Hello guys! My tablet was quickly discharged in waiting mode (near 10%-1hour). All app off. WiFi turned off in ALL settings too. I spent a lot of tests and dont found a problem. In normal mode consumption battery such as is normal (2hour - games, 5hours - video) You are my last chance. I want to believe that it is not defect, because i havent guarantee
now. Firmware - cromix b5 (I tested all firmware - the same battery consumption).
P.s. Sry for bad English, I hope you understand me
Did you try the stock from too?
Something could be wrong with your battery, but did you have the drain also when you received the tablet fully stock not unlocked?
You also could try to monitor the real drain with android tuner but I don't know if this tablet is already supported.
Sent from my Asus Infinity TF700 with Dock
Hmm I have done some testing today and it seems the google services I used as well as the google search cause extra battery drain. I lost about 30% in 8 hours being just connected to to wifi and not using the tab. The fix in the short term is to turn wifi off when not using the device.
Let me make a patch to revert to the original Asus versions to see if it stops the drain. Will post it in the CROMi-X thread for testing.
OK If you are suffering excessive battery drain when sleeping and wifi is on please try this patch. This will revert the Google Services and Google Search App and Libraries back to the default Asus 4.3 versions and then force a redownload of the latest versions to /data when you open up the play store.
My investigations indicate these two apps are causing many wakelocks to keep the device form sleeping properly.
Please flash from recovery - it will auto wipe cache and dalvik cache. Let me know if it helps please.

Is it normal to have only 7hrs battery (screen woke up) on this tablet with 2hrs game & 5hrs video ?
In my case it takes around 8 hours to drain all the battery in normal mode (only surfing & using office apps with the dock) and I was wondering if I should send the tablet back to Asus. I did some factory resets and recently a data wipe but it changes nothing.
7hrs without the dock. around 8 - 9hrs with it.

7 hrs with screen on is very good! You should be getting 10+ with the dock.
problem

I mean 2 hours games OR 5-6 hours video.
In tests, the main consumer of the battery is the screen but if I turn on WiFi or any application, then it will be the main consumer. Most likely it's a defect.:crying:
You could try android tuner 3c or the battery app to check your battery consumption etc.

No still sounds about right. You won't get a lot of battery out of intensive gaming - depends on the game. I think you may be expecting too much.

Excuse me if i'm not posting in the good thread. But could you tell me more about how the dock battery works?
Does using dock while none of the two batteries (tablet+dock) are at 100% charge could somehow reduce the autonomy of one of the two batteries?
Can the dock be used as a charger to fully charge the tablet?
Is there any way to know if the tablet is 100% charged without booting? And also for the dock ?
Thank for answering it could really be helpfull because i don't see any q/a talking about this.

Dock only starts charging the tab if the tab battery drops below 70%. Stops charging at 95% or so.
That's it. Not aware if anyone has figured out how to change the behaviour.
Thank you for that, but if i charge the tablet or thz dock while the batterie is at 70% , is that bad for autonomy? Or should we charge only full cicles ( 15% to 100%?

Charge it how you want. Modern batteries don't need full cycle charging anymore as far as I am aware.
I have noticed the battery issue as well with short battery life but only when I have the Pad connected to a 5GHz WiFi signal. If I use the 2.5GHz the battery lasts a lot more time. The tablet also gets warm with the 5 and not with the 2.5. Has anyone else experienced this?

I bought a Galaxy Tab 7 Plus on Friday and spent the weekend adding movies, music, etc..So far, I love the device.
Last night I set it on my desk with about 86% battery left but did not plug it in and did not turn it off. I simply let it sleep...
When I got up this AM, it was unresponsive as the batter had completely drained. I have no way of knowing why this happened since the device went off completelya nd any programs I may have left running were no longer running of course.
Is this normal for an unusde device overnight? Anyone else experience this? Should I return it?
Thank You!

I suppose you also let the WiFi and BT run also ? If yes, then it's absolutely normal If no, you should check what apps you had running in the background... and as a golden rule : use the night to recharge and the day to use it.
Yes thanks. I did leave WiFi on but no BT. I typically do charge my devices overnight but just forgot last night so the batter drain was a little worrisome. I will try it again tonight without WiFi on and see if that makes a difference. Thank You!

Hi,
Not the slightest idea What apps are you running ? What is running in the background ? Basically, I've never heard about ABD having a battery issue, unless your battery is damaged somehow. Maybe you should try a battery-widget to check the system on battery-hogs and/or uninstall everything the reinstalling one by one testing battery lifetime.
Cheers
Hi,
my left my P6200 to charge like 5 hours but it still won't reach 100% full. its only close to 85%. I start charging it around 20%.
Device is off when charging.
any idea how long does it takes to fully charge it?
and another thing is the area around the Sim card and Memory card slots area heats up at the back cover quite easily when use.
anyone experience these?

Wipe battery-stats ?
Hello guys I'm a newbie here so please do explain to me some of the stuff if you need to
so recently (about 2 weeks ago) I used this guide to root my Incredible S and did everything except the Blackrose part
and since then
I've noticed that my phone has drained its battery a lot quicker than usual
I lost 11% of battery when I woke up, fully charging it the night before
I usually do not use it much, only a call every 2 days or so, and I do not have internet connection
so I cannot understand how I have to charge it every day now, when it used to last 4 days (on Sense)
here's a pic from betterybatterystats
thanks everyone
------- 4/10 edit
ok
back to stock rom
it has the SAME problem
"No data connection" and "No or Unknown Signal" on Betterbatterystats
with steep drops in battery whenever there is "Mobile network signal"
and next to no drop whatsoever when there isn't
PLEASE HELP ><
new attachments down there with stock rom
tell me if you need a translation
THANKS

I know and I've tried to look around for answers for quite a few days
but for most people
it's either the same as Sense or something else (too many apps, not charging fully...)
and for those with similar conditions
I can't find solutions for
and the problem got worse today
in the 7 hours I slept yesterday
the battery drained from more than 50% to nothing
so the alarm didn't ring because it shut itself off

The standard charging time isnt what it says on the box or anything. It should be roughly 6 hours from 0% to 100% and thats providing you plug it into an AC outlet. I would suggest trying an app called Greenify. It hibernates certain apps/ services that may not be in use thus saving battery. I would also regularly check the Running Apps in settings and clear out anything unecessary.

I don't have a charging problem
it's a drainage problem
and about Greenify
I already installed that when I looked over the battery saving guide (which didn't help)
I literally have 5 apps in the Running Apps section
the part I don't get is
why does Cyanogenmod 10.1 use battery so much quicker than Sense
when I have 1/4 the apps I originally did?
it's the "No Data Connection" and "No or Unknown Signal" part really bothers me.
oh and thanks for the time btw

Hmm then this battery drainage is strange. Try making a full backup in recovery. Then clean flash the ROM again. If the problem still persists, then I have absolutely no idea whats wrong lol

Actually
I tried that...
on Sunday afternoon I reflashed it
my exact steps:
1. ClockworkMod backup
2. Install from zip
3. Advanced restore - data (I restored the whole thing too once before that, but thought that just restoring the data might actually change something)
and that's when it went from 50% to 0 overnight
not looking too good -.-

just in case anyone knows what they mean
Drained 56% of my battery while I was asleep yesterday (for about 7 hours)
only 6% in the time I was at school, because of Airplane mode (I even listened to music and played a little Doodle Jump)
but I obviously want a phone to CALL PEOPLE
so I'm reverting to stock Rom
OK
so that didn't work out
I edited the main article
hope someone can help!!
meanwhile I'll look for more articles online since I know it's not (really) CM's problem anymore
thanks
Ensure to charge your mobile fully and after a NORMAL usage (calls, WiFi, Mobile Data on).
Just share the dump file from betterbatterystats. It would help to analyse better.
Edit:
Could notice you are using some widgets in the home screen. Usually widgets with high refresh rate drains your battery.
2. Facebook app is causing the partial wakelock. Even when the screen is off, the app is using your CPU. Try to disable autosync if it's enabled
3. Audio_out3 wakelock is due to phone vibrator is enabled. May be during call or keyboard haptic feature.
Power manager service wakelock is common and its in good level.
Try to check your CPU freq n governor.
And adjust accordingly. One more, Li-on battery should not be charged fully. Just charge till 85-90%. The battery will drain little lower compared to fully charged device. And you need to charge your device only when battery is low. Frequent charging n discharging will affect the battery life. Consistent Charge and discharge cycle is encouraged.
Try to share your fresh dump here or in batter battery status thread. There are many folks to help you with.

My widgets (aka weather & tasks) only refresh manually, and nothing is on Autosync (in the auto sync menu, anyways)

and what is "CPU freq n governor"?

Yeah seems to be a common android problem, some apps have runaway processes, others prevent deep sleep and I have also seen kernels lock CPUs. Shame Google can't put some effort into fixing it.
It's not an Android or a Google problem, it's the fault of the developer of the App which is causing this...
Since 4.3 I lose 0 % over night and I can use the table 1 hour every day for reading magazines, e-mail and angry birds for at least 5 days! Just great

Google / Android should not let an app prevent deep sleep imo. Or runaway with resources. But yes you are right some responsibility has to be with the app developer for sloppy programming as well.

In some cases it could be useful or even wanted. Think of an emergency app with running bluetooth and GPS. You would not want Android to kill the app in the middle of your tour

You can wathc under "settings" -> "energy management" -> "energy table" which app it is and you can prevent it to wake the device up and to keep the device alive.
A few weeks ago I had a similar but stronger akku draining problem with the google apps but its gone (a pitty that I can´t say what it was: me doing this things in the energy management or google updating its app).
My google play-services still wake the device 869 times in 3 days.
New results. Very strange. No power consuming app seems to be running, but I still got -3%/hour.
Battery statistics shows that 80% most power is consumed by the screen. But it the tablet was in sleep all the time, so the screen was off...

Check in Settings on "Energieverbrauchstabelle" (something like "engery consumption table") from Asus, there you can see the power consumption of the apps without Display. If you click on a specific app you can disable it to keep awake or wake tablet from deep sleep...
If that not helps you you should reset everything and go back to stock. Then you can check without installed additional apps if your "bleeding" still is there. Then install one app after another and wait between every single one to check which is the "bad app"...
So, in fact it was a hardware issue. I took another unit and it works perfectly. For now...
Anyway, thanks for your help, guys
With tablet off (deep sleep) I get 1 % battery loss in 12 hrs.

Gentleman, currently im having a big issue with my S3 Mini.
Some weeks ago, the battery started draining in a really short lapse of time. We are talking of aprox. 12 hourse of low usage (one phonecall, no sms, little whatsapp mesagging, some web sufring). By checking Betterbatterystats, i can confirm that almost 11 hours, the phone screen is off (or maybe 10 hours and a half).
I dont know what to do, i turned on airplane mode, and the problem persits. Changed rom 3 times (4.1.2 to 4.4, to 4.1.2 again), wiped data, cache, system, internal memory, etc..
Betterbatterystats screenshots are ATTACHED TO THE POST!!, to see if you cand find a wakelock, alarm, or something that can be interfering the battery life. (btw, i ruled out that theory since i changed rom and wiped everything so many times, but maybe there is something attached indefinetlely to the phone, really dont know).
The battery itself is the only reason in my mind right now, but the phone is only 9 months old (as well as the battery of course).
One thing that calls my attention, is that the charging time takes 2 hours max, maybe 1 hour and a half. Can the battery be damaged with so little lifetime?
Appreciate your help!!!

i had the same problem half a year ago (mine was also 8-9 months old back then). The phone started rebooting and many weird stuff happened I changed the battery and everything was ok. Now it's acting up again and i might change battery again.

Turn off wifi and reboot that helps sometimes . On the first Screenshot was your wifi always on. On the last Screenshot was your Android OS on the first place. That was the 1GHz bug.
facebook updates
Don't have facebook app (only messenger), and without messenger app, the battery keeps draining.
I red on the internet that the 1ghz bug tends to appear on Cyanogenmod. Only had cyanogenmod 11 for some days, turned back again to the stock rom.
Could this bug affect my phone right now? How can i fix it?
If not, im really thinking of buying a new battery, but the risk of another problem affecting the battery usage from the phone keeps turning me back!
Thanks!!

if you didn't do a full wipe before moving back to stock maybe it could cause an issue

The battery don't seems to be neither round or thicker, and it don't spins freely.
Have you tried 'telling' the battery how much capacity it has again? (Drain until it automatically shuts down due to flat battery, charge back to 100% while off, switch on, drain again, charge again and use as normal)
Many manufacturers recommend charging when you reach 15-20% during normal use.
Also, have a look at govenors/schedulers if you have a custom ROM installed. Maybe changing combo works better for you, or even changing combo and switching back.

It will be better for you, if you read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1460553 and don't use such apps

It won't harm your device. Would you mind sharing from where you're getting a 2000mah battery and if it's the same size as the 1500mah one from Samsung?
I'm currently on a 1700mah battery for the Galaxy Ace II

Im from Kenya but the battery is available on Ebay. I saw 2450 mah batteries that come with a case so I guess they are bigger. Battery is a huge issue for me. I only get 4hrs maximum on 3g on my current battery and is so fruatrating. How long does the Ace 2 battery last?

Hey Guys,
Just picked up note 4 and I've noticed a severe battery drain when using the phone.
On Devik, but only with 30m 33s of screen on time the battery is down to 86%.
I've been greenifying everything I can, but still a drain.
Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same?

Only had the issue for the first few hours because of all the downloading it was doing and I wish pushing and pulling a lot from dropbox to my phone using astro. After all the crap was installed and done moving it went to a more normal level. Mine has been unplugged for about five hours now with about the same amount of screen time and a few calls and it's still at 87%.
I hope this doesn't turn out to be a real issue with the battery or anything.
I have actually noticed the same thing. I'm guessing that's why the international version of the phone got an update so quickly. Hopefully we get it as well, and it'll be in a flashable .zip
Update isn't due out until the global launch which is the 17th that's probably when it will be released. My battery has been amazing 2.5 hours screen time and only down 30% and I watched 2 hours of ESPN first take

thats good to know..
we all know there is no way to compare or even comment on battery useage the first week or so; it takes that long for the battery to "settle" in, and, of course, until you put the damn phone down for a few hours, which wont even happen the first week, you can't really know how the battery is..Plus, OF COURSE, since no two phones are used exactly the same way, with the exact same programs, the exact same push notifications, and the exact same programs starting up automatically, my battery stats really mean nothing to any one else...
that being said, I am sure there will be dozens of battery threads here within the first few days anyways..
Note 4 Battery Drain is real
All three people I know that have the Note 4 were experiencing the same issue I had with excess battery drain with the always generic "android system" taking more battery than anything else including the screen.
I downloaded an app called "System Tuner" and looked the CPU% for Android system and it was a constant 3-4% when the phone was otherwise idle.
I found a post at http://support.t-mobile.com/thread/80459 and the person was able to address the issue by turning location off, rebooting, turning location on, and rebooting again. After I did this I saw Android system idle at ~0.6% - 1.1% instead. So far I'm getting much better battery life but I'll need to give it some time to know for sure.
Hope this helps!

Note 4
I Had one Note 4, and I charged it twice a day, and not using too much from him.
On battery since 5am and I arrive at 5pm with less than 20%.
At the place that I bought they told me that they had changed some Note 4 to the iPhone 6 Plus because the same situation!
I changed mine too, I Love android, but there is too many problem with Android, and for know I will try one bigger iPhone!
At least this one works for two days...
I love the Note equipments, I had, note 2 Note 3, and Note 4, S2, S3, S4, S5 and too many problems with Samsung, tried LG, but I don't get used to the back keys...I need the front key like Samsung and iPhone to turn on the screen!
One thing that Samsung must to improve is the fingerprint, since the one implemented on the iPhone works way better!
The iOS is way limited, but works way smooth and fast with less hardware! Lets see if I get used to it this week, if not I will return to Note 4 even with that problem...but it is an annoying problem that Samsung should resolve as soon as possible!!!
