Does anyone know if i can flash any t-mobile rom onto the att note 3? I am rooted and have safestrap !
I thought I could flash the rom onto one of the rom slots. Any advice/links is greatly appreciated
I would also like to know this, gonna help my buddy switch from att to tmobile
Unfortunately it won't work... to the detriment of everyone except AT&T executives.
Besides the n900t stuff not having the proper signatures to run on the n900a, I believe there are hardware differences, like physically removed or disabled frequency capabilities on the transceiver.
Yes! I am using this and works MUCH better on T-Mo

Make sure you pay attention to the Modificatinator file and add the T-Mobile carrier file after installation. Works fine and much better than stock ATT junk rom.
If I have the n900a from AT&T with a locked bootloader due to upgrading to KitKat 4.4.2, can I still use the phone on Tmobile or am I skwooed? Will moving to tmobile allow me to use custom roms (without safestrap) again?
You will have to network unlock it to use T-Mobile.
No. It will still have locked bootloaders.

Is it possible? Thinking about Getting a Note 3, But I don`t like the changes AT&T makes. For an example The data icons AT&T puts in there and all the AT&T to go junk. Anyone Flash T-Mobile or other firmwares on there AT&T Note 3? Back when I had my AT&T Note 1 I flashed the N7005 International Rom on it, same went with my Note 2.

The SM-N900A or at&t note 3 has a locked bootloader. This prevents us from installing a custom recovery and flashing other firmware. So unfortunately at this time you won't be able to flash anything. If you were to obtain one anyway and it came preloaded with Kit Kat, you won't even be able to obtain root access. If you are lucky enough to obtain one with android 4.3 you can obtain root. There's even a work around for 4.3 called safestrap. Safestrap allows us to install tweeked roms. But there's not that many of them compared to the previous note versions you use to have.
Many at&t note 3 owners have sold or traded for the T-Mobile variant. The T-Mobile note 3 bootloader is unlocked.
I hope that gives you some insight.

Thank you! Must be the reason why the T-Mobile one will cost me about $35 more used. If I got the T-Mobile Version I might not even root. I just hate what AT&T Does with the Software.
Is there even root on theAT&T Note 3? on 4.4.2? I dont care about tripping Knox as long as it doesnt harm anything

No. There is no root for 4.4.2 as of yet. Avoid the ATT version if at all possible.
BTW thanks for hosting those LG firmwares. It has been very helpful in returning my phones to oem state.

Theres a local Note 3 well somewhat local Note 3 but its AT&T
Been looking at a T-mobile Note 3 for a few days on Swappa for $435
What's the price difference between the 2? I would try the Att if you can get it for under 370. If over that I would do the T-Mobile version. The unlock bootloader is worth it. Just make sure it is paid off (T-Mobile version) before you buy it.
Hey,
I just recently moved to the USA and I am trying to set up my Note 3 to work with AT&T but I'm not sure how to do that.
The phone I currently have is a Rogers Galaxy Note 3 N900W8 (Already knox 0x1), and I'm curious what I need to do to make it work with my AT&T sim card.
I was hoping to stick to ViSiOn-X but from what I can see that is not available for AT&T, so I'll probably just stick with the stock ROM, whichever that is.
Though, I do still have a phone plan in Canada and would like to switch between the sim cards so that I can check my voicemail if at all possible.
Is it possible to set up my phone to work with both Rogers Canada and AT&T USA? Or am I required to purchase a factory unlocked phone to do that?
If it is possible, how?

You need a factory unlock so you can switch carriers now as for the rom I'm not sure if the rom will work on AT&T, you should check the rom forum an see if other AT&T users used it an if don't already know the Model for AT&T is SM-N900A, also you could always try the rom once you get an sim unlock, an try it with that rom but if it don't work flash a rom that you kno will work

Ive got my phone unlocked now, but I think there may be some issues with the ROM. When I first unlocked it I was getting the 4G connection to AT&T. Now I just have the regular phone connection, no 4G. Data is on.
So here is what I want to do: buy a new Unlocked Note 4 from WIND mobile (canada), to use it for T-Mobile (when I move back to the US later this year).
Here is the problem: The WIND note 4 comes with the LTE disabled. So if I were to bring it back to the US and use my Tmobile sim card, LTE still wouldnt work, correct?
Is there anyway to flash an original T-mobile rom on the unlocked WIND mobile and convert it to a Tmobile device with LTE activated?
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
You cannot odin stock tmobile firmware. But you can flash any tmobile stock/custom rom via custom recovery. You will also need custom kernel when flashing tmobile roms. Lte will work fine.
Alternatively you can buy Rogers/bell/telus Note 4, sim unlock it, they will work fine on wind.

So, is flashing the tmobile stock rom necessary to get LTE? or does it automatically activate LTE once I insert my tmobile sim card?
Also, do the note 4's from Bell/Rogers have locked bootloaders?
thanks in advance!

anyone?
I have a N920P sprint note 5. It is unlocked and rooted....i want to know if i could install a att rom on it. Im tired of seeing that sprint splash screen and i cant get 4g on it
I have sm-n920p and flashed the darthstalker rom which has several options for device selection during the install. I installed the tmobile version with no issues besides my network not working, it even listed device info under status as sm-n920t. Mine is not network unlocked but is rooted. If yours is unlocked and rooted I wouldnt think youd have any issues as I did not installing a tmobile rom. Maybe try a rom that has several or a few device compatibility. May or may not be a issue but I would feel safer with a rom that supported a few different models rather then a rom that was specific to a device that's not mine.
I understand exactly what you mean. Hmm i may try this later on today.
It didn't work

Didn't work at all or what did you run into? The first bootup took awhile but worked for me. I was on the noble kernel before flashing in twrp and had oem unlock enabled in dev options. I did the sm-920t choice and worked. Here is official pagehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-note5/development/rom-darthstalker-note5-version-1-aroma-t3212091
The sprint note 5 has different radio hardware than the other note 5's so to get phone calls and data to work you need to run sprint roms. Thats just the difference between CDMA radio hardware and the GSM radio hardware. ***SIM UNLOCK HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CELL RADIO NOT WORKING ON A NON SPRINT ROM***You can use gsm service with a sim unlocked sprint note 5 as long as you are running a sprint rom. At&t has no root or roms for the note 5 so just stick to the sprint forum and you will be fine.
Right, my data did not work once I flashed the sm-n920t version but everything else seemed ok. I tried using a tmobile sim card and could not because my phone was is not uicc unlocked. He was saying his is unlocked and was wanting to flash a att rom which shouldnt be a problem from my experience unless 920p and 920t are compatible while the att version is not. I think the note 5 is capable of most networks gsm, hspa, cdma, lte, just need the right sim and the phone unlocked.
Hi. I am new on this forum and don't know much about rooting and the requirements of such high complex stuff. But I have an ATT unlocked phone which I use on t mobile. It's lacks WiFi calling, whxih I want, and the signal is probably 1 bar lower than it should. Not to mention I can't update my software since ATT servers for the update won't communicate with my phone since I'm no longer and ATT customer and they are generally very slow with their updates
Anyway is it possible to put a international ROM, say the new marshmallow ROM, or even a T-Mobile ROM on my phone? How would one do that? I am aware of odin as I use it to update my software from time to time. Do I just get the international or T-Mobile ROM and flash it?
Thanks.
No way , at&t have a locked bootloader, ):
international..any day..dont even think abt it
Been trying to do this forever. Still no luck.
Anyway to unlock the bootloader? Would my best bet to sell the phone and just get the unlocked one?
AT&T no way , yes get the 925f
