do you know the steps on how to do it? or at least a step by step guide?
:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Dont worry dude....its just a softbrick....easily fixable.
For odin, search google and refer some guides. Use the guides meant for the Ace only.
If you want CM7, try flashing it again and do all the wipes.
And wait for sometime in the Android screen. It will take sometime for first boot.

Did it , same not working , stucking at that screen.
reflash your rom, but before doing that do a backup in recovery mode. that way you wont lose any data...
Re flash the rom, if stock rom flash it with odin, if custom rom than via clockwork.
Dont panic unless you can go into download mode.
Download mode is very helpful.

Yes. If you can go in download mode just flash a original firmware and that's it.

What recovery?
Did you try a hard reboot right after install?

The cm that I used was the one recomend for the 8.9

There are 3 different 8.9's. 7300, 7310, and 7320.
There are several CM roms. 9, 10, 10.1, 10.2.
What recovery are you using?
7300
10
And clockwork

Try flashing a different rom. Either C-o-m's cm10.1 or any of addem123's stable roms.
Do a full wipe, including a factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, format system partition.
If that doesn't work, I'd suggest flashing a stock rom with odin.
Will try that in the morning
Thanks for the help so far

Also, you should be using either the latest cwm from c-o-m's cm10.1 thread , or twrp from the a1 kernel thread.

Hey guys,
My friend gave me his Ace (S5830) that he had managed to soft brick while trying to root it. He also wanted CM10.1 on it. I found tutorials online, and flashed what claimed to be a CWM recovery .tar and the OPC in Odin, so it now boots to how he had it before. However when I use any tool to boot into recovery, it soft bricks again, with the Samsung logo and web link, so I have to use Odin to fix it again. If I try power+menu on boot it just shows the logo and link, however taking the battery out lets it boot normally. Should I install a stock firmware from sammobile.com, or give up?
P.S. If stock restore, how?

Ok then, flash a stock rom via Odin
You can get Official firmwares from here
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-S5830&pcode=0#firmware
He used ROM Manager to boot into recovery, but it didn't have one, so it was basically bricked.

Ok, then will it have stock bootloader?

Try to boot into download mode and flash a stock via Odin
But it boots OK now, as long as it's not rebooted into recovery by ADB or an app. Will a stock rom via Odin fix the bootloader issue?

Yes, it should fix it so do it and then flash the files that you'll find in the first link I posted "Root+ CWM 5.0.2.6. Fixed"
Hello guys,
I'm new to this device, but not new to android and XDA. I have a S3 Mini GT-I8190N, Baseband: I8190NXXAMJ2, Android version: 4.1.2. I can access recovery with the 3 button combo. And through my reading, I have found out some phone models or phone carriers cant access recovery (I think, I might be wrong). So is there a file I can flash using stock recovery (3e) to root my phone or is the only way odin?
Help will be appreciated!
Sync.

Hi
Sorry I'm new to rooting phone devices, I wanted to know we're you able to root your device.
I have the same phone and baseband and wanted to know how to root the phone. I'm only looking to root the phone as I wish to delete the pre installed apps on the phone as I'm running out of internal memory.
I would really appreciate you help.
