Hello,
I need to do something for the autonomy of the 4X HD, so change battery.
But they are too many batteries.
Can you help me to find the most effective ?
I have search on this forum and find it :
- 2680mah, no big case, looks good
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009C49I0I?vs=1
- 4800mah, great autonomy but so ugly !
( it : http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0091...f=mp_s_a_1_2&qid=1391823307&sr=8-2&precache=1 )
(And probably another batteries...)

Keep your hands of thte first battery, cause it's trash.
I've bougt one of it for my old Optimus 2x.
Was not a goot experience with it.
After 3-4 moth the battery keept the half time.
About your second link I can't say anything.
This one is like the original, very good. http://www.amazon.de/PolarCell-Opti...1392348350&sr=8-1&keywords=lg+4x+hd+polarcell

There are many propositions between original at 2150mAh and and 2800mAh without cover change on the web.
Did anybody has ever changed battery on his O4X ?

Yes, he's sure. With the current technologies it is impossible to fit more mAh's into the same size without compromising the quality of materials used. This may mean the first few charges a 'bigger' battery may be more effective, but it will decay so fast, that it definitely won't be worth your money. If you want to extend your battery life, you will either need an extended battery double the size or you'll just need to carry a spare one with you.

Hi
I've got this one for quite some time now (about a month) and I've got to admit, it defiantly increase the battery life compared to the stock battery that we're given. With this one, I've got about 2 hours more than the last one and I'm pretty happy with it, since I have both this one and the old one as a spare now.

For those who owned this phone, how's battery life so far for you?
very good, and getting better for each charge
with a normal varied use of the phone I can get almost 2 full days use - compared to the same use lasting only 1 day on my HTC Desire, Samsung SGS and my Iphone 4
That's weird. There are reviews of bad battery life..

Like others mentioned. It shows rapid drained to begin, but gets really good after a week or so

not weird
Reviews were of early pre production units with an early software
Relased production units are naturally better - in many ways
From the first day the batterylife has been better that any of my other phones (see signature). My usage style is really heavy too. As others have reported it keeps getting better at least it has improved every day for the week ive had it.

Yup, saw it already. Not very good for a dual core processor phone.
Sad.
Well the batterylife will be better on gingerbread and up since our fancy dual core isnt supported in 2.2
send from mah ubersmexy tricorder
Yeah, but gingerbread also doesnt support dual core right?
I kinda forgot if it was gingerbread or honeycomb hmm eitherway on a next update it might improve allthough as previously posted before it gets better after some charge cycles also letting the battery drean all the way down and than fully recharge +2 hours additional charging a month improves battery drainage in general
send from mah magic toaster
But I heard people saying that by doing that, you are actually harming the battery life. I'm not sure, maybe someone can come in and clarify this.
Since 7.30 this morning (3h ago) with 3g, a little app sorting, and 30min of music ive lost 52% battery. This is rooted, factory-restored and with frOzen unnessesery apps.
Also it seems that now, a week old, the battery is getting worse and worse Since it reached its peak 2 days ago.
Help please

Tests here made on a preproduction unit with prelaunch software making this test slightly useless as anadtech should now.
Both stability and battery life are better on production units being sold after launch with a more mature software.
This test should be repeated now with a production unit to have any validity.
Guys,
i m totally sucked off bye this phones battery problem.
even i got new battery from flipkart, its giving me battery problem.
Every aspect of this phone is geat.
Most good is developer support. Thank u guys. U r Gods.
.
Now i m thinking giving up this phone.
i have 2 options Moto Atrix 2 or xperia Arc S ?
what u think friends ?
or still continue on o2x ?
plz give ur comments and options.
the only reason why i would choose the atrix is the ram. oterwise stay on O2x. I will personally change it only when sgs3 comes out
sent from my CM9 kang powered LG Optimus 2x via XDA premium
Atrix has a larger 1930 Mah battery, though i haven't used an atrix, but bigger battery should mean long lasting battery....
I have used an arc, battery life is same as that on optimus rather wrse than 2x coz in that set the light sensor can't be turned off...
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA App
Flipped off by the battery? My battery even on a stock ROM has no problem lasting a day of use.
I haven't got more than a day of battery with any smartphone except galaxy note..
It gave me full 2 days with games and games and games going on
Sent from my Optimus 2X using XDA
The atrix also has a larger screen and that's gonna eat more battery and more fps in games so no thanks, i wouldn't trade my o2x for any of those but that's personal preference no one can tell you want to choose so make your mind up and deal with the consequences.
Looking at the specs, I'd get the Atrix 2 although I would imagine the Xperia Arc S would give better battery life.
Although it seems -depending where you live- the Atrix 2 is 4G so if you used that a lot, it would drain the battery fast (You can turn it off, just like 3G).
Signal might be weak in your area, if that's the case, no phone will give you long battery times. On tha other hand: isn't it possible that there are no two identical devices, some have slightly better electronic parts placed in, some worse, draining more juice in given time? Some people write about 20-40 hours of battery-life, i personally never could squeez more than 12-16 hours out of mine. Using 2G only, Juice Defender etc. I'm now on hei's Nova HD Plus RC9-18. This gives me about 18-20 hours of avarage use.

There could be something in that. I've just picked up an EVO 3D, and people complain about the terrible battery life. I'm currently on about 1 day 13 hours, and I've being trying to drain the battery lol. Somewhere between 20 to 25% left on it at present. My O2X has been pretty good as well
If I go to my office, I know battery life will be bad, as the signal is VERY bad, and is cut out about 80% of the time (it's continually on/off).. so wastes a lot of battery juice.

really usefull ?
I think the Motorola will be best :battery life ,larger screen ,more ram ,better call experience ,etc
but i don't think it's very usefull to change from an optimus 2x ,the experience will be quietly the same ...better wait for sgs 3 or quad core phone

They will sure rock, but the prices will be conciderebly high, mostly the first couple of months, maybe years. OX2 is still offers one of the best price/quality proportion.
stick with your o2x and wait until the new generation of quadcore phones (e.g. huawei ascend d) become cheaper

search "air strike" in this forum, lol :silly:
I agree with both of you that it's damn irritating when an idiot keeps asking the question that's been asked a hundred times before...
The problem here is that if you browse the forum on the phone itself via either the xda or the xda hd app, their search functions are crippled, and you can't search in a forum. So the search gives you a million useless results from other forums.
Thus the only solution, it seems to me, is to just keep leafing through the forum threads manually and it doesn't seem to be easy to identify a result...

As ridiculous as it may seem, I kind of want one!
Maybe tomorrow. I was very surprised though how elegant the phone looks with this battery. It's the new back cover, has very smooth curves, I like it a lot...
I'm a heavy user, I love my 4600mah battery for my gs3, looks like I get the gn2 tomorrow; so i'm looking at this battery and drooling. I know exactly what you mean about fitting in your hand. I spend my time doing anything from navigation while making phone calls or streaming music, extensive skype usage, constantly in my browser.. fpse is my favorite pastime (and, in fact, why i want this phone, the extra screen will be perfect for gaming those dusty ps1 games in the closet). I've been known to blast my hulu or netflix anytime anywhere, and i like my screen on bright, with all my services running like gps constantly. I get 10-12hrs of screen time depending on my usage..
any way we could get some benchmarks? how much screen on time are we talking? are you gaming, or just reading a book, or streaming video?
No, I don't feel like benchmarking anything.
Basically I can confirm though that this battery is supposedly almost 3x the capacity of the stock one, and based on my experience so far this is indeed so. Thus, I think it's a high quality battery, and whatever you're doing with the phone, you'll be able to do almost three times as long.

Hey guys I recently got my extended 2600mah battery, cool thing is abouy this battery is its the samr size as the stock battery!!!
Now threre are lots of rumors in forums and places that these batterys are only the 1500mah ones but kinda like hacked to be 2600mah, apparently theirs alot of modding done to the voltage therefore making yhe device hoter?
Yes! My XPlay is noticeably hoter than it was but its not to hot to handle (c wha I did dere? :3)
When overclocking and playing games the device is even more hoter but it wont cook an egg!
Performance, I can get a much lasting experience within this battery! I get about 6-8 hours more everyday usage,
So the verdict, if ur a hardcore android gamer = get one
If ur a hardcore emulator addict dont get one as ur typically goin to be overclocking and past 1.6 GHz the device becomes like super nova hot, O.0
If u juat want a longer battery = watchu watin 4? U should be on ebay lookin for one,
Btw I got this for 6.99 Euros!
Enjoy!
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Where did you get this battery for 6.99?? I want one in 2 minds whether to get this or the oversized 3600 battery any thoughts i think the bigger battery is more than a cm extra to the case which seems abit much to me so leaning towards the gold 2600 battery of stock size, i have heard some of these have incorrect voltages tho
You should post a link to the same battery you bought to make sure future buyers will have the same experience as you claim, after all, ebay is ridden with knock off batteries which can gravely harm the phone and the user.
Yep sorry I posted on mobile and eBay is hell to use mobile even on Dolphin browser...
Im om mobile now, but ill try n post a link tmrw!
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
I recommend the 2600mah as even tho its incorrect voltages mine is working fine and after a while the phone dosent get real hot, O.0
And im using the DXEngine Kernel which has a GPU Overclock, so I would except it to be hot...

not to be a stickler but I had this same battery about 2 years ago and I had serious issues with my PLAY. The heating was one, the other issues was I had serious game and all around phone lag and performance issues. When I checked the batteries output via a meter the output was not a consistent smooth flow. It boumced around, some really low some really high. Perhaps things are better with this battery but I then found the 2600mha battery that I later made a thread for onb this forum/section.
I understand people want a battery that has more mha and same as stock size but you have to think about inconsistency. Not saying this couldnt be a good battery, and again it has been about 2 years since i purchased this battery and had my issues with it, so its possible its a good now other then the heat.

The problem is that they have squeezed 65% more capacity into the same size casing, which seems scary to me. Why didnt Sony have this in the first place if that was ok to do? My battery may be massive but it feels safer to me

Hello
As the title suggests, I need advice on the best replacement battery for Samsung Galaxy S i9000. The original 1500mAh for the phone lasts 3-4 hours or a tad bit over at best with continued use on my phone that was rooted to Cyanogen mod along with ThinkingBridge installed just recently. I don't even play games on the phone so it's a bit annoying to see it give up so soon with browsing only.
I was wishing this phone could somehow last about as long as Samsung Galaxy Note does with its 2500mAh but perhaps I am being too wishful. Nevertheless, I would fancy maximum possible increase in its battery life as long as it is significant and actually worth my money.
Having said that, I would welcome advice on the matter preferably from people who actually own or have owned the phone and know of such reliable batteries and the kind of performances they have delivered. I'd also appreciate if somebody could tell exactly how many hours a new replacement battery would add. I doubt that any of the legit ones will be available here in Pakistan so I ll probably be ordering it from the US (Amazon or eBay).
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for getting back to me on the matter but the thing is that there's a mention of so many different battery brands including anker and polar cell and mugen and oem that it gets confusing for me to pick the best. As a result, I was looking for advice on which one actually works best with this phone and gives maximum possible battery time with uninterrupted wifi activity. Let me know if I am correct to assume that Polar Cell 1800mAh is better than Anker 1800mAh.
