Hi all,
So I wanted to flash ViperOne and saw that it requires 2.6.3.3 for TWRP, so I went and found 2.6.3.4, and went through a big excursion trying to get that to work with ViperOne 5.0.0, and it turns out doing all that somehow really messed my phone up. I don't get service, I can't set the phone up, it has a bunch of problems. I managed to get TWRP 2.6.3.0 working for my phone, and flashed ViperOne 3.5.0 but do not get any service on it, same with just about every ROM I run now. It can't even get to the setup screen, which is a big problem as well.
Any idea what I may have done to mess my phone up so badly? I'm really starting to freak out over here.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Managed to get a backupe restored from a while ago of ViperOne 3.5.0, but it constantly restarts on me, as well as my data doesn't work. When I turn Mobile Data on it immediately says "Disconnected" and will not find a data network. Any ideas?

Also the latest version of twrp is 2.6.3.0 that's why everything is messed up you flashed a version from a GSM device

Does it matter that I never actually flashed a ROM for a GSM device? I stuck to only flashing ROMs that are compatible for my device, it was just the recovery I flashed wrongly.

OK, awesome. That makes a lot of sense, as it was having a lot of errors involving mounting. I am downloading one of his S-ON firmwares now, and am going to go about attempting to fix it using that guide. I will update with the results.

Okay, managed to get ADB working. For some reason it doesn't work on USB3 ports :S
Sideloaded a ROM, but I got no network signal, and it restarted itself within about 2 mins.
I have re-locked, and am running RUU now, if this doesn't work what shall I do?
Okay the RUU worked fine. Thanks for the help guys!
Latest versions on intl. roms are 4.2.2. They won't work on sprint. Since there is no sprint support the updater script wipes our radio and boot partition because they have a different partition table than we do. It's just f.y.I so you know what went wrong

Yeah I realised, but the text in the post is VERY misleading.

Maybe its just me being crazy, but I assumed anything later would work, to me that sounded like everything below 9.4 would not.
Diddo
The exact thing happened to me!!! the ARHD posts are very misleading!! I also had to do a RUU on it.. it made me made cause i really wanted that rom. Have you found any other ROM with 4.2.2 that will work with sprint htc one? I cant find anything.

Hello guys,
I'm in a bit of a pickle here....
I've got a HTC One which I've rooted and unlocked though not S-Off by the looks of things and I had SinLess rom installed fine, it started playing up so I though I'd update it. Bung the new one version on there via sideload and install... Marvelous.
Only now, it gets to the welcome screen as silly ol' me did a factory wipe as well as all cache and after about 5 seconds of Welcome - Choose language. It restarts.
I then decided to try a new rom, so grabbed Android Revolution. To no avail either....
On bootloader it shows as HBOOT - 1.54
S-On
**TAMPERED**
**UNLOCKED**
What can I do to actually get a working rom on this thing?
If there is any more details I need to give please say so as this is my first time flashing something as complicated as this. All my old android devices were far far simplar :crying:
- Here's the facepalm moment - I didn't do an nandroid backup due to it not working and I wanted to put a new ROM on there so I didn't look into getting it working. If I could injure myself I would.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. :good:
Kind regards, Ian.

clear data/ cache
flash the rom and you'll be out of it,
If this thing doesnt work out download the orignal RUU and get back to stock

Yeah, after attempting to install 3 different roms.
Sinless, ARHD and SkyDragon, I'm going to try a different recovery as I'm currently using TWRP 2.6.3.3 and I know there is an update but also I want to see if CWM can do anything with the 6.0.4.3 version....

Hello,
To no avail, after trying different recoveries, nothing.
Looks like I've got a metal slab...
It just keeps restarting itself at the welcome screen, the only other thing I can think of would be to fully wipe EVERYTHING on the phone but I'm not sure that's too good of a move either...
Argh.
You have to be s-off to run these Roms
hey guys, i could really use some help here. I've been having a ton of trouble since i tried to change my ROM recently. I got bored of Beanstalk and tried carbon with i didn't like and didn't work well.
Long story short, I got to the point where i had twrp 2.5 installed, i could use fastboot, recovery, etc. But i couldn't load into the phone, the carbon logo would show and it would restart. So i tried sideloading Android Revolution HD 31.6 and when that finished the screen the screen went black, so i resarted the phone to try and flash the rom "sideload.zip" that was in my root. But it just started flashing carbon again. So i tried sideloading Android revolution Hd again and then it went black after it said 100% complete on the computer terminal. Now i can't get the phone to do anything but have the home and back button flash when i hold down the power button for a long time. I can get anything other than a black screen.
Help!
Okay, i did get it to restart this time when i tried "adb reboot" in the terminal, though that didn't work before. But now it's still stuck in the carbon loop. What i need is a way to load android revolution on to the phone so i can flash it.

flash TWRP v2.6.3.0 and you should be ok.
Android Revolution is a gsm rom will not work on sprint unless it's 4.3, i think it's supported 4.4 will not work! make sure the one you flash has sprint support.

Ok so i can flash it now using twrp 2.6.3
But it then gets stuck on the "HTC ONE" logo screen then restarts after a while.
And the ROMs page says "Yes, you can. The ROM will work on all the variants except Sprint, as it has some significant differences. Sprint is supported only with version 31.6 as of now. WiFi calling is available in version 31.6."
And that's the version i have.
could it be a firmware or kernal comparability problem? If so how would i fix it?

look at big daddy's(BD619) Question and answer thread, all you need is there.
Hi, so I made the dumb mistake of deleting the OS from my HTC One (Sprint). I got the One deodexed stock Jelly Bean rom from Android Revelution HD. Sideloaded it onto the phone and went into TWRP recovery to install the zip. It says the install was successful, however, when I hit reboot, it doesn't start into the rom. It just stays on the bootloader screen and sometimes I have to fastboot flash a recovery in order to get back into TWRP. I have tried fastboot erase cache and have also tried factory resetting it and wiping cache/dalvik cache before I install. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas???

If it was me, I would just RUU and start over. Once that is done, boot it up transfer your rom over to the internal storage via usb while booted up. Then go back into fastboot, flash newest TWRP recovery and flash your rom. Also I don't think that rom supports the Sprint Variant at least that what is says under the details section. That could be part of your issues as well. I usually stay away from roms that weren't specifically made for my version but that's just me.

You're right. I checked and it's not compatible with Sprint. I downloaded the 31.6, but now I can't install it? Something about error with partitions. I've thought about doing the RUU but thought it might be more difficult.

RUU is easy. Just boot into fastboot, connect usb and launch the RUU. Once it's done then flash recovery and a different rom. It won't affect your s-off either if you are. I am currently using stock with goodies. It's a little older but it's rock solid, bloat is all gone, no blink feed and awesome battery. Will be switching once kit kat officially drops.

RUU was SO much easier! Only problem is I can't get service now? It says I have Sprint service and there are some signal bars, but it doesn't say 3G or anything. Anyone have this problem after RUU?

Try resetting the radio. ##786 then reset. You will need your MSL there are a few ways to get it. When I first activate a new phone, I always get in the habit of getting the MSL so I just have it. If you don't have it just call Sprint and ask. If you get some moron CSR just hang up and call back don't argue. I also don't like to use the word MSL when asking, I always say reset code so you can reset your phone most the time they will give it to you.

Hi everyone,
Spent two days trying different things and not sure where to post this. I started off with ViperOne ROM, 5.8 and TWRP Recovery. I have S-OFF and my CID is all 1's.
I installed Android Revolution 71.1 using TWRP and it installed but I kept getting constant dialer force closes during setup. So I tried installing the latest ViperOne ROM with the same result. I tried wiping data, cache, dalvik-cache, same result. I ran Disable System Write Protection 1.29.651.10 and tried installing again and now it won't get past a blank HTC screen that comes up after the boot animation. Now after trying 3 different ROMs (Android Revolution, Adroid Revolution Stock, and ViperOne, I'm getting the same screen and the phone won't turn on. I was sideloading on my Mac but now it won't even detect sideload mode in my TWRP.
I have no idea what else to try, and after having no phone for a couple days, I really need help.
ARHD is not compatible with Sprint One(M7) devices...you messed up your partitions
The only fix is to RUU and start fresh.

Amazing! All I needed was the radio from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406330.
Thanks so much! I also remembered I could simply use USB OTG rather than trying to flash things before the phone restarted. I'm surprised this happened, though, because the new Android Revolution says clearly that it now supports Sprint models.

But installation script mounts mmcblk33 as system which is actually radio partition on Sprint m7.
If you modify installation script to match Sprint and use kernel meant for Sprint m7 then Rom can be flashed safely but I guess it will work only in gsm mode
