Not sure if these can be ported but here they are if anyone wants to give it a shot
Probably need touchwiz framework to get it going.... wouldn't be impossible, but most likely not simple either
added touchwiz framework
Not sure if that's whats needed to get codecs working on NS i really have no clue really but music play itself IMO is really good, much better than stock
So does this work?

no at the moment
Since it has only been one day, I am sure this will get ported. I also hope that Samsung Media Hub is ported over while waiting for Netflix!
At the very least it would be great to get the codecs. SGS plays everything under the sun.

Bumping this request because compared to my Galaxy S, the stock camera, music player, and video player on Gingerbread are pathetic. Anybody hear of anything on the Galaxy S apps working on the Nexus S? (seriously considering going back to my SGS)
Bump, all stock media players are just awful.
I'm looking into the same thing.. In addition to the Player I'd like to port the Clock apk and the dual-clock widget.
The SGS Clock apk is very handy with world clock/timer/stop watch in addition to the Alarm clock it self.
If anyone can do so?
Here I attach the apks
i also like the sgs calculator better. you could minimize the numbers and see your history of what you've calculated.

Its long been known that porting any of the stock Samsung apps is completely impossible without the entire TouchWiz framework. If you are desperate for these apps you should work on having a port of TouchWiz for the Nexus S however, and I hate to have to be frank like this, I wouldn't hold your breath. The general consensus seems to be that there aren't devs interested in porting TouchWiz.
Hey, all.
I have great news for you! I have compiled a fully stable version of Ice Cold Feats v2.1, and I have compiled a v3 Beta with some awesome (but scary) Experimental features!
Version 2.1
Asus Widgets
Trebuchet (Yes, even for AOSP!)
Beats Audio (which is slimmer and more reliable)
New Wallpapers By Asus and Me!
Performance tweaks in build.prop
Adjusted to work best with 73xx - made a separate version for 73xx and 75xx
Version 2.9.9 (3.0 Alpha)
All of the above
An EXPERIMENTAL (This means I really don't know how will it work):
Tile Rendering Should improve performance and particularly FPS!
Here are the download links:
EXPERIMANTAL WIFI 3.0 ALPHA
Stable v2.1 Wifi Only
Looks like you people like it . More than happy to hear that? Can somebody tell me how this works on your Tabs?

Runs beautifully after installing it over a CM 9 on the WiFi version of the tab without any hiccups at all after a clean installation. Also maybe it's just me but the Beats does not mix well with using an equalizer on the tablet, disabling the equalizer made everything better though, just an observation thanks a lot for this! I'm pretty excited to see more development for my beloved tablet.
You should really post some pics, that will encourage people to try your addon.
I will, but honestly, the most changes are under the hood. Audio, smooth scrolling. Ill do that though as soon as i can
great work dev. if you fix the camera will be the legend.

As soon as a Dev gets a hold of that Official ICS update coming out today in Canada, it won't be long after that.
The wait is almost over!
Look forward to trying this out too!
Thanks,
NHT
that's great, thanks...
hope to see more features soon
So ive flashed this addon with fullwipe. But i cant see or feel any improvement by speed. Any Launcher is stuttering by changing the screens like without your addon. To beats audio i cant check it out now. But i will test it tonight.
Btw. Benchmarks says the same i feel, no really speed improvements. But thx for your try.
The browser should be smoother. I cant fix the launcher stutter. It is for some reason in every ics launcher

Ok. But the same bye the Browser. Also micro stutterting bei ICS Browser and ICS+ Browser, which imho the smoothest Browser now.

Yes. Increasing cache and one more tweak in build.prop. I'll post it here for everybody as soon as I get to my laptop.

Yes it works on my 7500.
Care to help your little brother (Galaxy 8.9)? Would love to try that wallpaper with the tree on the hill at night.

Hi,
I have created a mod for the camera app on the Galaxy S6 Edge such that it works properly under device dpi of 540 or 480. I would really appreciate it if someone owning a Galaxy S6 would be willing and able to test my mod for the camera app on a Galaxy S6 (I only own the Edge).
If you decide to help out, even though I can't imagine anything going wrong if you know what you're doing, please know that you're doing it at your own risk and make sure you have a nandroid backup just in case.
You can find my mod at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/themes-apps/mod-samsung-camera-app-dpi-t3131567
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Bane.
Hi... I have an S6 (G-920I) working at 520 dpi, your 540 dpi mod (the amk19 one) worked on my phone. It's still have a black area in the side and bottom (because of the different dpi) but is enough for me to be happy with the camera now. Thanks!!!
I tried before to mod the app for my resolution but the video does not work in my mod.

I found that using Terminal is easier than using an app. Just run the following command (where you replace "###" with your desired DPI):
adb shell wm density ### && adb reboot
What an amazing job thanks!
Another apps.
Launcher. Dialler. Need to optimization?
Great job for the 520 dpi!!

Somehow the supplied files didn't work on my GalaxyS6, I recreated it myself using apktool and the framewrok-res,.apk and Samsungcamera4.apk from the XtreStoLite rom (1.4b) for 480dpi and that DOES seem to work. File is attached... Might do some other ones as well later on (also for the 1.5 version of that rom).
All credits to op for the dimens.xml file which I used!
@up: this works fine with S6, big thx.
Files from 1st post didn't work for me (FC camera app after reboot)
EDIT:

Slow motion doesn't work, some options too.

Do these actually work with the files from the 1st post?

Great job, you should compile a collection of these multi-dpi mods.

Just flashed. No night light and no always on.
Pretty much it's only what's listed in the OP and nothing more.. so I'm not sure what the "And more..." At the end is about.

One problem, the google photo backup option is locked to original quality which actually will cost the google drive space. Anyway to revert to high quality option?

In theory Dolby Atmos is just code so it's possible but the At stuff is some funny business with cameras and even though we have great cameras I think we might be missing a certain sensor or something
Will you port it if it's possible ? Otherwise subscribe to the appropriate Note 8 sections and check them once in a while to see what's new.

there is a rom now with both of these:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...orted-rom-note8-s9-features-included-t3796463
Dolby works on ported s9 roms but it just increase volume about 5%. Nothig special magick effect like old Dolby atmos. I think some dev can manage to get working full Dolby atmos on oreo roms.

3D stickers is not AR Emoji.
The rom you are referring too, does not have AR emoji. Just the Disney ar stickers, simlar to snapchat
AR Emoji, is when you take a selfi it converts you to a type of avatar / emoji. A cartoon looking version of yourself.

For me on S9 Port from 92Du$ter Dolby does not really work... You hear hardly a difference.. Nor switched on or between the modes music or voice.... There were big differences to hear on nougat Atmos for Magisk.

Nope and nope.
Without root access, the is nothing that really works..
As far as customisations go, power amp premium, Mx player with custom codex is A-OK.
Both of Dolby's Digital & Atmos do work on Oreo based rooted time. Not sure about exynos support but it's a baking into the rom /system- so should be working.
I'll be glad to participate in such a project. I believe the most experienced developer in XDA would be Monseigneur @guitardedhero maybe shed some light please!
