It's fine, the i9220 is what the note is called in China (and probably that is why MIUI uses it). The hardware is the same.
Also, I tried it out myself a few times and it's a fully working ROM Don't forget to flash gapps though!

thanks, i see, i see, i may give it a shot, but may try omnirom beforehand, just hoping there's no real issues with it to stop omnirom or miui becoming my daily driver.

hi.
I have ICS vesion on my samsung galaxy s plus device.
Initially i had andriod 2.3 gingerbread version on this device but i fnd the same problem in both OSs.
my applications are getting too often slower ad unable to work.
It sometimes delays in even call receiving.
Guide me please which OS is most suitable fo m device.
OS is the wrong name for it. Basically they're two versions of the same OS and its not a question of which version you have, but which rom you use. In your case try and use a slim rom.

No, you can only use android. Try CM10.1, that is always good. I'm not sure about kernels though because I have a normal S1, not the plus version.
guide plz

Anyone else can help me?
Hi,
try Ivendors CM10 RC2.5 with the new CastagnaIT Kernel. Then you have about 380MB free Ram. My S+ runs with that combi really smooth.
The Battery drain is for me the same as with GB.
You find all thingd you need there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1270

Thank you again willi9070! Finaly I decided for I9070XXLQE, can't say why, i guess I9070DXAMD1 gave me a little of fear for locales complications, but who knows.
Have to say it works like a charm on my i9070, even more, took my instaled apps and I wasn't forced to do factory reset (I made it anyways).
I like Samsung for this kind of things, it's hard to think migrate to other manufacturer like Motorola. I guess may be HTC, but mean while Samsung keep openmind and close to developers I will remain using his products.
:good:
I use it...nothing to say, just like other JB rom

The main reason is because OEM Roms (specifically Touchwiz, Sense, Xperia UI) require heavily on OEM specific hardware, framework and kernel to function correctly.
Those OEM roms are closed source and without them, it will be very difficult for developers to write compatible driver, kernels (that function in conjunction with framework) to other samsung phones; yet alone a phone from a different manufacture.
In that regard, if a rom was ported over, the only functioning thing would probably be the touchscreen and nothing else.
Hello guys.
I have found this rom online, so im not the developer.
I can't boot this rom on my G900F so im sharing with our comunity, i had come from Omega v9.2 Rom.
Here is some info about this version:

Firmware Size 742MB
Android version Android 4.4.2
Release Date 2014-10-07
firmware source Ry09iu
Here is the link for a fast download: https://mega.co.nz/#F!0UUChZaA!FmvlGJgIoVN4hmc8HoCLxA

I hope someone more experienced in this can give us some tips on how to put this working.

I would say I agree but all s5 roms work on all s5 devices as long as they're not for the "s5 active". That means they work on all carrier models except for Verizon because they completely locked their bootloader. In theory, we should be able to flash the rom without any issues but that's looking like it's not going to happen unless we get a skilled Dev in here to help.

Its a lot to ask on someone but maybe if someone is willing to odin the hong kong(i think thats the region or place that this miui was created) firmware with the regions bootloader and firmware then flash the miui rom to see if that does anything? This wqs created i think back in march or april on the forum this rom was posted in so maybe they have something we dont? Because if i remember correctly the asia galaxy s5 differs fr ours as far as firmware and modem goes because i have had issues booting certain cm11 roms with the wrong firmware/modem. Just trying to offer any help but again i do not have a computer and am worried to flash other firmware that may hard brick my device :/ sorry...

Refer to this link. There are different ROMs for different users, they can' t start a rumble and go for the best. One man's ROM is another man's paperweight.

This is because there is always a person asking for best rom/kernel in here, which is tiring to manage. I suggest you do what I did, root your stock phone and use it for a while. In the meantime, read through threads on problems encountered by other users and take note of their solutions. There are plenty of threads on how to change from custom and stock ROMs, these are the ones you are more likely to receive support from.
