My Moto x alerted me of new firmware update this morning but I didn't see a change log or can find any info on this. Phone still shows 4.4 so not sure what this firmware update was.
Any ideas?

Have you rooted, installed custom recovery or changed any system files at all? It won't update if so.

Not modified in any way, I'm using with prepaid att plan. I haven't read anything about new updates either.

My ATT Moto X also had two random shutdowns last night and this morning...but nothing has been changed, as far as I can tell.
Anyone else have any update on this?

Hey, just got my Nexus 5 today from Amazon... Sprint version, black 16gb. During the first initial setup, I got a software update as soon as I connected to wifi. Wasn't given a choice to install, it just started the download and install process. Anyone know what this is about? I haven't heard anything about OTA's yet... weird.

Mine did this update instantly on T-Mobile too. It's just an update Google has released since your phone was manufactured.

LG stockpiled Nexus 5 orders before launch to try and stop the massive shortage issue they had with the Nexus 4. Google simply made more updates to kit Kat since that time hence the Day One ota. All Nexus 5s get it no worries.

Edit: they still had shortage issues.
OK cool, lol. Wasn't worried, was just hoping I got an early update, lol. I just hadn't seen any mention of this in reviews.

Is there a stock 4.3 rom available for international active? I've seen the at+T have it I can't Ota as I rooted.
I should probably uproot and check? Any advice is welcome.
I'm after the update as I want ant+ functionality.
Cheers

Set up kies today and check and it states I am on the latest FW. I'm confused as I can find posts on the Googlewebs that says both AT&T and European handsets have 4.3 as well as 4.4. I've attached a screen of my device. Any advice would be awesome. This Samsung device is about to most confusing device I've owned firmware wise and modding .

No, Samsung released 4.4.2 after 4.2.2, there wasn't any 4.3 versiyon. But ATT sgs4 active has that.
I took the plunge and installed the 4.4.2 nordic rom from samobile. Seems to work fine after an initial glitch with a few bits but was fixed by wiping.

and won't connect to LTE. I was able to download the "Phone Testing" app to access and change the setting to an LTE setting.
Is there a way to make this setting stick on reboot? At the moment anytime I have to reboot I have to change it back.
I'm on AT&T and my phone is the unlocked GSM(XT1053) version. My bootloader is locked and I'm not rooted; I have no intention of rooting till my warranty runs out.

Try LTE/GSM (AUTO) PRL then exit and reboot and see if it sticks
I love the nexus 6 but it would so much nicer being able to customize it like we get to customize the Moto X , I love the bamboo back  , so I wonder is there any chance of moto releasing a phablet this year? 5.5" 5.7" would be nice, I read that they were gonna release a nexus 6 without the nexus branding, but what happened with that? Did they cancel it?
They did release it. If I am not mistaken it's called the Moto X Pro, but it's only available in china.

You're completely right, they did release under the Moto X Pro Moniker, there's no unboxings on youtube though and China doesn't have moto maker just yet, so you can only buy the black version and by the looks of it, it doesn't look like it will get released in other countries
