Hi guys,
I upgrade my htc one to 4.4.2 yesterday and everything was fine. However, I did notice my lockscreen changed to a new one with the lock in the center and when pressed it there's ripples/circles around it. My phone died after awhile and when I went to restart it, the lockscreen reverted back the original where you swipe up to unlock. I was wondering if I can get that lockscreen back with the lock in the middle? I don't want to download another app to get it back, and surely it must be built in there somewhere..?

I'd LOVE to know how you got that without installing something else.
So the lockscreen I had was similar to the attached pic, but had the weather next to the the clock like the stock lockscreen. I updated the phone through twrp with "[ROM][4.4.2 Sense][STOCK]4.06.651.4 Rooted Deodexed and Odexed" from here.

Guys. When on lock screen tap on the home button then slide up . You will see the aosp lock screen where you can then open Google now. Idk if this is something new but I noticed it after updating to 4.4.2

I was surprised too how I ended up with a different lockscreen. But I really liked the look of it.

Do they show up when ur not locked ?
The shortcuts I want to use show up on my home screen yes, but when I hit the power button and cycle the screen back to being locked there is nothing. I am not sure if it has something to do with the tweaks of the rom.
I tried enabling and disabling through leedroid tweaks and got nothing

I wonder if something in the Rom didn't flash right I've never seen that but there's a lot I've not seen , maybe try and reflash the Rom. Not sure man maybe someone can help .

Lately the same issue started for me too. Lock screen shortcuts have been enabled. With clean flashed Nameless however, there's no problem.
I tried to delete lock screen data and cache, still the same.
The red and grey spots only come when I move the lock ring but I don't unlock it, otherwise only the shortcuts are missing.
If I press the power button again without unlocking, the shortcuts are back.
Can it be that a calendar event or similar notification on the lock screen stuck somewhere in the ROM and causes this?

(3 days passed since the install)
Hey all ....
I am having some extremely frustrating problems with Widget Locker Lockscreen here on my HTC One.
First, I can't seem to get the homehelper to work correctly as it doesn't even look like its saving my settings when I switch launchers or anything for testing. I don't need a PIN or security on my phone as deep as setting that, I just don't want the home button to take me to the home screen when on the lockscreen. GO locker did this beautifully for me, and didn't have the second issue below.
Second, when it does work for like 10 seconds, I get an annoying flicker of it trying to paint the homescreen then going back to the lockscreen.
Anyone else experiencing any of these issues or know how to fix them? I have emailed the created of WL a couple of times stating the problems I was having within the app and got nothing back, so its time to ask the XDA Community.
Thanks
I experienced the same problems as you. It was an amazing app when it was on my Nexus one, still is used. But on the Htc One its pretty lackluster. I know I have nothing to contribute but I just uninstalled it...

Your HTC One is running ARHD as well (well from your signature it says it is) ... I am on 11.5.
Can someone on a different ROM check to see if they are having these issues as well? I know a lot of people are using the app so someone on a different ROM shouldnt be hard to find

Hey, I'm on fully converted GE. I use nova/widgetlocker religiously. Unfortunately, I have the same problems when I try to use homehelper. Its like an inefficient workaround, shows the "redraw" of home but tries to maintain WL. This isn't a working solution. I've disabled it and for the time being, I've just tried to ignore the home button while lock screen. Its always just power button or swipe (if i'm using custom kernel) then unlock using lockscreen. I've looked for other lockscreen alternatives but in terms of features, nothing compares to WL. I hope the devs bring out an update in the near future to address these issues.

I was able to get rid of the flicker by turning on "HomeHelper ondemand via root" in Advanced > Root Helper (in addition to enabling HopeHelper). I'm currently on TrickDroid 8.00 and WidgetLocker 2.4beta8.

Turned on HomeHelper ondemand via root .... it stopped the home button bypass of the lockscreen but I still have the flicker
Crazy observation ....
I cleared all my settings, defaults, etc this morning before I posted about the homehelper with root .... and still had the flicker
Just playing around with my phone now I changed my lockscreen to have an alternate background from my home screen .... no more flicker on my device ...
Do you guys have alternate backgrounds? If not, can you try switch to one and see if you still get the flicker?

TrickDroid, as posted above, seems to not have any issues either. Is there anyone else on TrickDroid or ViperRom that has had issues?
I can't see why it would be limited to ARHD and GE Roms on the One, but since I don't know much about how these are put together, I guess anything is possible.
Also to note, after my change yesterday, I haven't had an issue since.

do you guys know any way to use the default lockscreen when you get a call?
the only two possibilities that I found is to either have no lockscreen or you don't see who's calling you (because you need to unlock widget locker first) - both not ideal if you ask me

Well I dunno about you. But I am not having any issue for when someone calls me. but then again I didn't put any sort of security on my phone.
I just have Widget Locker Lockscreen enabled. someone calls me goes straight to answer/decline for me
Using default lockscreen, there is this cool feature (widget?) that shows controls and info of music that is currently playing, no matter what is the player you are using (I use both Spotify and Poweramp). Is there similar widget available that could be used with Widget Locker? I have found some that has support for Poweramp, but for spotify none. I'd rather not add both player's own widget to Widget Locker, it would be just spending space (and Spotify's widget is quite ugly).

me too, but that's the problem: you don't have to swipe up to answer or decline the call, the phone is unlocked so you only have to tap answer or decline... this may cause you to accept/decline calls by accident
I would like to have the default incoming call screen where you have to swipe up to accept the call together with widget locker, but I didn't find a way yet to achieve that

So I have 4.3, and ever since, when the phone starts into Android, there is always a lock screen where you have to swipe the lock in the center away to get to the home screen. I want to disable this so that it simply boots into the home screen. I'm fairly certain to do this I'll need to edit my build, I'm just wondering exactly what I need to edit to accomplish this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I don't know if this helps, but i accidentaly found this "glitch" that lets my phone without the lockscreen and enter the phone just by pressing the power button
I installed Windows 8 Lock Screen app from Play Store, I checked it to be the default locker, but after that, after I played around with it, I decide not to keep it active and I unchecked the "Default Locker option". After this, apparently, I have no lock screen whatsoever... Just press the power button and the phone is unlocked

Actually, this issue only came up once I installed the 401 5.5 4.3. My native is developer 1540 4.3, which does not have this. Good to know it's most likely a sense 5.5 addition, as I can request the next toolbox include an option to disable this.
Edit: For those interested, I seem to have found a happy accident that exploits the lockscreen coming up every time the phone goes dark. By installing the Windows 8 Lockscreen app from the play store, setting it as the default lockscreen, utilizing it a few times, then disabling it, when I restarted the phone, the only time the lockscreen came up was during the initial startup. Nothing after that. The power button got me directly to the homescreen. I also have no lock installed with locking disabled. Obviously, all it would take is a simple xposed module or app to isolate this and get it to the masses, but for now, this seems to work for me. I hope it works for you as well.

Hello,
I'm on 5.0.2 Sony stock FW, rooted. I'd like to be able to add custom widgets to my lock screen (Power Toggles) and to be able to enter my pattern without having to swipe up first. (The dot grid only becomes visible after swiping up from the bottom of the lock screen.)
So basically, I'd like the lock screen to immediatly show a widget and the grid. Notifications are not necessary.
It used to be simple to customize lock the screen... Does anyone know how to get this done?
Thanks!

Well, it looks like you're right. I have even tried several apps. (CM Lock, SnapLock, AcDisplay, Keypad Lock) While some offer better customizability, none show the dot grid without swiping.
I'm starting to miss KitKat already. Who could have possibly thought of this as a good idea?

Lollipop does not support lock screen widgets like KitKat did. I use Power Toggles too and now use the notification feature to show toggles on the lock screen. The reason you have to swipe up is to get past the notifications so you can unlock the device.

Scott, I hadn't considered using the notification feature of Power Toggles. That solves one problem. Thanks!
Also I must admit, coming from an Xperia V, the facial recognition works pretty fast in lock screen. (Found under security > smart lock) That means one swipe usually does the trick towards unlocking.
Sony's not off the hook as far as I'm concerned, though. Reducing customization options is never a good thing.
Besides, I don't like some other decisions they've made. Next up: finding a way to get the kill all apps button back

Glad the notification approach works for you.
Regarding customizations, if you are referring to the lack of lock screen widgets, that is not a Sony customization. It is a change to Lollipop. My Nexus devices to not have lock screen notifications on Lollipop either.

I wonder why Google decided to disable widgets on the lock screen. Surely they must know Android users love customization Security perhaps.

I found a way around this, for anyone who's interested. This thread links to stock firmware that has a "close all" button. As far as I understand, it is currently the latest version and localization doesn't matter. But I'm no expert, so please head over to that thread for any information and questions.
