Hey guys,
so I've just discovered how awesome the profiles in CM11 are (never used them before) and now I want one profile to enable airplane-mode and enable WiFi (so that I don't have cellular connectivity but WiFi), that's my home-Profile, but the order is wrong so it will first enable WiFi and then enable airplane-Mode which will disable WiFi right away and then I have no connection and need to manually enable WiFi again, it should be the other way around, is there any way of changing that order so that it first enables airplane-mode and then enables WiFi?
Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Don't know if this will help you but you can do this with Tasker from Google Play store.

Hello All.
Does anyone have an addon or something which will help me quickly or automagically switch between different wireless networks and the GPRS network?
Basically, if im in a wifi area, i want it to switch to a wifi which i tell is acceptable (i.e. at work, home, and on UCF campus). Otherwise, iwant it to auto set itself to GPRS.
Any suggestions? Or even a quick-network changer would help...
Thanks.

Great question! I have been wondering about this too since I just got my 8125 on 5 days ago.
No one has any modification that would allow this?
Upgrading to 2.2 fixed this for me.
If you select 'My ISP' as your connection or uncheck the proxy server, you will be able to switch between wi-fi and GPRS automatically. The only catch is that you still need to turn on wi-fi manually. Leave it on all the time will quickly drain your battery in one or two hours.
Has anyone found a way to better manage bluetooth internet tethering on the null rom yet?
I mean a way to quickly enable or disable tethering. At the moment (at least for me), when I disable BT internet tethering on the phone/Gear, I have to re-enable it on both devices the next time I want to use it.. :/
(assuming you guys even disable tethering? Hows your battery life being with it always enabled?)
Wifi at my university is not really stable, especially when I'm between buildings. That is of course the time that I would most commonly use to quickly reply to a text. Now, I'd have to disable my wifi and enable it again afterwards.
My old Samsung device had an option to automatically fall back to mobile data when the wifi connection is bad. Is there a similar option with the Z3C, or another way to do it?
Thanks!
Is there a way that when I come into my home my wifi turns on automatically and turns data off in this app? I figured out how to turn wifi on with tasker but I want to know now if it can also turn data off when wifi connects. Galaxy s10+ so no root obv

Best option is using auto input and Tasker.
Auto input is basically a Tasker plugin that creates a virtual touch on your screen without root.
Or else you can also do this using autoTools secure settings but you will need adb for that and it won't work after reboot

Ok. One thing maybe you can help me with. I've noticed that after setting up my wifi with tasker the wifi shuts off from time to time. I don't think it's signal strength because I'm either 3 or full bars. Then like a few seconds later tasker will turn it back on. I know its triggered from the cell tower but I have no idea.

I don't experience the same.
It works just perfect for me.
Are you sure you are not doing something wrong?
Try mailing the developer
It could just be my router. It's in the basement and I'm 2 floors above
As for determining your proximity to your location, one good idea is to use two different sized or two location geo fences that you can cross reference against each other
Hi all,
I'm noticing that the data connection seems to be active even when on WiFi. Is there any option that I need to disable so that the phone runs entirely on WiFi. I looked in the developer options and keep data alive option is unchecked. Am I missing something?

Hi, just go into Wi-Fi Settings / Advanced and switch off tab (Switch to mobile data)
That's all.
Hi. Thanks for this but this option was never enabled in the first place. Anyways, it's self corrected now...aah..the wonders of the tech world

It's enabled by default just to keep your internet connection stable when wi-fi has an issues.

It will re-appear occasionally. Even if you turn off the "Switch to Mobile Data" setting, the mobile data icons and wifi icons will appear concurrently on the status bar. This happens even when the wifi connection is solid. Usually the mobile data icon disappears after a few seconds or minutes on its own. I'm not sure if its by design (for MMS or RCS or something else) or if it's a bug. But you're not the only one seeing this. My colleague has an S21U too and he shared a similar experience.

I'm suffering from the opposite problem!
I *WANT* to keep mobile data enabled while connected to Wi-Fi, but the setting on my phone has no effect! When I turn on the setting, my phone will still ignore mobile data.
I verify this by connecting to my dashcam via Wi-Fi. The dashcam does not provide any internet via Wi-Fi, but merely allows my phone to view the dashcam output and stored files. But once I connect my phone to the dashcam, then my phone has no connection to the internet. I can't force it to use the mobile data at that point. The phone is not behaving as it should. My older phone, LG G6, is able to successfully connect to the dashcam and still access the data through the cell signal.
The S21 Ultra simply cannot achieve this. I have the T-mobile variant, in the US.
I believe this is a bug. Can you get this setting to actually work? Like maybe test it by connecting your phone to your Wi-Fi router but disconnect the modem from the Wi-Fi router?
I'll post a separate thread for this, because I think it's a bug and maybe others are suffering from it without realizing.
