Sounds like you have only soft bricked it so in theory it should be recoverable. I reckon Adam Outler is your man if he is willing to help, he seems to know all there is to know about this device.
His profile is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3682533
Sorry I can't be more help, good luck though.

ah in that case my post was right
Edited my original post. does 0 really look like 9 ??
i think he typed that correctly, it really is s5839i. maybe its just another variant of s5830i.
heres a thread where someone asked howto network unlock the said model number
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661031
and the unlocking tool used, the galaxy toolbox app really listed s5839i as one of supported with proven tested and working device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647703
a huge typo mess if those are typos

haha what are the chances of all those being typo's
must be really rare, there's hardly anything with a google search.
Your going to have to take it to a service centre(say kies crashed when updating) Your phone model is really rare.
Looks like you wont have it for monday
Whats the specs of the s5839i?

Hi peeps, its the end of the year 2013. And my previously owned galaxy ace is dying out of slowness, incapability and lagginess.
I've now got the new Galaxy ace 3.
Just rooted it with vroot and installed SuperSU.
Though im yet to find any proper CWM that is capable with this phone.
The usual methods that uses Odin and flashing the PDA doesn't work for me.
Any help is appreciated
PS, XDA doesnt recognize Galaxy Ace 3 yet and please do let me know if i've posted in the wrong place.
Sharing is caring, respect is all the wealth we need.
I got the Ace III about a day after you and have already managed to brick it :crying:
So if you make any progress with CWM or Odin etc please post back.
It's such a good little phone I'd hate to give up on it.
Thanks

Looks like the same one from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548856
I've been holding that one in reserve since my phone model appears to suggest it will not be compatible - and I'm in the "Twice shy" phase of my meddling
Thanks for that though. I'm also investigating obackup (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040507&page=478) as an alternative to CWM, no luck there yet either. I'm in an unfamiliar position of having a fairly new device
EDIT - Just occurred to me that message was probably for the OP, still - thanks.

Thank you for the warning
cant anyone get a rom for my phone? @GoodDayToDie has the same phone and he unlocked it right?
I haven't messed with anything at the ROM level, sorry. If something went wrong with my phone, I would just hard-reset it. If for some reason I then couldn't re-interop, I'd try WOLF's pseudo-ROM flash, but I'm not going to mess with such things unless I need to.

It would have been really great if you could get the ROM
And flashing the pseudo rom is dangerous right? I am from india and this phone is canadian. I dont think even the service centers here would be able to make it work again!
Is there anyone here who can get the ROM? Its not an issue if that person needs money!
