Is there anyway to receive notifications when my phone is not locked? I noticed that when Android Daydream is running I wont receive notifications.

.. I use hangouts for SMS and it doesn't light up active display when I receive a notification even though I have it checked to do so, and notifcations on in hangouts.. I even tried turning on notifiations for sms app and still nothing..
4.4 Rooted. VZW
any ideas?
edit: restart and unselecting then re selecting hangouts worked.
I just flashed the stock image upgrading my Nexus to 6.0 MRA58K and for the most part love it but I have one issue that is driving me nuts and google isn't helping me.
I use GoSMS as my texting app. If the phone is awake, I get the pop up and ringtone notification when I get a text, but when the phone is asleep and I receive a text, the screen will wake up briefly showing the message but not ringtone. I have gone in to apps and set GoSMS as priority and gone through all sorts of settings to try and get it figured out with no success. Meanwhile if I get an email or even a tapatalk notification when the phone is sleeping, I will get the screen waking up and the notification ringtone just fine. I have a custom ringtone for GOSMS only so don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Anybody else run into this or know what could fix the issue?

Since the update to Android Wear 2.0 I am not getting notifications.
I assume that somehow I've got it turned off.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply.
That is one neck of a bug. Pretty much negates the use of a smart phone.
Huh!? I am getting notifications. What notifications are you referring to? I am getting SMS messages, Facebook messages, etc and have been since the AW v2.0 update.

I am getting no notifications at all. It does ring when a phone call comes in, but no notifications. Period.
Maybe I should disconnect and reconnect to my phone.

Might be worth a try. Check also and make sure your phone is connected to the same account as your notifications are. Easy to get wrong if you happen to have multiple accounts.
I finally went through the process, which was VERY slow, and out is now getting notifications.
Since updating to b390 I'm getting notifications of data used when screen is locked. Is this new or its always been there?

I don't have that notification. I haven't seen it before tbh.
I suppose you can turn it off somehow.
I would like to ask why I can't receive incoming call notifications in my Mi Watch?
I already followed all the tutorials but there is still a problem. Anyone here who experienced the same? Thanks!
Hi. I have huawei watch gt2 and I have same problem. Every morning I see that they ale disconnected to each other in the app, but it says that Bluetooth is still connected... Sometimes I can't get is connectected, sometimes well. When I restart the phone it's already connected in the app and everything works good... Because of this issue sometimes I got no notifications on the watch. This phone sucks! Very expensive sh*t...
I'm using mi band 5 and no problems here at all. Whatever software you're using make sure it's got all the necessary permissions, autostart set to ON and battery saving turned off. Mi Fit is what I use.

I also have a watch gt2. You have to turn on huawei health notifications on the status bar and then the notifications arrive on the watch.
