Im on 136 latest firmware and the annoying bug is still present. Try doing this and you will see what i mean.
Edit a picture using the stock photo editor. Crop it first to a smaller size then sharpen.. The picture becomes zig-zaged.. Literally. You wont be able to recognize the what the picture is anymore.
I need to do the long cut to bypass this which is to first sharpen. Then save. Then go to the edited picture and crop then save again.. Its too much work..
Also, image stabilizer on the camera now sucks big time. 70% of the time, there is an after image on pictures sort of like a street fighter ultimate move. How annoying can this update get..

Hi guys,
Using stock ROM and camera (.257) on the Z1. I have a weird issue with the Timeshift Burst feature:
As I understand it, it is supposed to take 30 images, then let me choose one to keep.
Instead, it takes 30 images, lets me choose one, and then keeps all 30 images in my gallery!
They all get uploaded to Dropbox and G+, and they all clutter my on-device gallery. How do I make it stop? I want just one image, not 30.
Thank you!
you can do this.
DCIM\XPERIA\TIMESHIFT, then delete extra files before uploading

Both Dropbox and G+ auto-upload... Having to manually delete files is really a workaround - is there no "sane" way to do this? I expected a setting I missed or something.
Discovered the same annoying issue today. Hope the will fix it or at least give an option...

It's not an issue, Sony made it like this so you can later change the picture you selected. after you take a picture in timeshift burst, select a picture, then if you go to the gallery you will see one image. there is 3 buttons in the bottom right corner, the middle one is to change the picture, if you click on it you will get back to the screen you chose the picture from (as if you just took the picture right now and it's telling you to choose the picture you want to keep in gallery).
Probably the issue you're having is that G+ uploads all the 60 (they're 60 pictures, not 30) and shows them in the gallery. if you can remove G+ pictures from gallery, You'll be good to go.

yea its pretty annoying. i havnt tried to figure a way around it yet but maybe you could use foldersync to watch the folder where the timeshifts are saved, and get it to move them to another location, one that G+ doesnt listen to.
tasker might be another one to use. pick the photo you want to keep and copy it to the dcim/camera folder, then have a shortcut (swipepad is a handy way to launch tasks without leaving the current app) to get tasker to delete everything inside the timeshift folder
When I take a picture of an object that is close to the camera, the picture look blurry, for example when I take a picture of some text you cant read the text, can some one help me to solve this problem please

Well, it all depends on how close you are. It's still a phone without optical zoom or any advanced settings. It works fine for me with 5-10 cm distance to object. Use torch instead of flash to get good light.
Thats all tips I can help with
Has anybody else noticed a weird diamond spot on some surfaces though honor play camera?
It is visible only on certain surfaces and colors, at the center of camera.
I have uploaded the pics in a honor club post, link below.
https://club.hihonor.com/in/thread.252357
I have also uploaded the video here if someone not able to compare with pics.
Anybody has any clue why is it there, please check and share your views.

I just tried this and yes. It's in mine too. Grrrr
After a few tries, I can only get it to show if I use the flash. Maybe it's just a flash issue?
Yep, I have this problem too.
Is this issue fixed? I'm guessing AI mode caused this (if that makes sense)
I've ordered Honor Play 4GB variant India which will be delivered on 4th Oct 2018 Sunday.
Starting to regret my choice.

Makes no sense that it's connected to ai, no. How could it? You can safely ignore the muppets on that other forum ("maybe you have a mark on your jeans" lol!)
It happens with me with Open Camera so it's not even related to the stock camera app. I used to have a sony z3 and that camera added a pink blob in the middle. I just don't think phone manufacturers test their stuff properly.

Oh cool ! Thanks for the reply.
Got any tips for a new Honor Play user ?
I only see it when I use the flash, on items close to the lens, so I'm wondering if it's taking the image slightly sooner than it should do?
It seems like and it's the actual flash LED glow that's causing the spot?
If it took a millisecond longer to take the pic, the LED glow wouldn't get picked up by the image sensor?
Just a theory.

No, because for me it happens (I can see the shape) when i've not yet taken the shot so there's no flash, focus light etc. And the shape - it's a rotated square.
It is odd, because I can't get it to occur on every photo. It does seem easiest on trousers! Perhaps it's supposed to be a watermark that's much less visible.
If you only pretend to use your phone camera and instead use a proper camera, like huawei do (https://petapixel.com/2018/08/20/huawei-caught-faking-smartphone-photos-with-a-dslr-again/) then you won't have this problem.
Hi does anyone know where the photo setting that I can set?
Cause I wanna the photos are shown in descending order instead of the newer ones below.

Haha good question....the photo gallery is sorting and displaying in a strange way....newest on the bottom and u have to scroll up to see older ones.
Any other app even messaging ones display newest on the top so the phone gallery app is pretty annoying.
Yeap hope OPPO can let us set it in our preferred way, it annoying when you got a lot of photos on top but need to scroll all the way down to see the new shot that we make.
Hi guys. Anyone else have an issue whereby the colors in the photo preview are rich and vibrant and then the captured photo is flat and horrible? Happens in social media apps as well as the main camera. But only with photos not videos. Any ideas? Before and after attached.
The first one looks way oversaturated especially the red channel.
Clear system cache and cam data.
Probably has to do with settings but could be the firmware is displaying previews in vivid display mode.

Tbh I wouldn't mind if it displayed the second image, but I don't want two different results. I want whatever I'm looking at to be the taken photo. I'll try that thanks.
Does yours do this if you have the same phone?

That first image is a screen shot?
I have Note 10+'s. I only use the preshot image to set up, frame, AF lock, exposure, etc a shot.
After decades of shooting the final result is all that matters to me. I find shooting with smartphones to be generally annoying.
