Well known problem for 4.4 for our device, reboot fix it for some time. But it persists. There is not permanent fix for that now.

1.Turn on Bluetooth
2.Turn on wifi
3.Turn off Bluetooth.
This works for me in every 4.4 ROM.

Hi, I have a problem...yes, again. With WiFi connection. Sometimes it works fine, but always it's connected, but can't do nothing.. market says, no connection.
On my iPod Touch WiFi works perfectly. I haven't got the same IP...
WiFi has a WEP security. I'm using FroyoBread 023b.
Anyone can help?
Try Full Wipe.
Reinstall FroyoBread,if it don't help try another rom (GigerDX,hackdroid, floyo) e.t.c
Ok, so I've tried to do a full wipe, but nothing happend...
After full wipe all worked normally, so i've installed all apps i want and after reboot WiFi doesn't worked well(It's connected, but I can't go to market or browser, it's just saying there is no connection...) . I've tried GingerDX with the same problem, so i will try stock rom... Anyone can help?
On stock ROM all works well, it must be something in custom ROMs...
Is there something in a pack with custom ROM, what can disturb wifi signal?
Is there in the pack any module new module to wifi connection? Can I delete it?
THX for help.
if me, the stock rom cannot connect to wifi and custom rom can connect to WEP wifi ?????

the same happends to my galaxy s. it says remember, the u turn wifi off. then u turn wifi on, and it will get ip, first will fail, and the will get it corectly. and it will remain permanently connected. the (*) means that the connection is AD-HOC. i know its kinda buggy but its the best option we have now. i've searched the whole google and i couldn't find a better version. enjoy.
yes, me too T_T : difficultly connect
So, now i will use it til the new one comes
i just flashed the latest official rom 2.3.6 jvu. and now the wpa_supplicant doesn't work anymore. i rolled back to jvz (ad-hoc worked there with this modified wpa_supplicant), and now it doesn't work at all. i turn on wifi (it turns on really slow), and it doesn't see any wifi connection. any solutions guys? please
ad-hoc for CM9
Can anyone build wpa_supplicant supporting ad-hoc wifi for 4.0.3 or CM9.
The files are not working on gingerbread 2.3.6, kernel xxjw4, SE INFRA. Could someone please make it work? thanks
Hey, I've got a problem after a fresh install of GDX 028b.
My WiFi simply won't connect. It sees the avaliable networks, but when I try to connect to my router it stucks at connecting, at disconnects, then goes back to scanning, doing this cycle forever.
I have an Alfs v08 and GDX v028b, and I've installed the GingerDX Alfs Kernel AddOn v007 as well.
What can cause this problem?
Things I've already done:
-deteled the remembered networks
-completely wiped everything, reinstalled rom, kernel
There's a kind of fix Swift did with titanium. it worked for me even on v28. You may want to search that.
Sent from me to you
yeah try to read this thread

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately this did not work.
Sorry, but I have to bump this.
One last update, I've obviously tried to connect to more networks, some open, some closed, but I still couldn't manage to connect.

The 3G works fine on pac?
However, you can try to flash the boot.img in fastboot and see.
And, what's your problem with the recovery?

I am having the same problem too. Was previously on trickdroid. Flashed Revolt ROM and my wifi wasnt connecting to my home network. It could detect, prompted for the network password but after that it just wouldnt connect. So i looked deeper in the phone's information and discovered that my phone's IP address was in a different IP address range. It was 10.x.x.x and my home router was 192.x.x.x. My sister's S4 had no wifi problems (unrooted) and hers was 192.x.x.x. So now I'm trying to set my HTC One's IP address to 192.x.x.x. Still trying to figure a way out though. Hopefully it will work. Give it a try!
Hi. So, I just got a Samsung S3 GT-I9305 from Vodacom. Got it from eBay. But, I'm having trouble connecting to the wifi. Whenever I connect to the wifi it always says "Authentication error occurred". I turned off the wifi thingy using *#0011# and wiped the cache, I even reset the phone to its factory settings. I sometimes connect to a wifi, but it takes 1 hour or so before being connected. And I have trouble downloading from the playstore. Did everything I could find from the web. No luck.
So, I was thinking, If I would flash a custom rom to my device, will it fix the wifi issue? And would any stock firmware of the I9305 device work?
Thanks! Sorry for being noob.

Hi,
I think it could be a router issue. You should :
- reset your router and retry to connect with your i9305,
- play with WIFI network settings in router. Maybe something doesn't allow your i9305 connection (network type, firewall, etc.). I'm not an expert in router settings, so you could google this to help you.
- try another WIFI network (from a friend, at work, anywhere you can test )
I think that flashing a custom ROM won't change anything. First try to fix your problem with stock firmware.
