please don't start 2 threads for the same question: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635386
and you should posted in this thread
btw it was 4 thread below yours in general section, search a bit next time please.

@Aktheprodigy
Just so you know, I've deleted the thread you made in General as it's a duplicate of this thread. Also, as mentioned above, the battery stats thread is the more suitable place for your request so I'll close this thread

Had anyone tried Cog 4.2.2 with...

Has anyone tried Cognition 4.2.2 with different kernals and modems yet? I'm currently running 4.1.1 with Speedmod's latest and KP1, and getting excellent battery life... though I notice the phone sometimes lags a bit.
I love the features and overall smoothness of Cognition, but I changed out the modem (to JK4, and then to KP1) and kernal on 4.1.1 because it was killing my battery, and it was a pretty laggy, too. I've been singularly unimpressed with KB1.
Try the Cognition sticky at the top of the forum, where this should have been posted.
The moderator is quite free to move the thread if its placement is a problem... but I've noticed on far more than one occasion that questions specific to various ROMs, be they technical or concerned with more general matters, have been asked in the general Q and A section.
Which is why I asked here, and not in the Sticky, which doesn't always get perused by the larger population.
Using the KB1 modem with Overstock kernal. All features work, call quality and signal are amazing, bluetooth is clear, and I can get about 37 hours out of my battery from 100% charge with normal usage.

The moderators created those stickies for exactly this purpose, which you defeat by thinking you deserve personalized attention in your own thread.
Please use the Q&A stickies for Rom related questions instead of opening new threads.

Cyanogenmod 7.2 RC1

Hi everybody,
I just wanted to share with the entire LG Optimus Black community my experience with the brand new ver. of Cyanogenmod that came out a couple of days ago (7.2 RC1). I have to say...it's like a have a brand new, "lightening fast", phone. What a difference between stock rom and this. I suggest everyone tries it (with go launcher, adw launcher sucks). So far everything has ran buttery smooth. So if your like me...and detest the crappy made stock rom....this is a must!
Cheers!
there is already a thread to discuss CyanogenMod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1241460
Have you used the nightlies before this or do you come directly from stock/another?
How about sound scaling issues or battery life?
Sent from my wi-fi toaster.
how about video recording fps? and sound loudness issue?
Guys, please continue this discussion, and post your questions on the Cyanogenmod topic.
thread reported to Mod, there is no need to redundant threads.

What is best LG 4x KitKat ROM that have (bestBattery+Volume Wake + Notification LED)

hi, i am now on stock based Zaibian ROM and want to install kitkat
there is many kitkat roms in XDA for 4x
i need help to choose best in battery life (i had vanir rom some old days and not good battery at all and changed to stock based)
3D games and overclocking cpu and gpu.... is not important for me. it drains battery
i need volume wake and notification LED for missed events too
can anyone help me to choose?
Well, you should wait at least 1 more month before flashing kitkat roms, because they are not stable/bugfree yet.
If you want to play with kernels and such flash 1 rom per week and test what is best for you.
Personally i recommend staying on stock, just wait for Zaiben Stable(RC 8 ).

"Best" ROM, Kernel etc threads are not allowed on XDA. You should also search first as things like Volume Wake and Notification LED are easy enough to add yourself to other ROMs.
Download a few and try them to see how they feel and how they work for you - never rely on someone else to advise you on which is "Best" as it is all subjective, based on how you use the phone and how it feels to you.
It fills like thread gonna be closed

It isn't allowed, and if you don't know why then search and read a little.
@hesami
It's not allowed to post questions like this. U can read some topics in "Optimus 4X HD Original Android Development".
But I don't want to be a sheriff like @SimonTS and can support You with my thoughts.
For me most suitable rom is CM11 official due to very often updates and fully working camera (photos + vide orecording). There is also CyanFox rom which is much faster and smother than CM11 and what is important can get working camera by installing additional aps from market. But this is only me. You definetelly need to read more about this roms to get your best one.
PS. I'm using Iodak 9.9 kernell which improves a lot smothness of these roms.

I'm not trying to be a sheriff There are rules on XDA and they exist for a very good reason. When someone has those rules pointed out to them and then try to argue and claim that they "don't think so" the rules exist it gets to be very annoying. If you also have a problem with the rules then I would suggest you PM a moderator and ask them to get the rules changed - see how far that gets you

I love You man . I agree with rules of this forum. I accepterd it at the very beggining of my profile . What is more I agree with You that this topic should not be created. But I think (and this is only my opinion) that Your are just the man who "suggest" everyone what should they do (deffinition of sheriff) and Your suggestions are always the same "use search option", "do do that", "there was a topic of that" etc. so please don't suggest me PM's to moderator .
PS. I suggest You to report this topic to moderator and probably my answers to .
We do not allow best ROM/Kernel threads on XDA. Head over to the development section, try some out and see which best suits your needs.

Q&A for [ROM][LOLLIPOP][RRO-Layers] XenonHD-5.0.2 Beta5 (Feb. 6th 2015)
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM][LOLLIPOP][RRO-Layers] XenonHD-5.0.2 Beta5 (Feb. 6th 2015). I wanted to let you guys know that I was trying tether on your ROM and it was not making an internet connection.
Sucks because this is the only Lollipop rom worth flashing.

Does anyone knows if this rom can be flashed on the note 4 (910f)?
Frequent network diaconnect
I have been using this rom for around a day and overall smooth. But I am losing network connectivity frequently (every hour or so for 5 mins) and unable to make/receive calls during that period. Anybody else having this issue? This is for T-Mobile Note 4, 3-12 build.
Also Google Play Services seems to awake all the time. Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I have searched and didn't find soluction.
5.1
any word on Android 5 .1 for this rom
When it's ready it is ready never ask for etas
your first posts, and you not only ask the same question twice.

To all in this forum......... Post Respectfully or DO NOT POST.
To the New Guy posting, you need to read rules, and follow them. There is an etiquette to posting
1. Do not make requests for update to a ROM unless you are the one making that ROM..... people make the Custom ROM for their pleasure and learning experience, not to satisfy anyone's personal need in XDA.
2. When unsure about something SEARCH 1st.
3. When posting be kind, civil and Respectful.
4. Stay on topic
Following these basic guidelines will help you improve your experience in XDA. If you post a question for help someone will most likely help........ that is what XDA is about....... helping each other to improve our Android/phone experience

Moderator, Devs should also be respectful. They are appreciated but users don't need be talked to like they are beggers . the one guy was just asking if something was possible and got flipped on. Some people just afraid to speak out against things like this, but not me. I'm respectful to all but some devs and moderators need check themselves. I don't bite my tongue !

Understdable, but he was not just asking a question, he was asking basically for an eta on 5.1 & you know that is frowned upon. Users also need to practice manners, etiquette, & troubleshoot issues on their own. It is not the Dev's job to be here at all times leading these guys by the hand. A dev is simply sharing his work, if a user doesn't like it or feel it is updated fast enough than that user should simply move on. To me, a user asking for an ETA is extremely rude.

when in doubt refer to video!
hey it's the new guy again the noob the scrub lol,I have a question.I see under the download thread that your latest version of this ROM is February 20th 2015,that is the rom version I'm running.is there a newer version out that I'm missing, and no I'm not asking for a ETA.JUST ASKING IF IM UP TO DATE,Thanks so much love your work and love the rom
choppy video
Video is choppy is some instances. Facebook video is choppy, in web page video is choppy. YouTube is good. Thank you for you hard work, it really feels much smoother and quicker than a stock.
Awesome ROM!
I searched for it in the thread and nothing came up so I just want to confirm - are all S-pen functionality retained? And if I wanted to go back to stock firmware, is there anything special I should know?
Location services issues
Hi, I loved this rom because it's smooth, stable and the battery life it's insane. I have a problem though when trying to use applications that require using GPS, for example, I downloaded a weather app and for some reason it can't find my location. I activated location services as battery saver on settings. Any tip to fix this? Thank you!

Mosr amazing battery life cycle I've ever had!!

IllOkay folks, first of all I would like to mention that I did a bit of a search and couldn't find a similar thread. So I made one. Actually this morning I charged my device like I usually do. But the unusual thing is that the battery lasted for so long it had me drop my jaw... We are talking about almost 7 hours of SoT with internet browsing, texting,a bit of music and gaming!!! I just had to share this with the community.
I should mention that all this happened thanks to the amazing developers at XDA. I am running 5.1 boost pop coupled with code blue kernel. F2FS + Undervolted CPU. It's buttery smooth with fantastic battery. Thanks devs!
I'll add screen shots soon. I am on mobile
Although it's nice you've had such a great battery-cycle, there are (of course) battery threads here, like
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2509132 . I think you should post it there, or leave a 'thanks-message' in the threads of the devs you praise, instead of creating a whole new thread.
