TL;DR : Phone has no haptic feedback or any options for haptic feedback anywhere. I remember it used to have them, don't know what to do about it
I've had my S3 mini for little under a month, and I remember having haptic feedback while typing, unlocking and while pressing stuff, as well as a set of haptic feedback options.
It sort of slipped my mind being used to haptic feedback for a long time, but lately typing hasn't felt right at all on my phone, and it took a friend to notice that my phone has no haptic feedback in most cases. There is no option for it anywhere, either (no option in the default samsung keyboard, no option under Sound settings or Power Saving either). The phone vibrates just fine during calls and has all the vibration options, and there's haptic feedback for a long-press of the middle button that summons the recent app list, but that's pretty much it.
I also disabled power saving mode.
Early on, when I got the phone, I installed both Ultra Keyboard (used it on my old droid and loved it), which for some reason does NOT work at all (app has an unexpected error when I open up the settings, and if I enable it as default keyboard it simply doesn't appear on my phone when it should, as if I don't have a keyboard at all) and SwiftKey 3, which I didn't really like, so I just reverted to the default samsung deal. I have no idea if this is relevant.
Google searches have been very unhelpful.
Am I nuts and does the phone actually have no haptic feedback options? Or is something wrong?
Thanks in advance!
With your keyboard app installed use this program called SELECT INPUT METHOD PRO from Google Play. You can then select your keyboard input. There's a free version to try out first, if you like.

How will that help me? I've lost all haptic functionality on my phone, not just from the keyboard. That and I'm not using any other keyboard than the default one.
As far as I can tell this only provides a shortcut to the input selection option.
I don't see how this is even remotely relevant
Haptic must be there, if u install a battery saver app there's always the option to turn it on/off.

I've installed no battery saver app. I simply do not have options for haptic feedback anywhere anymore.
Just looked on Elixir app and it says Haptic Feedback enabled. Try battery booster put widget on screen and enable haptic in green.

i too used to have the s3 and since i moved on to the s3 mini, i have been missing haptic feedback specially on the menu and back soft keys.
i wish there was an option or an app to restore that function again.
I couldnt find it full stop, not sure if it was there to start with in the stock keyboard, I ended up grabbing "Keyboard from Android 2.3" off of play and using that as that does have Haptic feedback enabled, still not found an option for it for Hard Keys though....
install Elixir 2, open it, select the first icon 'information', scroll down, simply press on 'Audio' and the third option will be 'turn haptic feedback off'
It will disable vibration as you (and I) wanted...although when modifying the home screen/adding or removing widgets it will keep the vibration...
hope this helps
Yep can confirm it works.

So, is there any way to enable haptic feedback?
I already tried Elixir 2 but it does not work.
Using 4.1.1 by the way.
notice that to....after i root it the haptic feedback setting gone...if flash original stock firmware everything seems normal...not a big deal for me actually...
How did u enable haptic feedback in Elixir?. What did u do exactly.

It is not about haptic feedback on the keyboard but on the back/menu softkeys.

I have just updated to 4.2.2 in my HTC One. I found the Quick Settings is very useful when I am going to toggle settings like WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE, Air Plane mode etc.
But it is very stupid to use 2-fingers pulling down the Quick Toggles directly, especially I am using my phone with one hand only. Pull the the Notification Bar and then press the button upper right to launch the Quick Settings is also slow and inconvenience.
I know Nova Launcher has got a shortcut to pop up the Quick Settings instantly, but I really want to have the original Sense Launcher. Is that any app or widget can launch the Quick Toggles page as a shortcut???
P.S. My phone has not yet rooted... I hope for a non-rooted solution.
I'm actually curious about this as well. I don't have 4.2.2 yet, but from what I've seen, I don't think that I'll like having to either use 2 fingers or pull down the menu and select the secondary menu. I'm currently using the Quick Toggles app from Google Play, and it does the job, but it would be great to just use the stock feature.

Nothing knows how could I do these?
I figured out the method myself, here's the tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540996

What exposed Modules are you using and what works?
I am using Disable Sprint System UI flag 3.0
Hides the GPS icon also shows real icons for 1x/EVDO and LTE
Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
Notification mod- So I can pull down on the right of the notifications to go straight to toggles.
Sense 6 toolbox- center clock and maybe a couple other things.
Xvolume30-45 step volume on media

Pandora patcher. Not officially supported by xposed due to legal issues. Have to Google to find it. Also YouTube ad away. Viper rom takes care of my need for gravity and sense 6 toolbox. Venom settings had all that and more built in.

I use some snapchat stuff & pandora patcher as well. I have Pandora premium so I just use it for unlimited skips. Even allows unlimited through Pandora tether to my deck via bluetooth. Limiting skips on a paid subscription is just stupid. I will have to check out sense 6 toolbox
Thanks guys. Keep them rolling in.

Nfc icon remover, xprivacy, SwypeTweaks, SMS Xposed, minminguard, crappalinks

In addition to the previously mentioned crappalinks, and Disable Sprint SystemUI Flag, I also have Xposed Torch (turn on flashlight by holding the volume keys when the screen's off) and MoDaCo Toolkit (disable Google Wallet root/region checks, Disable /mnt/asec, enable "Disable" button for all apps, and advanced power menu).
Currently I'm using:
XPrivacy
DoubleTapToSleep (I love this, puts the screen to sleep by double tapping the notification bar.)
Greenify
Ultimate Dynamic Navbar
YouTube AdAway

I had a couple others like Disable Sprint SystemUI Flag and Advanced Power Menu until I flashed the Bad Boyz ROM which made those unnecessary.
I'm on at&t xt1058 its rooted but no write protection off on 4.4.2. I'm missing my camera icon on the bottom right hand corner and every time I have gravity box on its not showing. I searched, turned off unlock ring targets but still no camera icon and its set for slide to unlock. Any one else have this issue? And is there a fix?

The only module you have installed is gravity box? Try to disable the others.
xt1058 4.4.2 here, gravity box and others modules enabled and no problems with the lock screen camera icon.
Hi, I'm still on android 9 ui1 and I can't find any info on whether fullscreen immersive mode works on 10 ui 2. Could someone check for me.
I use fullscreen mode exclusively, and if needed turn it on/off with the Bixby button using bxactions.
This goes hand in hand with using gestures, so I have the whole screen available with no bars at the top or bottom.
When I tested the beta, it was very buggy, and didn't work correctly, so gave up, wiped the phone and reinstalled 9 ui 1.
Thanks
I would gladly test if I could find this full screen immersive mode. I have an U1 variant on AT&T. The update just happened last night even tho i had postponed it. So if you dont want it be careful, i got a 2 day warning and blam.

Thanks for looking, I'm not sure if there is a specific toggle as standard, but there is a fullscreen tab under display settings.
I use bxactions to toggle fullscreen with the Bixby button for easy use.
Thanks
I can hide the nav buttons and it works, but have yet to find a notification bar hide. The menus have changed some. Also still looking for the screenshot button I used to have.

Screen shot is vol down and power together on my note 9.
On your note 9 swipe down the notification bar and search for smart capture

I thought you meant hide, not change to gestures which still shows on the screen.

Shows nothing at bottom of screen. It does change the motion/gesture that you swipe.
