Hello,
I was restoring a backup from TWRP and, as usually in this recovery, the screen turned off itself to power save. After a couple of minutes I have tried to switch it on with the power button, but nothing happened... Tried again, and nothing. Screen still blank.
So, I decided to soft reset with Volume Up + Power. The phone vibrated, but the screen was still blank.
Finally, as my last idea, I decided to switch the phone off (VolUp+Power 10 secs, 3 vibrations). Then, I have tried to switch it on again, but the same problem...
It has the Hybrid v 19.2 with NuriJ Kernel. And it is the very first time I realize something like this and I'm quite upset because I'm living abroad now and I strongly need my telephone.
Any idea?
Thank you VERY much.
For further details.
I have tried to charge the battery but after connecting the cable it does nothing. Same issue when trying to connect to the computer.
It seems to be completely dead.:crying:
Solved flashing the Kernel via fastboot. Also works flashing the ftf via flashtools. :good:

Hello All
I did search the forum and still not answer for the stranger reboot loop.
I got a phone call, and answered it. The reception was crappy and hear no voice. I then looked at the phone to see if call had dropped and it was frozed on the incoming call screen. I then pulled the battery and pressed the power button to turn on the phone and It would not power on. After multiple battery pulls and many many power button presses, still nothing. It was like it was out of battery. It was stitting on the home charger before i left the house. Prior to this the phone worked fine. Over the past week or two I had to do a battery pull may be 3 times.
I got to my car and plugged it into the charger and the orange charge led came on, on the front of the device. I then pressed the power button and it vibrate once as normal and then went to the multi-colored nexus "X." he screen went black and then vibrated once again and and was back at the mulit-colored "X." Then the loop starts.
In between the restarts I try to get it to boot into the bootloader by using the "vol down and power" and the "trackball and power button" and the white screen for the boot loader flashed for a milisecond the goes to black. As long as I hold the "vol down" button the while bootloeader or recovery screen flashes every 4-5 sec for a milisecond. As soon as I let go of one of those button, it automatically goes to the full reboot loop.
THis all happens when it is plugged into a power source. As soon as i unplug it, it goes back to the power button not responding. Again it acts as if it has no battery power. But it is in the 90%.
So i am unable to do any other step as in reflashing, and or doing a recovery.
ANY IDEAS any one.
I was running Cyanogen RC3. the latest rom with amon RA 1 7 1, korean radio 5.0.8
It was running perfectly up till today. when it went into its loop.
ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME
THanks in advance
DD
Plug it in to the USB, adb reboot recovery, reflash rom. Or even wipe and reflash if needed.
Sounds like it could be hardware the way you have to hold the keys down and you said it wasn't responding to the power button press.
ok thanks, ill give it a try.
here is my only issue. I am not using my original computer Mac. I just sent it out to apple for repair. So i am using my companies computer. I need to set up the AndroidSDK to be able to talk to the nexus. Since the phone will not turn on i can not load the drivers. and ive tried every way and it has not installed and i cant check because it wont stay on. it just goes to the loop. and it wont turn on if its not plugged to a power source.
Any ideas or suggestion.
SOrry I am an noob, so could you please be specific in your instructions.
I as of right now have insalled the Android SDK and i am unable to see the serial number (working on an old dell, running XP sp3) because it wont turn on.
It cant manually install the drivers because I cant turn the phone on to specify the drivers.
and
I using USBDeview, the phone also has to be on to erase all HTC previously installed drivers. i think. but there were none in the usb log...i think becuase they didnt install...agains because it would not power on...:-(
any ideas...please
DD
Also
Sorry excuse me if its a sort of a duhhh question...
even if i am able to load the device bridge, if the phone will not boot can i still flash another rom, or do a recovery. The phone is not getting past the Multi-colored "X" ???
DD
It should still read the commands when it's trying to boot. You don't need to turn the phone on at all to be able to install the ADB drivers, they are independent of each other.
As strange as it started, is a strange as it went.
This morning open the phone to pull the sd and the sim to put it in a throw down phone. I replaced the battery and cover and just hit the power button. The phone does a full boot and it appears to be working properly. the sd card and sim are fine. I the odd thing is i did this multiple times yesterday and last night. I pulled both sim and sd, replaced the battery and tried to boot with the same issues as named above with nothing different.
I left the phone on charge last night and it was charging for close to 8 hours and it was still showing the orange charging light.
So after it booted this morning, and i checked everything. It showed the same amount of charge as yesterday, right before it froze, which was 75%. So that is another strange occurance.
I plan on reflashing the rom and seeing how things go.
I thank you for your assistance and time.
appericate you helping out a clueless noob.

As a preface I'm not rooted and can't unlock bootloader. Completely stock phone.
I decided to try and flash the new JB update via flashtool, but something went wrong: the phone didn't stay in flashmode: I could get into flashmode but a couple of seconds later the LED turned itself off and flashtool froze. I managed to get the phone working after that, I backed up all my stuff to my memory card just in case and tried again. The flash process got a little further but again, it froze, with an error message on the computer saying the usual "flashtool has stopped working". So I tried to turn the phone on, no response. It just vibrates once and the LED flashed green. I then turned to PC Companion in the hope that I could repair back to stock. Similar problem with the flashmode, it just stops after a few seconds. I tried rebooting it with vol up and power button, as well as hard power off. It vibrated 3 times, as it should. But it still doesn't turn on. I've now attached it to the charger but the LED just alternates between green and off every 15 seconds ish. Can anybody advise please?
EDIT: Resolved the problem by simply repeatedly trying to flash stock, eventually realised that connecting the phone without even pressing the vol down resulted in it entering flashmode... odd, but my phone lives once more!
I have tried to boot into bootloader couple times before on stock settings, with nothing flash or modified.
Whenever I tried to restart, it stuck on the black screen with no LED when plugged in, and it won't turn on or boot for about 10-15 min.
I was trying to solve this issue by wiping the entire phone but still happening. Now that I have tried TWRP with ARHD 12.1, the problem still there.
I have also tried fastboot erase cache, doesn't fix this issue either.
Tried to hold Volumn down / Power button for a long time, it still doesn't do anything until 10-15 mins after.
I assume that the device is still in process and somehow is getting stuck somewhere that it doesn't listen to the input anymore until there is signal shutting the whole thing down.
Since I couldn't pull out battery on HTC One, there is no way I can verified if that is the case.
Anyone else facing the same issue?
I am kind of sick and tired of sending back and forth for RMA, which I already did for dead pixels before.

Thanks for the help
I am under sunlight, thought that could have help, but it didn't....
I guess I will try flashlight next time..
but the problem still not solved, I do not want to get under the light every time when I am trying to make a restart on HTC One..
I found a pattern of this issue, it's seems to related to the USB connecting to a computer.
Somehow it won't let my phone shutdown properly and stuck with no screen showing.
Power button + volume won't work for about 10-15 min.
But it can boot back up after that 10-15 min normally. This is a strange issue.
It happened ever since I tried to access bootloader, but I have not change anything.
Hello, I'm having trouble with my Xperia T.
It's an unlocked bootloader with the latest DoomKernel on, CWM is installed and the FW is .145
It worked fine 'till today morning. Last night i put it to charge with a nokia charger that i've been using before and this morning it was non responsive and the green light is permanently on. I tried hard reseting it for a number of times, still non responsive.
I'm running out of options. Any ideas?
Can you get into fastboot mode?:
Unplug und plug in the USB-cable. Hold Vol+ and the ON-button at the same time for a couple seconds until you feel a single vibration. Let go of the ON-button but keep the Vol+ pressed. You should be in fastboot mode again indicated by the blue LED.
If that works, you can reflash the original kernel.elf or boot.img with fastboot in order to get the phone working again.
I am familiar with the fastboot mode and also to the flash mode.
The phone is unresponsive to any key stroke combinations. I've done the Off+ Volume Up or Volume Down or even with all three at the same time for more than 20 seconds and it does nothing.
The phone should be on since last night i charged it whilst beeing on.
I'm starting to think to phisically remove battery...
Did you try everything from the recovery thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849170
You said you did a hard reset. Are you sure (three vibrations)? If that is the case, maybe this is your problem (from the thread above):
ATTENTION:
If your phone is not working but you see a led or have bootloops DO NOT USE HARD-RESET. This can make your phone lock/freeze up until the battery dies. It took 51 hours for mine to die.
However if you get stuck on a boot screen or get bootloops a SOFT-RESET may work to reboot.

I had to do a hard reset too once or twice. But mine never locked up. I don't know which conditions lead to this behavior.
So try to wait till the battery is completely dead. Then charge it for a while. Turn it on, and it will get stuck at the faulty kernel again. But this time only do a soft reset (single vibration), combined with the fastboot key scenario (like I described above).
If nothing works, maybe the rubberband trick might be a solution (also in the thread). But I have never tried that (never needed to).
I tried to do the hard reset but it does nothing. So after 24hrs the green led is still on and nothing happens no mather what key stroke i try
Update: I disassembled the phone and did the hard reset manually and all is well for now.
Thanks for the replies

Alright. Glad you got it working by removing the battery. I guess it's true then that it takes forever (50+ hours) for the battery to go empty on a stuck hard reset.
No, actually mine was 80% after 30 hours so i guess it will take more!

Hey guys,
Havent been here in a long time... Well let me start from the beggining, i hope it wont be too long. I unlocked and rooted a phone a while ago (i think its irellevant), and had been using it since the without messing with anything but usual root stuff(lucky patcher, busybox, auto clicker and such). Today, i dropped it and after that it shut off, coudnt turn it on... I think it had a live vertically once that i was trying to boot it today, but it was sunlight so i am not sure.... When i try to turn it on it vibrates once. When i connect it to the charger it doesn't charge or light up the led. The screen is black all the time so no signs there. When i hold vol up+power it vibrates once and when i hold it for more time it vibrates three times, as it should but nothing comes up. But when i connect the charger, and hold vol up + power it vibrates and lights up red led. Then it stays on even when i disconnect the phone from charger.
I connected the phone to Sony Emma, and flashed KitKat build 10.5.1.A.0.292 but once again after it flashed nothing happened.
And i have also opened the phone back and checked the connections to the board, and they all seem to be fine ...
Should i bury it or is there something else i can do?
Anyone has any ideas ? i somehow managed to get to fastboot and flash mode and tried to flash recovery, custom rom, stock rom (with flashtool)... Nothing seems to work ...
