Is there a way to update? since it got stuck on 4.1.2. Or any good Roms out there?
What do you mean you got stuck on 4.1.2 ?

You will get the 4.3 update it will just take some time and if you happen to have an unlocked boot loader then you can go flash any of the ROM's available

Good morning, its stuck in 4.1.2 since Sony removed it from their website. It looks like it isn't going to get any more updates. Where can I get information on how to unlock and root? I never found information on it. Thank you!
You're correct that at Lt30at is likely stuck on 4.1.2 since AT&T will not likely update it. Simply flash, with the latest Flashtool, any of the ftf's that are being posted in the last few days. I used the Generic Central Europe Bond room. Exclude baseband to retain AT&T LTE.

Also, the Xperia TL cannot be booloader unlocked. Rooting instructions are available all over this forum, but I've not tried them so I cannot verify anything.

For Root I flashed a generic ftf for OTA updates for the ability for root access on the latest firmware I'm still waiting for the update hope it will be here soon

lt30a = lt30at?
Hey... I have a Xperia Tl from Bell labeled as lt30a... Do you guys think it will suffer the same thing as the lt30at?? Meaning no direct update? Of course I can flash any lt30p 4.3 rom... it's just that I'd prefer to get the firmware from the company I'm locked to anyway....
Looks like it, it still has decent specs. Kit Kat would make it run even better too.
Well, thanx for the answer, I'll live with it then...
As a bit of an FYI flashing your LT30AT to a LT30p ftf will make your phone appear to be a LT30p to sony pc companion

Yes if you have the same FTF file that your currently running on now just flash back to it if you need to and if rooted you could even tweek your build prop to make it appear that your running on LT30a firmware but why would you want to ? Here's a picture of what I'm using and what I would like to know is am I still going to get the update it seems to be taking awhile

Oh OK, thanks. This phone isn't even 2 years old. Probably last Sony phone I get. HTC and Sony are terrible on updating their phones.

I hear ya they will have to come out with a really good phone for me to buy directly from Sony again like I did with my Xperia T and I'm not to happy with its battery life if this update doesn't improve the battery life at all then I'm probably gonna get a used ZL for now
there going for around 250 to 300 hundred in my aria or maybe get the nexus 5 from my carrier

I know, this is ridiculous. Best way to get the latest update is Google play edition or a nexus.
Well, finally looks my Bell Mobility lt30a is receiving 9.2.A.0.295 update right now... Maybe your lt30AT will get it also then...
Oh wow foreal? I'm going to check thanks!

Still nothing over here I'm not sure if it took this long last time but it feels like it might not be coming though last time I might have just gone ahead and flashed one of the firmwares available at the time before Rooting it.

No update here in Chicago. It seems it's not going to be released.
I went ahead and updated with the rooted version I find that Timescape doesn't work and the stock browser won't install along with Timescape extentions and I had to download a widget to access the developer options.

Why are You all so freaking happy about such minor updates? Considering small number leap its only a bug fix. (not 4.2.2 update)
It's still a bump forward. The question is why are YOU so negative about it!

Yawn, Another thread about a firmware certification.
Please understand that just because a firmware gets certified it does not mean it will get released, or that it fixes any bugs, or that's it better than previous releases, or even a higher version. All talk of this is pure speculation unless you happen to be a member of the Sony development team who worked on that particular firmware.
And do we really need a whole thread about every certification? Personally I think not.
Better be 4.2.2, probably just a normal minor update
It's not 4.2.2, that would be something like 10.1.x.x (see e.g. on the Z). And indeed, firmware certification is nothing to make a fuzz about, most won't even make it to a real update.

I've just picked up the t-mobile version of this phone tonight, and it's on 4.1 right now. Everything I've read said there was an update for 4.2.2 , but the phone system says it's up to date. I'd actually prefer 4.1 for now because of bluetooth issues i think, but I'm just wondering if the t-mobile version will have to wait to be updated, making it much longer than the international versions? I didn't plan on rooting for a few weeks, but if there's already a 4.3 rom out there, i may have to do that a little quicker.
Yeah we don't know how long it will be to get the update it doesn't exist yet,but you can flash any firmware on it using the flashtool, just read up alto, for me it's been so diff than HTC like you don't flash it in recovery and you don't have to be rooted first, couple weird things

wait, so I'm confused, with the t-mobile xperia z, the bootloader can't be unlocked? if that is the case, then how can root even be possible?
Also, do the roms for the international version work on the t-mobile version (Such as parinoid android and cyanogenmod)
If that is the case, then what does the locked bootloader stop?
So I guess my question is, do roms designed for the international xperia z work on the t-mobile version. Like, do we get official cyanogenmod support?
I'm curious, because this might be my next phone (Debating between this and the nexus 4)
I'm currently using the htc vivid
Would any of these update methods erase the stuff that came with the phone? (Not that I want all of the apps, but some of them, I like)...

So I'm downloading the flashtool right now, but it's going to take a while longer. By flashing the 4.2.2 stock rom (which one is that btw?), will I get the ability to have a mobile hotspot again? That's the only thing I'm looking to get at the moment. Also, will I have to flash new modems or kernels or anything else? Is there a really easy youtube video that shows how to do everything from start to finish on adding a stock rom?

Since you seem to have the t-mobile version and are in the US, do you know if you flash a 6602 stock rom, does US T-mobile LTE still work? I've read so many different answers and they are ALL over the place on this board, so I'm not sure what way to go. The only US labeled rom I found is for a 6602, but some people have stated you need 6603 for LTE, others say both work.

Sony Mobile has confirmed that it has begun to roll out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware update to a number of handsets including the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z. As well as the standard KitKat features and performance tweaks, the update brings the PlayStation 4 launch animation and live wallpaper as seen in the Xperia Z2, Z1 and Z Ultra. The firmware also includes the latest updates to the native app portfolio and brings compatibility to SmartWear apps such as Lifelog. As always, the rollout starts in selected markets and huts other regions gradually.

Based on what? Or just a guess?
Tmobile Xperia Z, will it see lollipop?? According to sony, the device's latest software version is complete and it's lollipop.... but according to Tmobile, 4.3 is the latest version. Moreso, tmobile's lollipop update center isn't showing the xperia Z even on the list of current devices rolling out 5.x!
