Anyone Receiving OTA Build Update?

I'm in the US, and I check the 'Software Update' daily and aren't getting the new build. I'm currently on 7.0.A.1.307

You have to wait untill its released for you. The relaese depends on your region and which carrier you are on.
However, you can flash the latest firmware 7.0.A.3.195 if you want. Just download one of the many versions from the all in one thread in the Q&A section

Thing is I purchased a SIM-unlocked TX from an online retailer and am using it in the US. It looks like TX development is a bit waning compared to the T. Might it be a goid idea to switch to the T?

A new build was approved for the TX (see here: http://www.ptcrb.com/vendor/complete/view_complete_request_guest.cfm?modelid=22200) but I can't seem to find it.

"certified" does not mean that push update for us. we only should wait

Rogers Xperia t jelly bean firmware live in ontario

Hi All, i'm looking for someone to post a rogers ftf for jelly bean, the update is now live.
Let the JB roms for rogers begin, woo hoo.

would be great if someone could create a deox rom of this version.

I downloaded it OTA, but don't know where it's stored to make ftf. didn't install yet, afraid to lose the root.waiting for your new rom. good luck.

OTA updates usually come as ZIP files suitable for the phone's bootloader/recovery programs (and more often than not these updates only include patches, not the complete partition images). They aren't formatted like the updates downloaded via SUS or PCC and as such they might not be usable for FTF generation.

It will be a bit as i'm working lots and need my phone for work. My next day off is march 16. i was hoping someone would upload a rogers ftf file and then i could work a few hours a night on it.

The update is also going live for Bell's version, installing as of right now

Hi, if you want to create a ftf file for the Xperia T Bell mobile version. Just follow this wonderful guide http://mytechencounters.wordpress.com/2012/06/12/how-to-create-an-ftf-file-of-your-xperia-ics-firmware/
Btw, your phone won't be wiped or reset when you follow this guide. Make sure you unplug your phone when it starts downloading the firmware. You will know what I am talking about once you read this guide. Thanks again :good::laugh:

I'm on 10.3.1.A.0.244 and got an Update to the same version, what?

I'm on 10.3.1.A.0.244 and got a firmware update msg from PC Companion. Wasn't that the latest one?
I'm updating right now, what could it be??? It said I won't loose my peronal data, so I guess it's a small one.
PS: My Xperia Z is C6602 HSPA
I'll keep you posted, PC Companion is downloading the update right now ...

During first boot it said "please wait, android is updating?"

May be some system apps got updated or you got something alien just kidding

Usually what happens is, you probably deleted some of the apps that came pre-installed but are not necessary components. When you run an update check, they will notice that some of those pre-installed apps are missing, and will prompt you to do an update. Post-update, you'll find some of those apps installed on your system again. The update you saw was probably anywhere between 5mb - 80mb.

customization update if you've noticed it's only update the customization number and most probably fixed the bugs

I had something similar on an o2 branded handset recently, was to add in the 4G toggle since the UK networks have started using 4G now.

I am glad the poster started this thread as I also had an update soon after flashing generic firmware over the O2 branded one that came with my phone, and wondered how come.
On the info offered in this thread I went ahead and installed it.
I can confirm this update added the 4g option in mobile networks.
Indeed a minor update in which data and root remain intact (no need to back-up/re-root ).

Only Sony and/or your provider can confirm that, but even then it would be nice if you could tell us what version are you on now? You don't even tell us that so how are we meant to help you......

Why don't you just use Flashtool to get it to your phone using one of the available ftf's ?

Flashing with flashtool don't need root acces and it can't be detected.
You have to read before ask,you will have a reponse faster.
Read that ,if your Z1 is not on the list wait a week or two or flash with Flashtool

I would update through the PC companion. Many people seem to have encountered problems flashing with flashtool on this update. It was taking forever for the ota for me as well

When the Z1 first announcement it come with 4.2.2 already. So if he ask for 4.3 or 4.4 that meant he on 4.2.2 already.

reminder, there is no UK generic unbranded FTFs yet...

because there is NO UK Unbranded Generic.. and the official channels are my preferred route too.

Whether you use UK generic or any other generic one does not make a difference whatsoever, but it's up to you.
I have never encountered any problems when using Flashtool. Just make sure to use the most recent version.

The 4.3 is avaliable so if you use OTA or SEUS you get it.
As for rooting, it doesnt avoid your warranty unless you remove the root and install a clean version when you deliver the device for repair or replace it.
Only thing that avoid the warranty is unlocking the bootloader.
Keep your .257 rooted version and wait for a rooted locked version for 4.3.
Btw there will come a hotfix version in January (newer 4.3) for Z1.
4.4 will come April/May i think...

i've done my share of android modding/roms/etc.. however i like my region and stock rom the uk generic unbranded is and in turn would rather wait it out.. as hard as it is.. hehe.

You can check here scavenger-ch/sonyupdate/ (replace - with .)

Just got the update on my phone today, so no need to use the flash tool or root. Thanks guys anyways

I'm waiting for the update that should be giving to me since I have a globle version from UK which the Sony mobile site says I suppose to have the update already to kitkat (i'm on 4.3) but I don't get anything
Only applications updates not system
Even through most xperia z users from the UK alreary updated to 4.4.2

If you really do have an unbranded UK phone, then the reason you're not receiving the update is the fact that it isn't released yet.

Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. Also, the update was only released just over a week ago. Have some patience or flash an FTF if you're that desperate for it.
