Screen turns on when plugged in, how to stop it? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am on ViperOne 3.5 Is there a way to make the phone NOT turn the screen on when plugged in? I have a mophie juice pack and sometimes it can be a bit wonky and unplug itself. It just annoying to see the screen turn on and me think I have some type of notification.

there should be an option in developer options to Stay awake while charging. Uncheck it.

I may have found a charging bug, please try yours and report back (CDMA)

Sprint CDMA Diamond.
If you go to Settings/System/Power, and CHECK the box "When device is turned on, do not charge when plugged into PC...", then the phone will keep charging even when full, when charging via a wall charger. In other words, the LED ring will keep "breathing" and the battery will stay warm long after the battery is at 100%.
If you UNCHECK that box (default setting), the phone will stop charging when the battery reaches 100% and the LED ring will turn to a solid glow.
Please try yours and report back.
Thanks.
Think it works properly.
It doesn't say, Stop Charging. Just don't charge when it's plugged in. Except if it's already plugged in and charging, it won't stop charging. Just unplug, then plug in the cable after making the change.

How to charge phone powered off?

I can't seem to find a way to charge the phone while off. If I turn it off then plug the power cord in, the phone turns on. If I plug the phone in then power off the phone turns back on.
Any ideas?
There's nothing to be done about it.
I contacted HTC about this in the past and their take on it is that its the nature of the beast. If the charger is plugged in, then the phone will stay on.
Sorry
Is there a reason you would want the phone to be off while it's charging?
Can't see why you'd want the phone switched off at all.... I'm fairly certain the phone needs to be switched on so it can manage the charging process, monitor when the battery is fully charged and therefore prevent overcharging which would wreck the battery.
But the concept of switching off the phone at all is.....weird. It's an "always on" device!

[Q] Charging while powered down

I've never understood how the screen works while charging, while the phone is off. Is this some sort of system partition, or low powered mode? The reason why I ask, is whenever I try and charge it, the screen stays on, along with the LED Notification light. It never changes, and thus, I can never tell when it's 'fully' charged.
Any help? Is there a way to fix this by flashing something? I feel weird having my screen on all night trying to charge my phone.
Also, I forgot to mention, I can't turn it on, while it's off and charging. If I try to, it seems to freeze, and the only way to turn it on, is to disconnect, and hold the power button until it reboots. Have I messed up something crucial?

[Q] Anyone else's screen stay on while charging?

I never noticed this before tonight. I have the Samsung wireless charger so I assumed the light I was seeing from behind me (I have it on my bookcase headboard and the base lights up in blue while charging and turns green when done) was from that. Tonight, I have the phone physically plugged in and sitting on the coffee table next to me. The screen won't stay off while charging. I push the power button to turn it off, it goes off for a few seconds and then comes back on.
Is this normal? I have the screen timeout set to 30 seconds, don't have Daydream turned on (anymore) and Stay Awake is turned off in Developer Options.
I went and put it back on the wireless charger and confirmed that the light won't stay off there either.
If it matters, I'm running Rapture 2.1 (COF8/5.1.1)
Disregard. It was caused by Cellmapper.

Charging Settings

I have a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5. When I plug in the phone for charging at night, the screen continuously comes on with a vibration, and I get a message momentarily that says my battery is low (I already know my battery is low, that is why I plugged it in). Having the screen continuously come on, really drains the phone more.
Are there any settings that can disable the charging ping that turns on my screen every few seconds?
