[Q] [STOCK O2X ROM] Can someone help me out? :'(

Ok guys here's the issue. I purchased an O2x recently after months of saving up. After using it for two months on stock ROM, I changed over to the CM7.1 stable. But I'm not all that happy because I use my camera a lot n I miss the clarity n awesomeness of the stock camera. The CM7 camera is crappy :/
I lost the backup of the stock ROM i had made :'(
So i need a stock ROM n stock kernel/baseband. I'm a noob, totally. Can anyone please help me understand how to install the stock kernel or baseband or whatever it is? I downloaded the stock ROM from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1035041
and I downloaded the baseband from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1008070
What is baseband? And how do I install the 635mb stock rom?
If anyone can help me out patiently, I shall worship thee forever.
I have basic idea about clockworkmod n installing zip packages etc

answer for your question-
Baseband is the Radio or Modem version depending upon the Phone Model, Carrier and Android Software Stack version. The radio firmware controls basic low-level functions like network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and GPS. Upgrading Radio firmware will fix connectivity issues, increase range or performance, decrease battery usage, etc. Incorrec tRadio frimeware can disable some functions in your phone such as MMS, 3G Data, VM Notifications, etc. Network operators/carriers select the correct version of the Radio firmware that is suitable for the phone, network and bandwidth.
Hope it helps for your understanding.

Hey, everyone! This is my first post on XDA, though I'm a long time reader. These boards have been very helpful to me but there are still some questions that I haven't been able to find the answer for, with one of them being the topic of this thread.
So, I also own i9305N version of Samsung Galaxy S3 and since there are no custom ROMs made specifically for my version of the phone, I was wondering if flashing a ROM made for i9305 (say, PAC-ROM or Carbon ROM) would result in my phone malfunctioning or becoming completely unusable.
Thank you in advance for your help.

when it will get you will get to know, there is no pint of creating a dedicated thread for asking these sort of questions and top of that you have created two threads, there are qna section to ask this...
i suggest you to take threads more seriously, and of updates discussions have been earlier too.
no one can comment on update release date unless any official word comes from samsung or any leak from unofficial one......there are multiple roms custom roms available , flash them if you camt wait for official one....
enjoy have a great time

Roms for GT-i9305T?

Hi guys,
I'm looking into flashing Cyanogenmod onto my S3 4G, but I'm concerned because my model number is GT-i9305T and there is little to no mention of it having any compatible roms. Are roms designed for the GT-i9305 compatible with the GT-i9305T?
And also, should I follow instructions in the threads on xdadevelopers or follow instructions on the Cyanogenmod wiki?
Thanks

Hi,
All i9305 roms are compatible with the i9305 T or N models, should be no problem
i guess it would be the best to follow instr. in the threads given by the rom devs. you can always ask anything you want in the thread to be sure

Hey, thanks for your reply. But what does the T or N mean? Does this have something to do with the radio antennae/bands/frequencies (sorry for the bad terminology) of the phone? Then will the i9305 rom still be compatiable with the i9305T?
Thanks

Yeah - hardware is identical other than being compatible for different frequencies (T is primarily Australia and Telecom NZ, N I'm not sure but its another region)

Yes, the T or the N versions use different frequencies and other than that its the same hardware just like Soryuu said. the N is for the Nordic countries. Dont worry about compatibility, you can flash any i9305 rom you want mate
Note: If you dont care about some bugs here and there, go for AOSP roms like Cyanogenmod, but if you want a rom with fully working features with almost no bugs go for other 4.3 sammy custom roms, just an advice to keep in mind
I have a question...This phone is better than s4 base mode? thanks =D

I'm assuming you're asking about the SGS4 base model, so in that respect, spec-wise, the S4 base model would be better than the S3 LTE as it also has LTE as standard across all the S4 models, and has the same amount of ram (2GB), a more updated faster processor, a better screen, bigger battery and better battery life as many reviews have stated, and has a higher resolution camera.
So no this phone isn't better than the S4, spec-wise.
