Disable Capacitive Buttons on CM10.1

Morning People,
I have enabled the on screen navigation buttons for CM10.1 but hate how the capacitive buttons continue to light up.
Is there a way I can stop this? Either by deactivating them or just turning the light off?

Hi there! I wanted the same for my Samsung galaxy mini 2, cm10.1, and found the following. It worked for me..

(with http) (it seems new members cannot post outside links).
As for the backlight, in my settings there is "advanced" menu, right below "apps", and you can turn backlight off there.. Don't know if it will work for you.

Also, for me, the appropriate file to edit is /system/usr/keylayout/sec_touchscreen.kl..

[Q] Stock-alike keyboard needed kitkat

Is there any keyboards lookalike stock note 1, 2 or 3 for kitkat rom? or 4.3 roms?
i seriously can't find any information about it..
Well, keyboard with numbers in first tile needed (same as stock) for xxlt3 rom /4.41 asylum omni n7000

@vital in playstore multilingual o keyboard beta with English plugin also emoji codec2. When installed go into system - language and input and select the new multilingual o keyboard. I am using it now to respond to you in omni 4.4 nightly build of 8the December ?

but @nokiamodeln91 what do you mean googles got it too?
mine dont, mine google keyboard got the 1234567890 number row on the second row of the keyboard.. .(the ?icons? row) and not in the first as i want it to be in....

As titled. Don't understand why they would've changed the features of the Xperia keyboard, used to work great from 4.1 to 4.2.2, but now they've changed how it functions...
For example, in old version if the predicted word was wrong you press backspace once and the entire word is deleted. Now it deletes the word letter by letter, takes a lot longer to correct your mistakes...
Is there a way, please? Thanks in advance!

No one else found the new keyboard annoying?

At first a little, but like anything after using for a little while I now find it more responsive. Plus as with previous versions, it soon picks up your most used words and I rarely have to use the delete key.
If you want the previous version can you not decompile a previous firmware?

i actually like it , i do hate the new white ui throughout though ....
i'm sure you'll be able to push the 4.2 version of the keyboard on 4.3 (possibly)

I still haven't gotten used to it as I used to use the phonepad & T9, the qwerty is just too innaccurate & slow for me, even my tiny small fingers I make more mistakes than I ever did with phonepad! I keep pressing the comma instead of space too which is irritating!
I hope they bring the phonepad option back in next update? I don't know why they removed it, I had a glitch to begin with as when I updated the phone, the phonepad option was there (even when I switched to qwerty to try & changed back) but after a few times, the option disappeared from my phone which was really weird!
Plus - the option is available if you use the chinese keyboard... So I don't know what's wrong lol?

Android 4.3 keyboard is rubbish
I am jagrat from India. I have Xperia z and zr. I also hate newly Xperia z keyboard.
There are some points to be noticed ;
1.look and quick startup- android 4.3 keyboard very bad than old Xperia 4.2.2 keyboard. Here new key keyboard theme has white background with white keys which creates confuses while typing fast. In response we all know old keyboard starts fast.
2. In old keyboard we had many languages with more suggestions.If you want to type in hinglish there lots of words to be suggested, no need to type more.
3. In new keyboard there is only three suggestions and if you select English and Hinglish they will not be saprate and compiled as bilanguage Now you will get 2 language and only 3 suggestions,- whats funny.
4. Swipe has now also very very bad.If you want to delete word then you have to delete one by one.
5. This is not sufficient There are also much ridiculous funny options like one hand keyboard, set vibration intensity ( are we developer or user...? ), double space to full stop.
6. Change skin when you swipe you will see that swipe effect is noisy not smooth( whats "project butter and smooth UI" shamefully and ridiculous. I am really hopeless and sad for new android)
My both phones and money wasted..!

Capacitive Buttons

Hi,
For people who own a Mi , can we switch the two capacitive buttons?
I would like that the Back Button is on the left and the MultiTask One on the right

There's setting for it, you can switch them, assign them to some other task(short press and long press).

Where is it? I couldn't find any way to switch them. In the settings menu I can only see the setting to assign what should happen when you long-press them

It's the top one, "navigation buttons", you can set overview button on the left, back button on the right, and vice versa.

If you knw how to edit build prop then definitely yes, or maybe some xposed module can do this for you

App called button maper can disable , but when i am closing app from recent panel app stoping work , from security i am turned on autostart but not working , every time when i am close app and unluck screen , again asking me to give accssesability setting permission ....

The Neural Beta pulls suggestions from the cloud as you type. It's also the Beta version of the regular keyboard for testing purposes, new features, ideas etc.

How can I use it on galaxy s9 pie ? It's not available for my country , so I download it from apk mirror and install it. But what now? Nothing has changed.

Go to On Screen Keyboard and click on Manage Keyboard. Next you should see "normal" Samsung keyboard, Google voice typing and Neural Samsung keyboard. Toggle on Neural keyboard and Restart the phone. It should work

Empty space under keyboard
Do you guys have the same problem in Android 9 pie, with the empty space between the bottom of the keyboard and the bottom of the phone?

Hey, use the beuta neural keyboard, you won't have that empty espace anymore ! :good:

After update neural keyboard, empty space will return

It's a feature to type more comfortably in portrait mode + swipe easier if swipe control is used. Actually, my hands are really feeling better when typing a lot vs hand pain, so I guess it's really a good change overall (regarding usability).

Same as above - it's a feature implemented from samsung to type more comfortable in portrait mode + use easier the swipe gestures (if you are on them).
