data and cache. update to ec02
11. enable usb debugging.
12. plug your phone back in to the computer.
13. now run superoneclick for root. get that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
14. either play with it in stock, or go find oldmacnut's excellent Better Than Life Rom, and follow the instructions to flash that.
15. enjoy your tab!
My friend had just given me his SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB SCH-I800 ... When plugged into the wall it shows a PHONE /!\ COMPUTER symbol and that is it! ...when I plug it into the computer that screen goes away, and doesn't come back . The computer doesn't recognize it or even acknowledge it when it is plugged into it. AGAIN...the phone /!\ pc screen only comes on when it is plugged into the wall...no other time. I cannot even get it into anything esle by doing the - power button/volume button commands.
Please help a cracka out!
I'm a newbie here and doesn't followed correctly steps for install a theme, so it's completely my fault. Now, I need somebody to help me recovering my device.
I tried to install this theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1808013
I read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551156 I've rooted the device and applied the instructions for "ClockWorkMod Recovery 5 - for use in future custons rom or partial back-up.-" but then, here is when I do wrong, I went to boot recovery mode (not CWM) > apply patch/update and selected the theme zip. Since then, every time I boot the device, it shows me 2 errors: the status bar process has stopped - And then the screen goes black and return again with the same error. At least it loads the background and icons of the main screen.
The device doesn't ask me for the password before the errors prompt. My device has the stock rom.
Can I fix it with recovery boot > wipe data/factory reset?

Yeah from what you are describing you can 100% fix it. However if you didn't make a backup of any sort then you will need to reinstall your firmware with ODIN3 v3.07. Go to the same thread that you got ClockWorkMod Recovery from and download Odin from there. Then download the latest firmware for your country/region from here (you have to change the country to your own one in the drop down menu and sign up to download files which is free).
Make sure you download firmware for S5830i ONLY whatever you do! Wipe all user data in recovery just to avoid any further hiccups. Then put your phone in Download Mode (Power + VolUP + VolDown when switched off), connect it the PC and open Odin. Use the PDA section ONLY to put the tar.md5 firmware file in. DO NOT use a PIT file and do not tick any other options than the two default ones (Auto Reboot and FReset Time I think). Just follow that to the letter and once ODIN is done, it will almost definitely be back to normal again.
By the way also make sure you run Odin as administrator and that Kies is not running because they don't agree with each other.
I've downloaded the lastest firmware for my country (s8530i, Spain, November) and now Odin looks like this: i.imgur.com /rZ76d.png (no 10 posts yet, sorry)
I've got the device connected via USB and awaiting in odin mode "product name, custom bin, current bin, etc) "Downloading..." message. Should I use the entry "Wipe data/restore factory" from the recovery boot first?
Now, is everything ok, do I press start?
Very nearly but Odin hasn't recognised your phone yet. Basically you see where it says "ID:Com" with 8 grey boxes above the writing, well when Odin has made a connection with your phone one of those boxes should light up and something like COM:1-9 (number isn't important) will be displayed inside the box.
You probably need to install Samsung Kies (search for it on Google) which comes with the USB driver needed for Odin and then it should work. But as I said just make sure you actually kill/terminate Kies from Windows Task Manager before using Odin. If you've already installed Kies sometimes it's just being a pain in the backside, unplug the phone, pull the battery out, reinsert it, put the phone back in Download mode, reboot your PC, hopefully that should do it.
Everything else in your screenshot is absolutely fine. You don't have to Wipe Data before doing it, I usually do it because sometimes it can cause issues. In the worst case you might have to do it afterwards.
Sorry, my fault. The device wasn't plugged. Now it looks like this i.imgur.com /HJz3B.png
Done, device working, thank you very much and sorry for the trouble.
No trouble just press thanks button if I helped though please.
By soft bricked, in my situation, I mean that the only mode I could successfully enter on my SGH-T679 was ODIN download. Recovery and normal boot both locked up no matter how long the phone was allowed to run. Or it reported that firmware failed and to use Kies but Kies failed to recognize the phone.
How I bricked it
I was given one of those fitness wrist bands for Xmas, but it's from a startup company and their app only works in 4.3 or higher. So I got adventurous and tried CM 10.2. I got CM to run but couldn't get Google services to work. I finally gave up and started to revert to stock. When I had my first problem at 2am, I should have gone to bed and finished after a good night's sleep because I soft bricked it. At first, I was running flashes from my internal SD card and could only get it to flip between stock recovery and CWM recovery, it wouldn't take full stock flash. Finally, one CWM recovery flash failed and my recovery mode got stuck so it only showed the hat and gear icon and at the bottom of the screen it said "CWM 6.etc..." and never went further. But I could still get to ODIN download mode.
And that's when I got really stupid. I messed with things I didn't understand in ODIN. Did you know that if you try to run ODIN Multidownloader 4.43 using the "Debug Only" and "MD5 Ram Check" options that you can fully soft brick a T679? If allowed to run for a while (10-20 minutes is sufficient), then after forcing the phone to restart, it will result in the screen about firmware failed please use Kies for recovery (but then Kies can't see the phone because the recovery is bricked).
Long story short, after hours of trying this and that, I finally found a webpage that said you can download the CWM recovery via ODIN. That would have worked if I hadn't gotten the wrong version (resulting in lots of screen flickering), but it proved to me that I might be able to fix the recovery using ODIN.
Here's the walk thru of how I restored my stock recovery and ultimately got back to stock ROM:
Software required:
A zip software that can handle TAR files (I used PeaZip)
Go to this wiki http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_Exhibit_4G and scroll down to "Flash to stock via ODIN", you need the software discussed and read thru the "STEPS" section just below that
You can first try using ODIN as described in the wiki. But if that doesn't work, you can try what I did...
Restoring stock recovery
If you haven't already, unzip the uvlg3.odin.zip file that you got via the wiki link above
From the .tar file that was in the zip, extract recovery.img and then put it inside a new TAR file (call it something easy like recovery.tar) (depending on your zip program, use "add", do not use "convert", you need the .img file inside the .tar file)
Refer to the wiki link above for more help on ODIN but basic steps are:
- Run ODIN as admin (not sure if it matters if you disable auto-protect on your antivirus software but I followed that recommendation)
- Using "OPS" button, select the Ancora.ops file that you extracted from the zip file
- You may have to recheck the "One Package" box to be able to then select your recovery.tar using "One Package" button
- Press "Start" and cross your fingers
You hopefully have now restored the stock recovery to your phone.
Further steps
I went a step further. I extracted the entire .tar file (not just the recovery image) and put each item into its own new .tar file. I used ODIN to individually load each item. I did first try to load the full file but I now think mine was failing to load system (which is pretty critical, especially if you followed directions that included "format /system"). (Note, the preload file might not work, didn't for me ; I found several posts about it and the general answer was to ignore it.) One trick to this is to watch and push the Vol Down and Home buttons when ODIN reboots the phone so you go back into download mode. Oh, and change the reset time to 30 seconds (I tried 1 but ODIN changed it to 30) so you don't wait as long on "reset". I'm not sure if it would have made my first normal boot go faster if I'd gone to recovery mode between ODIN downloads. I do know it took my phone several minutes on the first normal boot. I'm sure those of you who have bricked phones can appreciate the feeling of waiting for the stupid startup jingle and the relief when it actually plays.
Oh, and save yourself some bother by rebooting 2 or 3 times before you try to do much w/ your phone once you get back to stock ROM (or some other ROM). I was a little freaked because my wifi didn't work but after some googling, I learned Android can require a couple reboots before all services (especially wifi) load properly (which makes me wonder if I should try CM 10.2 again with more reboots... am I a glutton for punishment enough to try???).

What is your exact model number so i can give you correct files links ?
For example T-mobile note 4 has 3 models (SM-N910T / SM-N910T2 / SM-N910T3 .which 1 of these 3 you got?
You can simply check your model number by pressing 3 button combo while device is switched off (volume down+home+power) will boot into odin download mode press volume up to continue there you can see your device model number on top left corner.
It will be better if you can take a photo of your device while in odin download mode and and upload it so i can see what else will require to fix.
Let me know and I'll get back to you.

What kind of error pops up ?
Do factory reset 1 more time.after reset let phone completly cool down dont touch anything .
then you complete setup.
Use high speed microsd card if microsd card is not good it can cause issues and lag to whole device.
Download wake lock app from playstore and open the app you have to click on partial wake lock as shown in screenshot below.it will manage your cpu to run more efficient.
If issue still remains you have to erase old nandroid completly by using PIT FILE and repartion your internal memory to flash fresh nandroid.
Try first the things that i mention and use your device for 2 days.if it didnt work after that you can try erasing nandroid with my guide.

I think I'd rather go with that option as I just tried what you mention in earlier message and still gets the same error. Can you help me out with erasing old corrupted nandroid. Let's give this one a try cuz till now I tried almost every thing and yeah I just noticed another thing which is my phone's ICCID is also Unknown. I am not sure but do you think this might be causing problem?
Thank You Once again for so much help.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN BE PATIENT AND FOLLOW STEP BY STEP AS I MENTIONED OTHERWISE A MISTAKE CAN HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE COMPLETELY AND YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO USE AGAIN AND I WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF YOUR DEVICE.
Ok for this method you will require all same files that i gave you earlier.
Firmware file
Odin
PIT FILE
Battery charged 50%
MOST IMPORTANT YOUR DEVICE MUST BE IN COOL TEMPERATURE OR YOU CAN REMOVE BATTERY AND PUT IN REFRIGERATOR FOR 30 TO 60 MINUTES.IF YOUR DEVICE IS HOT DURING PROCESS IT CAN CAUSE EMMC CHIP FAILURE (INTERNAL MEMORY).
1.open odin
2.upload firmware in AP tab.
3.download PIT FILE from link below.
4.in odin you have TAB named "PIT" (right next to the options) click on it and upload pit file along with firmware file.
5. go to options in odin and check on "Nand Erase All" and "Re-partition" dont touch anything else in options.
6.do factory reset in your phone.
7.remove sd card and sim card from device.
8.go to download mode in your phone.
9.connect your phone to pc via usb cable.
9.HIT START IN ODIN.
10.once odin shows PASS DO NOT DISCONNECT USB CABLE let it reboot wait 15 minutes and complete setup now you can disconnect usb cable.
11.go to settings and do factory reset for 1 last time.
HOPEFULLY YOU WILL HAVE FRESH OPERATING SYSTEM WITHOUT ANY ERRORS.
GOOD LUCK AND LET ME KNOW.

Hi I'm unable to connect my phone to pc unfortunately and Now I believe this is hardware problem as when I decided to get my phone unlocked the person who was unlocking couldn't connect either so he'd suggested me that it's a hardware problem and couple of days later I was able to connect to PC till today. so I think I won't be able to perform repartition my phone until and unless I get my connectivity back. Thank You so much for your help anyway. I'd definitely give it a try as soon as I get my connectivity back and will update you.
Thanks

I just tired, and nothing worked out. the place where I took my phone to unlock he actually changed the charging and connecting port to check if it's port problem but the result was same until it gets back connectivity on it's own. I just changed the cable reset phone couple of times. It's not even connecting as a media device.

Hello, been a while since I unlocked and installed custom ROMs. Recently I bought a cheap Note 9 and since it is already out of warranty, might as well get a custom ROM to get rid of Bixby.
I used Odin to flash TWRP as per the instructions and now my phone refuses to get out of it. It reboots in to Download mode no matter what button combination I use. Vol down + Power key gets me back in to download mode, if i press all the buttons, same thing. No matter what combo of buttons I use, it just keeps rebooting in to Download mode.
I cannot even turn the phone off... lolwut
The first time it booted in to TWRP, i flashed my ROM and I wanted to reboot to start it but it just keeps coming back to Download mode.
Any ideas?

Ok i somehow fixed it.
When I tried to flash the stock firmware, it gave me Device 4 Binary 3. Googled it and apparently I flashed a BL that's a higher version.
So I fixed it with this genius post from the S6 Edge+ forums by Samuwelle.

RE: sw rev check fail device 4 binary 3 error
For all of you who get a similar error while downgrading:
1. download your firmware
2. download 7-Zip
3. download Odin
4. download tar tool
5. READ the guide to the tar tool
6. create the tar.md5 for boot.img, system.img and modem.bin ONE at a time and always cut the created files into a second folder. (I dont know if you need the .back files but just to be shure put them in, too
7. put your phone into download mode
8. start Odin (make shure phone is connected)
9. navigate to the boot.tar.md5 for "BL", the system.tar.md5 for "AP" and modem.tar.md5 for "CP"
10. press "Start" => DONE
This works for me and might not work for you.
I do not take responsibility for any damage YOU did to your phone.
Feel free to ask questions.
Hope this saves someone's day.

I downloaded the stock beta android 10 ROM, did the above, flashed it with Odin, did it 4 times because the progress bar did not move at all. Finally, the last attempt I just let it run while I played some games, after about 20mins, it still hasn't moved, gave up, pulled out the cable and immediately got an "Error updating, please use Smart Switch Emergency Recovery". SS did not work, did not detect.
Tried the above method again, no dice. I could not get out of the error mode now, so I just opened Reiboot Android and clicked the little button to exit download mode, and for some reason it started booting! LOLOL
I guess it flashed successfully, just that the progress bar for Odin didn't move. Either way, I ain't touching **** now. On Android 10, One UI 2.0, gonna use this til the official thing comes out.
