So I've been playing with this for a while and I'm loving it. One thing I'm either overlooking or it's not included, lockscreen slider short cuts? I've gone to ROM controls and everywhere else I could think of to try and arrange them.

If I could sum it up, it is a smoother, less battery intensive, and more reliable version of PAC. Besides performing better and being more stable all around than the PAC nightlies we have ATM, it is the same ROM. I'd have to say it is one of the best ROMs I've ever flashed besides maybe HoloBlur or BeanStalk
I am quite happy we're getting some official support on this beast!

Not in this case. The nomenclature is Major.Minor.Patch. You could have a 2.9.4 followed by a 1.8.3 its not a decimal number.

Hahaha... Yeah... Kinda!
k2wl said he'll concentrate on AOKP and PA. I have a lot of free time these days, so I thought I should utilize it somehow. PAC-man ROM is almost perfect so I decided to move to other ROMs.
It is about time Galaxy Grand had a variety of ROMs. Users of Grand should also have a choice in ROMs like people with other phones do (Note 2, S4 etc.).

If they are force closing randomly, it will be hard to track down the main cause without logcat. If possible, provide me the logcat when the app crashes. Also, go into recovery and 'clear cache' and 'clear dalvik cache'. No data will be lost by doing this.

Based On: AOSP

Beta Release Date: 2014-03-25
Created 2014-01-31

That image with Halo is false advertising lol
Also, cj360 has builds for our family:
http://www.drdevs.com/devs/?dir=cj360/Aospa-remix
UPDATE: Halo is dead. Also TabletUI is impossible due to 4.4 code, and there is no PIE as of 2/23/2014. A lot of features are missing compared to 4.3 PA, so be advised, flash addicts.
Lol true but the ROM is still in beta. And I didn't knew he build one for us...my next project I am working on is omni ROM. It just sucks that Ubuntu does not run well on some APUs

Here the good news is that you finely did it bro. Great to see more users learning the long run which is developing. Great job.

Haha I've also been looking into setting up a build environment for Omni since cj360 has PA covered already, but it's a lot to learn for setting up the manifests and device trees. Great job on getting a working build BTW!
Yeah I have everything set up. I already I did a quick build which it runs like butter but radio is not working so I got to wait and see if I can fix the PA lightbulb app before I start again with omni ROM ...its just hard with my system right now as I had to buy a budget PC because so low life broke into my house a few days before the holidays

Sweet, thanks for the rom man, I installed it works very smooth but maybe I missed something there is no paranoid preferences at all

It's true he does have builds up, but I just flashed his and the screen doesn't work whatsoever. It showed the initial choose language screen but I couldn't tap anything. The power button was the only thing that worked.

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
THE DEV TEAM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE YOU CAUSE TO YOUR PHONE
** Please be aware some builds may not work, and be patient with the Vanir team as they continue to sort stuff out **
DIRECTIONS
Boot to Recovery
BACKUP
Wipe System/Data/Davlik/Cache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Wipe Davlik/Cache
Profit!
°°For those flashing custom kernels°°
Be aware- Vanir includes a script that enables their own kernel tweaks. This script does not play well with flashing custom kernels. The solution!
Flash ROM
Navigate to- /system/etc/init.d/
Delete the file- 00kernelcompat
Reboot to recovery
Flash kernel
Profit!
You can also open the ROM zip on your PC before flashing and remove the file from the same directory then flash the ROM and you're good to flash the kernel.
**If you dirty flash between nighties, DO NOT wipe system or data before flashing the ROM. It will wipe gapps and the ROM install script won't be able to restore them**
That said, a clean flash is always recommended

I was able to connect to my stereo via Bluetooth on the 12/31 build. These are nightlies so something might be occasionally broken.

I just searched the Xda thread for the N7 (2012) and could not find a discussion on the Vanir ROM. It would be cool to run the same Rom on my N7 and S4.
Where can I find the Vanir ROM for the N7?

There isnt a thread for every device supported by Vanir. 48 to be precise. If you click the download link then go to the parent directory you'll see downloads for all supported devices. Here's the link to make it even easier: http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/:good:

Lightly themed. WiFi tether is working!
I'll get some screen shots up in a bit. Theming is mild and pleasant.
