Hello,
So my HTC is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked and I had a custom GPE rom on it. Everything was working fine for a long time. (S-ON btw)
So today I started experiencing problems with my HTC one. First off was that my device wouldn't follow my settings for auto-rotation of the screen. I wanted the screen orientation locked and it didn't want to listen. Then all of the sudden, I couldn't charge my phone when it was on. I could only charge it when in the boot loader menu. When I try to charge it when its off it shows that it is charging and then stops and glitches, then shows that it is charging again.
When I was connecting it earlier to my pc it was saying usb hardware malfunction (when my phone was off and I was trying to charge it).
I have tried a factory reset and it didn't help. Then I tried to put a new rom on the device and I wanted to use TWRP so I used fastboot usb to flash twrp. After I got the new rom on, charging still doesnt work. I can completely use the phone except I can't charge it while on.
What should I do?
Thanks,
Brent
EDIT: I can now use fastboot USB
I am now flashing a new GPE RUU to the device. I managed to get it to S-OFF. I hope this will fix the problem.
EDIT: It didn't fix the problem. I can still only charge my phone when its in fastboot usb mode. It also charges really slow. Everything else is fine though.

Hi, I have two problems which I noticed with my LG.
1) It refuses to let me do anything like unlock bootloader, or wipe data. I tried wiping from recovery, and I tried wiping from system menu, I just get a screen which says it's going to wipe, but then an error, and I reboot and no wiping took place. I also tried to use the Toolkit for unlocking bootloader, and it seemed to be working, it booted into recovery, prompted me to press Vol UP i think if I wanted to unllock bootloader, and I did, and then it says that unlocking bootloader will require wiping data. I wait and I wait because it says please wait, but nothing happens, data is never wiped. I would like to wipe, flash other ROMs, but it doesn't seem possible. I'm running V20A, but flashed, not installed through LG software. Maybe this flashing had something to do with it?
2) I am having problems charging my phone. It's like the charger keeps connecting and disconnecting, as if I were removing and reattaching it repeatedly. I tried an HTC OEM charger, I tried a USB cable I had for 3 years and connecting it to the laptop, and I tried using my sister's charger from eBay. Of them all, the one from eBay worked best, it still disconnected from time to time, but not so much. It's like, at even the lightest touch, the charger disconnects, like it's loose. I tried these chargers with my sister's HTC Explorer, and they all work fine. I also don't have the LG OEM charger don't know where it is, but these chargers I'm using all used to work fine before.

1) Long story short plug your hone and flash it again with some other stock rom that is NOT for your phone's market and then try to root it and unlock it again if that doesnt do it then plug it again and update it regulary since lg will see that you have not matching rom with your phones market.(for example i have 20c euro xxx rom and my phone is for CWT network even so if i plug it in lg softwer i can update it to CWT rom).Be shure to flash OPEN Euro xxx version.
2) if you get that kind of problems even when you plug your phone to computer via USB then it is connector problem (at least i think so) and you should go and service your phone.
Keep in mind that this is just my opinion what should you do it isnt 100% working and it isnt 100% easyest way to do it.Try and see for your self.
P.S. after every flash make sure you do a factory reset of previous rom just to be shure.
Hello Community,
I have a "little" problem with my HTC One. When it's completely shutdown and I connect the wall-loader (also on USB with Computer) the phone normally charges. But when I now try to start the phone (also when I plug the cable off), it keeps on the Battery Screen and doesn't turn on. I have to Hard-shutdown it every time (Volume-Down+Power) and then to restart and it all works fine, but I want that it works without the hard-shutdown.
My phone is: rooted, s-off, dev-unlocked and I have a Custom Rom, but the problem is with all Roms. And my phone has the TWRP-Recovery.
I hope you can help me.

Hi, i own a sony xperia sp and have a big problem: my phone works perfectly only when connected to usb or charge.
When the phone is off and i try to turn it up it will boot to OS only if the battery is at 100%. if it's not 100% the phone will try to boot but will crash at some point.
but as said before if i power it up while connected to usb or charge the phone will boot normally and will work fine. by the way even if i can boot, when i disconnect the cable the phone will crash and shut down after some time.
i' ve checked the battery status and it says Good, no need to replace it. uAh: 2367000.
i've tried to wipe data, upgrade\downgrade firmware but nothing worked.
May someone help me with this?

My guess : Kernel problem if its not a kernel thing then your hardware has problems
Hello everyone.
I have a few strange problems with my M7. I have stock Android 4.4.3, firmware number is: 6.14.206.2 (O2 brand). I have unlocked bootloader and CWM Recovery. And that's all.
When OS is loaded and runs normally, phone don't want to charge. I tried diffrent chargers and cables. Nothing. Also M7 don't want to connect with PC/Laptop/Mac to mass storage and also nothing happens with charging. Phone is not visible to the charger and PC. I don't know where is the problem.
But when battery is low and device is shut down - phone start to charging when I plug the charger/connect to PC. But there is also a strange thing. Phone boot up to the battery image and shows charging about ~10 seconds and phone load a CWM recovery. And this cycle goin to the never ending story...
Fastboot, Bootloader mode and Recovery works at all and computer see the device, lmao... So this isn't a problem with USB socket in phone. Phone never had a contact with water and any other liquid.
I tried factory reset, wipe everything in CWM. And no success at all.
Please help me.
Hello,
my Redmi 4x won't boot. I tried to find some solution for this issue, but I can't find it anywhere, so I created this new thread to ask you for your help.
Last night I was out in the city and my phone died because of low battery, so after I came home I just wanted to charge it as usual. Battery logo showed up and it was behaving as always, but when I tried to turn it on it couldn't boot again.
After pressing the power button the splash screen flashes for a brief moment and then it just turn off again. This happens all the time from the moment my phone died. I'm not sure what went wrong here. I can't get it to recovery mode either. So I wanted to do a fresh start and flash it again with new ROM here (Ressurection Remix 6 is what I have now)
I'm able to get it on fastboot mode, but once I try to flash it with MiFlash I get error message like "error:FAILED (remote: Critical partition flashing is not allowed)"
So I looked up for a solution and I found that I need to get it in EDL mode with adb.exe
I tried this solution but with no luck. Phone is restarting but it won't turn on again and the fastboot mode is lost.
I'm not really sure if I have right drivers for it. Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E is what I have now. I can't also change the usb debugging mode obviously, so I'm also trying to find some solution for this issue either (is there any chance how to turn it on with adb.exe?)
I think it's softbricked but i'm not really sure.
Thank you for your help

Hi, most likely your battery is faulty. Current draw during Android kernel boot up phase is above 1A whereas only around 0.2A for a working OS, that's why neither OS nor recovery can start when the battery develops high ESR (internal resistance). Do the following test:
fully recharge the battery
do not disconnect the charger
turn it on
Your Android may now actually work again but you must use a short quality cable connected to a 2A+ charger, which will support the battery at boot time - and you can disconnect it later.

Thank you, but the battery wasn't the main issue, because once I was able to flash it through EDL mode to the latest stable official ROM, the battery was on 93% already.
Now I'm stuck with MI logo and powered by android with 3 blinking dots above. I watched somewhere, that it could last for 7 minutes, but for me even the 15 minutes is not enough, so I guess i'm in bootloop.
For some reason my bootloader is locked again, even though I already made the unlocking process earlier before I flashed to Resurection remix 6. My phone doesn't even appear in device manager. I can't even use it as a storage, so I could try to flash it to custom ROM.
I'm not really sure wat happened and how is it possible to brick your phone by just draining your battery to 0%
Ok, phone is alive again. It booted up right after I inersted microSD card in slot. I didn't know this was necessary...
