is there any version of watchstyler that - Samsung Galaxy Gear

doesn't absolutely destroy your battery life??
I'm on the latest Null ROM and my battery life was absolutely amazing until I added a watchstyler widget.
I was ending a LONG day with over 50% battery left.
This morning I added a watchstyler widget and made no other changes at all. The thing has dropped to 47% in 3 hours.

What's your brightness setting at?
Are the colors of the new face white or bright? Black makes battery last longer.

brightness at 3 (same as its always been), watch face is black (rolex submariner)
I was running the stock weather clock (which I really like) until this morning. Looks like I'm going back to that as the battery life to me is far more important than a fake rolex face (although that face looks awesome)

Stock weather, which I do not like does not update often enough and is never correct when I check is simple does not use graphics.

I do wish I could get it to update a little more often, but once an hour is usually close enough in my area anyway.
The stock weather app is pretty ugly, but running it with the awesome Real Icon theme is absolutely beautiful.
I am definitely back to running that as my DD clock, the watchstyler had my watch at 12% battery by noon today. Yesterday at this time it was at something like 86% and still over 50% at dinner time.

Froyo, battery percentage in bat icon

Is there any way to get the battery percentage as text inside the battery icon in the status bar with froyo?
the closest thing your looking for is battery indicator
Ok thanks.
So in other words, it is not yet possible to add this text to the battery icon in froyo yet?
not likely, unfortunately there is no real way to really edit the notification bar without rooting.
Yeah, sorry forgot to say that i am rooted
oh well in that case the possibilities are endless, im not rooted so im afraid my helping you ends here, lol

battery notify is the same, fully colored and free
I think that most people are waiting for the source being released to do tweaking on it.
I'm also looking for this!
Froyo just dropped on AOSP so it won't take long anymore
well got:
CyanogenMod-6.0.0 RC1
But no percentage in the battery indactor.
Any tips?
Edit:
Found it: Settings / Cyanogenmod settings/ userinterface/ battery and clock
Sorry to revive this, but was wondering if someone has something for this... I wanna keep the stock N1 ROM. Any suggestion?

need some apps that show the battery %

i find so many of them, but jest wonder who is the best apps that show the current battery percent, in the task bar or widget...
I actually use extended controls. It's a widget that looks like the standard android Power Control widget. You can customize it to have loads of controls and the battery percentage. I can't remember how much it is in the market, but its definitely worth it.
Sent from my Desire HD
Tnx for the tip. Will try it!

If there's a full root we could modify the framework-res.apk and get a modified battery icon in the notification bar. Way better..
My favorite: BattStatt. It's a widget for your screen. Has various sizes, and shows your battery in words.
Try BatteryIndicator
SwitchPro also does it, and worth getting anyway.
try this,
press screen or enter personalize,
chooseshortcut
then
settings
then
battery use
basic but good

I second this. Very simplistic and nice. Customizable so you can choose a color that suits your current background. Along with Tajm you'll have a nice clean setup on home screen or lock screen (Widgetlocker ($1.99) allows you to put widgets on the lockscreen along with custom sliders. I recommend a looksy).

No need to root or modify anything
just the apk you'll find there : Circular battery Indicator with % (No root required)
Works great on my DHD
Wow that is great, will use it for now!

Thanks from me too, it's great, just what I wanted!
BTW, as I said on the other thread, I just wonder if this (kind of) software could shorten battery life, having to do its duties to refresh all the time?

From the linked topic:
- the Circular Battery Indicator does not use a lot of battery resources, the device broadcasts a message when the battery status changes, the app catches this broadcast and update itself to show the right percentage, it is as simple as that, so it is extremely light weight on the CPU.

Oops, thanks, seems like I was a bit too lazy
I had read about the existence of this 'broadcast' system elsewhere, but I was worried because before of this app I used a widget (BatteryIcon if I remember) that had a 'refresh time' to choose in the settings and so I thought (that) app had to 'ask' the system the actual battery level every time. Seems like this one is much better developed so, good to be known, I like it very much, also the ability to have the 'battery use' page open in a bunch of seconds is just all I need

[Q] Clock app used in Serendipity?

I've been having some issues with Serendipity---mostly loving it, but getting some really weird side effects with googlevoice, among other things.
Anyway, the reason I've stuck with Serendipity so far is that the clock app is AMAZING. I fabricated a sexy little wooden dock for my phone, and every night I plug in, turn that app on, tilt landscape and let it be my alarm clock.
I'm sure it's possible to extract that app, but it seems like it's sorta integral to the ROM--if that's possible. I'd like to do something crazy like try firefly + that clock app...
So the short version:
Can that clock app be downloaded somewhere else?

Should be. It's AOSP clock.
Thanks for the fast reply. I can find AOSP Clock mentioned all over the place, but no actual place to get the app. Suggestions, anyone?
Go grab it off the serendipity kitchen as an add-on. I like the alarm clock too, which seems to take precedence, so I flashed both at the same time in a cwm update. Now I have the "dock clock" that we both like, and the countdown timer/stopwatch/alarm clock that I use extensively too. Both are called "Clock" in the app drawer, with only a subtle icon difference.
The clock in the Serendipity kitchen is not the AOSP one it's the Samsung clock.
You might be able to download the AOSP here (didn't try it myself since I'm using the Samsung one)
http://sites.google.com/site/motodroidlife/home/DeskClock.apk?attredirects=0
Guys, I'm sorry I'm dense. The clock in serendipity that goes nicely to landscape and then dims to green while plugged in...that's....AOSP or Samsung?
<<Edit>> Ok, so maybe I'm super dumb here. I just bothered to look inside the serendipity rom zip and there's "DeskClockGoogle.apk" sitting right there. I'm assuming that's what I need, gonna flash and find out.
And Edit 2:
Yes, that worked. You can't install it---I copied it to SD card using SwiFTP and then used root explorer to move it to /system/apps/ and that auto installed it. Horray.

Battery widget?

Hi,
I'm looking for super simple battery widget. The only thing I want is to display battery left percentage.
So if I happen to have 54% left, I want it to show 54 or 54%. i do not need circle around it. resizable font would be nice, as i don't need huge text. any recommendations?

Are you running stock or Null? if your running null check out UCCW you can make it however you want with it.
I use Minimalistic Text to add the battery % like this.
