Notification Icon gone - Samsung Galaxy Gear

Just randomly my notification disappeared. Not sure what happened... I'm using Null 19.
Is there anyway to fix it without restoring the gear?

Trouble downloading apps?

Is anyone having trouble downloading apps?
As an example:
I goto Gear Manager, Select my device, Goto Samsung Apps, Goto Utilities, Click on free at the top, Click on Neon : Digital Watch, Click on Install...it flashes like it tries to install and nothing happens...the install button pops back up.
I'm using a Verizon Galaxy Note 3 with my Gear 2 Neo.
Fixed. I had to got www.samsungapps.com on my phone and reinstall Samsung Apps which is separate from Gear Manager.
I have the same problem...only I do have Samsung apps installed. I can download the apps to the phone and it will attempt to install...just says "Installing" forever. I literally have to reboot the phone to get it to stop.

Do you have a Samsung phone? If not, did you install the actual Samsung apps? I believe there is one that has been modded to work with non Samsung phones.
Yeah. I'm running the official gear manager on the note 3.

[Q] Gear Manager updated 7/15; now Gear 2 Neo won't connect

I see that I received an update to the Gear Manager today. Now I can't connect the Galaxy S4 to the Gear 2 Neo. Anyone else having this problem?
Background:
Before I noticed the update (which had connected to the Neo just fine), I looked at the watch faces running under Multi Watch and saw they were corrupted (the number for the calendar had floated off to the upper right in the screen). So I decided to reset my watch. When I tried to connect, the watch and phone evidently exchanged PINs correctly, but the phone kept jumping back to the 'Connect' screen and wouldn't recognize the watch as connected.
The Gear keeps reverting to the "select the Gear you want your phone to connect to" screen.
Gear seems paired successfully in the phone's BT settings, but won't connect there either.
Multiple deletes of the Gear in the Bluetooth settings haven't worked. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Gear Manager several times. Cleared all the caches and data for Gear Manager several times.
S4 rooted with Towelroot; SuperSU installed. Root access granted to Titanium Backup, Memory Booster, Root Explorer. Formerly had BusyBox on it and xPosed framework (running Wanam). Uninstalled BusyBox and xPosed and Wanam.
Any ideas?
Did you reboot both the phone and the gear?
Last resort is to reset the gear. It is a pain, but is better than not having it connected. I had to do the same thing.
Yes - rebooted both the phone and the Gear 2 Neo several times. I've been able to test this with another Galaxy S4 and a Galaxy S5 and the Neo connects to both of them. Looks like the problem is in the app, or something that happened when my S4 got rooted.
Looks like the Gear 2 Neo goes back in the box until another update comes out for Gear Manager.

Another option is to remove the gear manager you installed from sammy and install the one found on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2677686
And is the ROM you have on kitkat?
Good idea - tried it and got the same response. Couldn't find a version number on the one from the link, but I suspect it is the same as Sammy released today.
ROM is stock 4.4.2 Android from VZ - I545VRIFNC5. Rooted. I put BusyBox Pro back on there, and xPosed framework, and Wanam, but I haven't yet enabled Wanam.

Just had the same, what happened to me was that I flashed a new ROM, couldn't get it to connect just like yours.
Resolution was to flash another ROM, one that is basically stock.
Then the Gear Manager kicked in and installed all the relevant apps for the gear neo when I opened it.
I believe that the problem was with some missing files from the ROM I installed first when it stopped working.
I also had to go to get then newer "galaxy apps" from Samsung's mobile website..
You could make a backup and flash some other stock rooted ROM see if that helps..
Otherwise I don't know, this was just a a suggestion..
M..
Question from a n00b
I was successful in rooting VRUFNC5, so here's my (probably noob) question:
Is there a VRUFNC5 file that I can put on the SDCard and use to reflash my phone to stock?
I am not experienced in using ODIN, and the instructions I've found here seem to presume a bit of knowledge that I am not confident I have.
If I can get it back to stock, I'll reconnect the Gear 2 Neo, and then re-root it.

TROUBLE Rom/Backups/safestrap/trouble

I have rooted my note 3 N900A with towelroot and installed safestrap v3.75 .
Everything seems to have installed correctly, when I check to see if I have root with root checker pro, it says I have root and that I have busybox installed as well.
When I go into safestraps/recovery and do a backup of my stock slot. Everything works for the backup. But then when I try to install a rom in any one of the slots it goes through the whole process just fine until the very end when it says in red fail.
It does the fail with every rom that I try to install. And if I try to do a restore in any slot with the backup that I made in the recovery it will fail as well.
So this just leaves me with having to use the stock slot with the original stock phone software.
Also when I try to install titanium backup on my phone that is saying it's rooted, The app won't work because it says that I don't have root. There was another app that would not work when I tried to instead it too because life the same reason. It said that I don't have root as well.
After trying to look for a solution to this, I found that there is an app that I could try to fix what has happened, called
SELinux Mode Changer
After I installed that app and tried to use it. The app made it look like it was working but really it was not doing anything. When I went into the phone info in settings, it still said that selinux was still enforcing.
Does anyone know if there is a solution to this? I would really like to be able to install a new rom on one of the other slots, heck ide settle for being able to put my stock backup on one of the other slots besides the stock slot.

I ran into a similar situation.. After wiping everything and then manually updating my stock to Kit Kat (MLG) I was then able to load custom roms in available slots. I used safestrap version 3.72 along with busy box. Also be sure to format the slot and wipe the cache and dalvik after installation.
The only ROM I am unable to install is Dynamic Kat xtreme. After loading that guy, the flash just fails.
UPDATE: I for unknown reasons to me, was able to successfully install one of my restore files to slot 1. Then after it reboots the phone acts as if it is restarting correctly, but ason as it gets past the safestrap logo with recovery/startup. It goes right into the phones recovery, and it keeps saying that it is installing "multiple csc or something.
Can someone help me with this?

After hitting rock bottom with many of the roms, I finally checked out my external sdcard and realized that it was having issues. After using a different card, I was then able to install all roms for testing.
I had to downgrade safe strap to 3.72 for it to work on my device.

Layer Manager crash

Hello,
I here made some terrible mistake with my Galaxy note3.
I rooted my device and then installed busybox on rails.
Then I installed layer manager.
Then installed theme from Google Play!
applied the theme and then reboot.
Now as my phone reboot.
I saw that now google play is not working it crashes everytime I install any app. Theme is very ugly.
Now as I open the layer manager to remove the theme I saw that it crashes again and again ..... everytime.
Their seems no hope, how I can remove this f****** theme from my device.
I would appriciate any help.
please suggest an alternative approach than flashing stock rom via odin!!!
