what was the error code of the ruu?
downgrade your hboot then run the ruu again.

i think you should try re installing the drivers from the scratch or use cwm that supports OTG and install the rom.

Two days of hard work and like 15 minutes after my post you come up with the simplest thing
and boom worked first time
Thank you so very mush
now if I can get rid of relocked and keep stock hboot so I can turn in would be great

Alternative 1: try revone
Alternative 2: try adb commands http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475914 (you'll need su privileges for that, maybe try the temproot exploit from firewater)
Alternative 3: you can use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527194
3A) obviously, you'll need a custom recovery for that, but if you're still on hboot 1.44 then you can use the command:
fastboot boot <name of recovery>.img
to get to custom recovery, without having to flash it.
3B) otherwise, you'll need to flash it:
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
-> enter recovery and use bootloader reset tool
rerun RUU, to get back to stock (ie remove custom recovery)
PS: for alternative 3, you'll need an unlocked bootloader
(if you don't / can't unlock let me know, i can package a custom recovery as fw.zip for you which will work with relocked bootloader, and let you use the tool or adb commands, and then you'll need to run RUU again)

It is difficult finding a RUU if you don't know the version number (x.xx.xxx.x)! Did you try to side load a custom rom on to your phone? The instructions were in [Solution] No OS installed post? ADB commands will work while the phone is in Recovery. Once the prep is complete, then boot the phone up into Recovery and plug it into the computer.

You can try this Guru Reset M7 3.63.707.4 for your phone and you can choose the stock recovery as an option. Download the file to your /Download folder, when in recovery you can select the file. This page has the installation screen shots.

RUU stuck at sending

I have an HTC One AT&T M7. I flashed a custom rom to try and get sense 6 but fell into a bootloop, long story short I desided to try and restore back to what I had before. So I downloaded RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_Cingular_US_4.18.502.7_R10_Radio_4T.24.3218.09_10.26.1718.01L_release_356565_signed_2.exe, but when I run it it get stuck at "(1/6) Sending.....". I have let is sit for an hour with no progress. Anyone know what's wrong? If not, is there any other method I can try and restore my phone?
One thing I see asked a lot is if usb debugging is enabled. I do not know, and can not check as I can not boot at the moment.

I have had lots of issue with running the 4.x RUUs. Your other option will be to push a rom to the sdcard using TWRP/adb sideload. Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2676986

Couple things ...when you pick a rom read the install instructions 2-3 times till you understand them.
For now you need to start over and follow this
Unlock the bootloader at HTCDEV
then from fastboot USB
Flash recovery TWRP 2.6.3.3
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then sideload this Rom to your phone
http://www.androidrevolution.org/downloader/download.php?file=Android_Revolution_HD-One_31.6.zip
TWRP / Advanced / ADB Sideload - swipe to sideload
From PC adb / fastboot folder
you use
adb sideload name-of-rom.zip
make sure the rom is in the same folder as adb / fastboot
Click to collapse
Now try and get S-Off with firewater, after that you can use the firmware and recovery in the file you have above

I tired to sideload before I tried the RUU and it didn't work, but I thought I'd try again. I flashed TWRP and sideloaded CyanogenMod (I already had it downloaded). It worked. I don't know what the problem was before.

Thank you for the reply!
Tried the latest TWRP too. The only thing happens, it goes to freezing "recovering mode..." and white screen and will not let into recovery mode options. That happens after entering RECOVERY, or trying to reset factory settings.
What have I most likely done, apart trying to load via ADB the CWM and TWRP?. Each time before uploading recovery would erase cache.

You could try to flash twrp version 2.6.3.3 if it still doesn't work you'll maybe need to relfash the stock firmware and try again to flash the recovery

Hey alray, would you know if there are alternatives to set s-off rather than with SunShine? hboot is 1.61,
Thanks

You could try to flash twrp version 2.6.3.3 if it still doesn't work you'll maybe need to relfash the stock firmware and try again to flash the recovery

Hey alray. Got already s-off
I am planning to go on cyanogenmod. But the recovery of 2.6.3.3 will be too old I recon. Tried install 2.7.1.1 and 2.8.5.0 on device. However these versions do not work for my device. Only 2.6.3.3 does. Could you suggest me how to succesfully get on twrp later version.
Thank you

I would try to reflash the whole firmware or ruu and to retry latest twrp. Maybe CWM works?

Tried flashing different RUU, but nothing helps to push newest TWRP/CWM recovery image. Changed CID
At the moment the only recovery TWRP-2.6.3.3 works , others crash, no CWM would work either.
Can it be, I need to downgrade HBOOT to lets say 1.44

Have changed CID & MID numbers, and the same situation remains-no entrance to TWRP Recovery modes, just messaged "Entering Recovery...". Would you suggest reflashing hboot version?

Fix your windows 8.1 drivers
Check the FAQ or nkk71 back to stock thread

Phone bootloops, tried installing roms, all bootloop, errors when trying RUUs.. help

A friend gave me his HTC ONE M7 to fix, he had a bootloop problem.
I tried unlocking bootloader, getting a custom recovery and installing a rom (with flashing boot.img in fastboot), but they all bootloop.
I tried to install RUUs, exe's give me error 170/171/155 or crash and zip files give me "FAILED (remote: 02 data length is too large)" or they just freeze Command Prompt and close.
Phone is now relocked and S-ON, on Windows 7 (cause fastboot didnt find device on win10 for some reason) and I use a USB Port 2.0 just in case.
I have to mention that its my first time working on a HTC device, and I might not know what RUU to take or I miss something, the last one I tried was:

Use the 7.19.401.51 ruu, the same from your screenshot. You must use the fastboot version linked at post #1 of that thread otherwise you'll get the data length error.

Thank you for your time, I spent a lot of time on it and I was too tired to see that I need that fastboot version.
Phone works now. Thanks again.
