Am i the only one experiencing this bug where sometimes when viewing pictures in album, whenever i pinch to zoom using two fingers, the screen turns black and then move me to the next picture. I can zoom using double tap and then pinch to zoom from there. But when first zoom using pinch instead of double tap, the black screen appears and switch to next pic. Please tell me i dont have a faulty software that requires me to repair using sus..

Me too. Same for latest album in z ultra. I think there is a bug in the latest album.

problem fixed!
Guys i found out what the problem was. It was the latest version of the album app itself that has this bug.
Do this to solve it. Go to settings>apps>album theb click uninstall updates. This will revert it to the factory version. Problem fixed!!
To those who had an update on the album app, do not update!!

When I'm recording some fairly high speed 1080 video on my projector screen (say if I record a replay from my PS3 game F1 2012) the Sony Z camera Zoom seems to focus, refocus, focus, refocus all the bl00dy time. As a result the video ends up either a) blurry, or b) is filled with stutter/juddering crap...
Is there any way to fix this?????????????
I had it on 434 firmware, and still exists on the 253..

I wonder why the Sony Z needs the room well lit? My Projector is ultra bright and I'm close to the screen.
I changed the focus mode from face detect to fixed point and still does it..
None of my previous phones (HTC One X, iPhone 4S, SGS3, or Razr HD have done this.. Seems very strange IMO.
I'll post up a video on youtube tonight to demonstrate what is happening

Hey I have tested the port app from the Google edition HTC One (GS4) and it works like a charm on my Xperia Z with Android 4.2.2.
All functions including Photosphere work when accessed from the Gallery app. The Camera shortcut does crash sometimes. All you have to do is just download the APK and install it on your phone. It will not replace your stock camera app so you can just install it and use it as an alternative.

Sorry if it is s stupid question but does this app give you any better pics? Specially when there is low light or night time...I get pathetic images on stock app during night time...red dots all over..

i got back stockcamera from tjis mod with v5 with one shoot volume down.

Top man. Works nicely. Confusing as hell to use though.
I played a little with photosphere app. Great app. But the picture quality is not very good when zooming.
I compare 2 photoshere from the same point (one with my Xperia Z, one with S4 not google edition).
The one from S4 is much more sharp than the one from Xperia Z. What a pity...
Alternative Camera App
Reckon I will give this one a shot in a little bit. Was trying to get the Honami Camera app to work last night after de-odexing new Stock ROM, but this might keep me content until Honami is updated for new Firmware. Nice One !:laugh:
Hi all, the thing is that i' m looking for a camera app that would let me manually adjust the focus because auto focus, touch focus wont work, because sometimes i catch the image perfectly but auto focus keeps refocusing, its not hardware related since i get the perfect picture but the next moment autofocus re adjusts it. Please devs think of this.

Thanks for replies, but I'm looking for true focus control, just like on new Lumia 1020. I have purchased FV-5 Camera but it doesn't provide manual focus control.
Same like my problem...
When I start the stock camera or any other camera app, it seems that the orientation is completely wrong and covers only half the screen. I am running the latest 257 version, completely stock.

Issue fixed. It appears one of the Xposed framework was messing with the camera.

I've just tried and still the same :/ I'm on LB and have Xposed with 20mp auto mode if it can help.
I have the same issue also after upgrading to 136 video audio become silence for few seconds and it comes back again

I don't remember well as I don't get back yet mine Z1, can you use different format for recording videos?
Weird fact, i've Just try with the 3 modes (auto, manual 720p &1080p) no more audio recording lag... Maybe a random issue because this happen a few times. But at this moment it work I don't know why. I'll come back if this persist or if someone have the same issue =)

I don't know how baseband can improve the quality recording, are you sure about that? I know the baseband is the Radio Package for Z1 like Bluetooth, Network and WiFi.
Give it a try if there was no problem in older version then may be its the same issue with the baseband
