I have a TN Ty II that was locked to the Orange UK network. I succesfully unlocked it and it has been working fine on T-Mobile(Virgin) PAYG for about 4 months. Now it will not receive or make calls, but signal on T-Mobile is fine, connects to the netork, no problem. If I insert an Orange PAYG Sim the phone works fine (In/Out). Virgin have said that maybe my number is "Black Listed" and that they would send me a new SimCard with the same number!! Seems strange if my number is BlackListed. My question is When a network provider provides a customer with a phone do they log the phones IMS number? Could they then stop that phone working on other networks, or request that other networks block the phone with that IMS?
Any help appreciated.

Does somone know how to solve this issue?
When I trigger an email update on the phone I continually get a warning asking me if I am okay with using data while roaming?!?!?!
Does the phone automatically think I am roaming because it is Australian? Is there a Windows Mobile Setting somewhere where I can define that my home market is Canada?
Some help here would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks in Advance...
you might try going into the account setup on the automatic send/receive page under advanced settings there is an option to use automatic send/receive schedule when roaming
Thanks for this response...I was hoping for a setting that would change the phone to make Canada as my home market...I am also getting SMS messages showing time 3hrs behind me (i.e. USA West Coast Time...)
Thanks Again, help anyone?!?!?!
Settings -> Regional Settings
Try changing that to your own country?
I wouldn't know otherwise.
Not particularly familiar with Telstra issuses, my phone was from UK running a standard rom with no carrier customisations/carrier lock and running on Optus HSDPA.
Never have these problems - I know i still roam onto the Telstra network eg is train tunnels etc.
Try using the in the Settings/Control Panel -> Connenctions-> Connection Setup. Country = Au, Operator = Telstra.
But I'm not sure if you have that icon since you are carrier locked (i'm guessing) to tel$cum.
If no one else is replying because its a region/carrier/rom specific issue try asking the question @ http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/
Hi everyone,
I'm having some trouble using a S4 Active from AT&T with a french provider.
I live in france, and this device was bought over the Internet. At the time of the purchase, nothing told me that this was a foreign phone.
Now I have this phone, which works perfectly with newer 4G networks, wifi and text messages. But, when I'm in an area with 3G only, then the phone connects in Edge. Furthermore, MMS messages, when sending photos, won't work whatever network I'm connect to. Strangely, it's ok if the message contains only smileys.
The device is running under the official AT&T Android 4.3 (I537UCUBML2). It doesn't want to upgrade to the latest 4.4 version (though I don't really think this might solve my main problem).
Does anyone have any clue ? A solution ?
Thank you.
My friend is bringing me an Sprint LG G4 from the states. Was trying to find information but was not sure if the phone is unlocked for International use? Specifically Kuwait and India. I know we cannot edit APN's at the moment but can we use call and texting?
If it not unlocked, then is http://www.unlockallcellular.com/united-states-sprint-lg-g4-unlock-code-np-202435.htmlthe way to go?
Thank you
you can edit APN via ##3282#, you will need your MSL -search this forum you will find how to get it. But you will not be able to unlock Sprint variant for international GSM use. Only Sprint can do over the air and the phone has to be active on Sprint account for this.

Any chance unlock it now? Maybe flash or edit build.prop I don't know.
If you guys don't mind flashing/restoring your phone using the TOT method. You can try it out. I tried it out and it was SIM unlock out of the box. To edit the APN, I used Shortcut Master (Lite).
I'm from the Philippines by the way. The LTE bands of this phone doesn't support my carrier's LTE bands so no LTE for me.

--Individual ZV5 partitions to flash manually can be downloaded *HERE*
Stock system.img is not included in that list due to redundancy. The stock rooted ZV5 system.img can be found in the Low Effort Root thread.

I'm not sure, is this on stock firmware? Can you clarify, so you can make calls, send/receive message(SMS), but not receive any calls while in the Philippines?

Thanks for your reply.
I am not sure if it's on stock, paid one cellphone shop here in california to have it gsm unlock. My sister who is currently using it in the philippines said that she just noticed that she cant receive any calls with it. In fact they tried calling it with another phone and it doesn't ring and even not give any notification for a missed call. The calling phone hears that its supposed to be ringing and after sometime it would say cannot be reached.
It can receive and send sms messages.
Again, thanks...

I'm not sure if Smart Network can access LTE but can you check? If LTE is available, can you make sure that the network selection is not set to LTE only, since sometimes it can affect making/receiving phone calls.

It has LTE/CDMA setting but if chosen wont get a signal. They tried the other two setting (Global and GSM/UMTS) but gives same result.

Try installing Shortcut Master (Lite) and try RAT_Selection(I'm not sure if it requires root though), then force WCDMA only if it will make a difference.
Just bought a LS991 that was supposed to be unlocked. Can it work on T-Mobile?
Hey everybody...
I bought a sim unlocked G4 from ebay. The seller claimed that it was unlocked for use with all gsm carriers, including t-mobile. After receiving the phone, I discovered that the phone was LS991 (Sprint version) and not the international version. If the phone is indeed unlocked as the seller stated, can I just insert a T-Mobile sim and start using right away? Or, will there be limits on the ability to make calls or connect to HSPA or LTE data?
Will the "APN" need updating to work with smoothly with T-Mobile? If anyone has prior experience in using LS991 on T-Mobile, please let me know!
Hi all,
I just received my new watch, I love it so far and the battery life is great.
I got a new sim for the watch (prepaid sim) and I can call and pair my watch via data.
I do have a problem when trying to enable call forwarding option from the watch itself.
I get on the phone (LG V10) the following error -
"Call forwarding, Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
When I enable call forwarding directly from my phone to my watch it is working fine but I want to have the option to do so from my watch in case I forget the phone and
can't reach the phone to enable call forwarding directly.
Thanks in advance for you help,
____

What version of the watch are you using? The AT&T version (W200A)? I wonder if it is related to your service/network provider on your phone. Which provider are you using? Which prepaid SIM for the watch? I'm using the AT&T version of the watch(with a Truphone SIM) and Cricket (which uses AT&T network) on my phone without issues. I wonder if the call forwarding codes sent to a phone on the AT&T network would cause problems for Sprint or Verizon, if that is your provider.
LG also has call forwarding app that may help, but I haven't tried it. Link is below.

Hi,
I got the W200 unlocked version, its the European version since I don't live in the state.
I was thinking about the option that the watch prepaid sim not supporting Call forwarding but I'm not doing call forwarding from the watch to the phone, its vise versa.
The phone sim is not from the same cellular provider as the watch sim.
The only thing I can think of is what you mentioned that the watch is sending a call forwarding code that the phone doesn't understand.
I'm not an expert in the matter but it could be that if the watch sim does not support call forwarding it will not send the proper code to the phone as well.
P.S.
I love the app you sent on the link for Call forwarding, its really nice.

I'm guessing you get the same error with the LG app? If it's a MMI code issue you may be able to use an automated app that works with Android Wear to initiate the call forwarding. Check out the thread below....
