Hi there when I boot the device sometimes I have no signal and when I try to select the carrier my phone says please insert the sim card!! The only solution is to turn off and on my phone! Very annoying!
I have the model C6903 with android 4.3 firmware.136

Try a different sim card. I've see someone have to send their phone off as no matter what we tried we simply couldn't get it to stick, also try a fresh install could be a long shot and it most likely won't help but you should try everything you can.

There also must be a part of the operating system that forces a reboot when it can't find the sim, disabling that part of the system might help. Not sure what is called though

Hi guys, some weeks ago I got a notification from Samsung of an OTA update for my device (got Samsung account very late XD) of about 14mb. So I decided to update the phone. Everything goes well but the battery life of the phone decreased of 3 hours and more so now I don't know what to do. I updated from XWKT7 to blabla8. The battery was working perfectly until the update so that's not the problem . What should I do ? Thanks for replies
P.S. The battery was not fully charged when I updated the phone

There might be some extra apps in the package that's using up your battery, check it
le random signature o.o
Use odin and flash newest stock for your region..or newest on samfirmware site..Ota is unstable and can f**k up your phone..

I've check out if random apps eats battery in background but nothing new comes with this update. The only app added as a system app is Play Books I've never opened and never runs in background.

I'm runnig the latest rom available for my country and I think flashing the same rom with Odin will be useless and would be like a factory reset.
Thanks for answers

I think the 14MB update upgrades 2.3.4 to 2.3.6 & brings in ddkq8. My ota update was of same size and it all messed up my phone and that brought me to rooting So basically the new update must bring in swipe to unlock and the overall glow effect and some other changes.

Flashing via Odin is much different than a mere factory reset. Try it and use the latest firmware for your region. You will definitely feel much better. Samsung optimizes each update and they're can never be anything wrong with it. It is just the ota update that spoils it.

As I said, just reflash via Odin and it's completely different than a mere factory reset.

Hi all,
I have a C6602, here is the case:
- The phone is running okay without any problem.
- Installed a custom rom for C660X.
- Re-flashed STOCK rom for C6603.
And the problem came after then:
- Everytime I plug in the charger, a promo video is playing (just like some phones in the showroom)
- Everytime I reboot (shutdown and turn on) the phone, all settings and pictures (shot by camera app) are gone.
Re-flashed C6602 stock rom (with wipe data option checked) many times but there is no luck
Does anyone face with this problem before , please help!
You have a c6602 and flash a c6603 ROM?
You are a very brave man (or woman).

In most cases, it's okay to cross-flashing between c6602 and c6603 fw
P/s: btw, I'm a man )

Yes that is correct, you can cross flash c6602 and c6603.
Regarding video playing while charging, I suspect it to be DayDream.
Can you check and confirm in Settings -> Display -> DayDream is off?

BTW, is your phone a demo phone?
Dial *#*#sellmore#*#* and see if it helps!
Daydream is off, dude
I will try the code, I think it may be the culprit. will let you know the result later.
Thank you so much!

It's the second time today I loose my custom TWRP recovery 2.6.3.0. I have never had any problems before. I wanted to go to recovery to flash smth and it just sent me too bootloader. I tried many times and no luck. So I reflashed the recovery with fastboot and everything was ok. Than I wanted to charge my phone, while it was off(faster). As soon as I plugged the charger it sent me directly to bootloader. Tried again and the same. Recovery was gone for the second time. I don't know what to do. I have the latest firmware and am using Insertcoin ROM from the international thread. I think it may be related to the ROM, but am not so sure. Please help!!

I had the same problem with losing recover too and you are right it's from the International roms some of there stuff is not 100%, compatible with our htc one. But like you said no big deal I can live with it.

You can also try this app it works great and will let you flash recovery easy but it does cost money https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.flashimagegui

Just as greydiggy said, use the MJ5 restore method or just install a custom ROM.
I bought a Verizon N6 from Verizon a few weeks ago. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it, installed TWRP and Chroma rom. Everything was working fine with the exception of occasional force closes of Facebook. I then flashed Benzo rom. I noticed days later that I was consistently not getting 4G LTE. From there, I flashed different roms (AOSP, CM, and stocks bases) and the LMY47E bootloader/radio combination all resulting in no 4G. I also tried tinkering with the APN settings and the other settings in Mobile Networks without any luck. I tried creating an APN, but it doesn't save it. Lastly, I tried doing the *228 update and a factory reset without the SIM card in, still no luck.
So in the end, I have no 4G LTE. My phone seems to work like normal, just slower data. (3G data and voice work). If anybody has any suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Mine has done that too..just use wug tool kit ...flash back to stock then reroot and do twrp again....that's what I've had to do ....just don't relock bootloader of course..will take about 2o minutes but you will have lte back....
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I did try that, except I went and relocked the bootloader. Wug didn't install stock recovery though, so I flashed stock, unrooted and relocked the bootloader.. All with TWRP still installed. I thought it was bricked for a moment, but it worked out. Unlocked and rooted again, but still no 4G.

I'm not sure why it didn't install stock recovery; I thought it was supposed to too. Maybe I missed something.
And yes, the sim was in with the *228. I was a little skeptical about that afterwards too, but my wife was having signal issues and remedied it with that on her Note 3. So I gave it a go.
