I've just encountered this error message when trying to open the camera. I tried clearing app data and cache for everything camera related then rebooting, I then did a factory reset and I still get the same problem. Anybody have this before or know of a solution? I'm on 14.1.G.1.518 rooted, locked bootloader and I haven't done any updates since I bought it 6 weeks ago. Camera worked fine yesterday, no changes have been made since then apart from a reboot. Hope someone can help, thanks!

u can test these;
1. setting > apps > all > camera > clear cache + clear data + force stop (clear data will remove all ur modification on setting of app)
2. do 1. + restart
3. also check another camera app
4. force restart ( i think it was pwr btn + vol. down for 10 seconds & 3 vibrates- anyway it s better to check support section of sonymobile website)
5. finally u can just repair ur phone by PCC (it will install latest firmware and so u will lose ur root access and should try again for rooting)
:good:

Hello everyone,
I've been literally 12 hours searching for possible answers on how to repair my Galaxy Note N7000 which from what I've concluded, has a problem that can be easily repaired but I've found nothing but limitations when I have a go at it. It doesn't seem to be bricked as I can still access recovery mode, download mode and it effectively boots, it's only giving me errors.
Here's what happened:
1) I tried rooting it using UnlockRoot PRO. Paid the PRO version, detected the device. Later I find it says the N7000 with 4.1.2 is not compatible so the rooting process was never completed, so I rooted it using Root_SuperSU.0.95.Only-signed and it worked just fine.
2) Everything worked fine, downloaded Andromizer to customize the phone.
3) Changed the DPI size to test it, then went to Developer Options and changed the Animation scales to 0.5 to make it all run faster.
4) Rebooted the device. Once I did, I got nothing but "SystemUI has stopped working" together with "TouchWiz home has stopped working errors".
I checked around the web and so far, what I've found (and tried) is this:
1) There seems to be a bug related to TouchWiz and the Animation Scale option (or perhaps the DPI size option in Andromizer). So I tried to do a wipe data / factory reset through recovery mode.
2) When trying the wipe data / factory reset through recovery mode, I rebooted the phone, only to find the SAME errors after I registered everything.
3) First option that came to mind was to wipe everything and immediatly reinstall the Official JellyBean 4.1.2 firmware (at this point I want to pretty much unroot the device as I didn't know it was going to give me so much trouble). When I tried that, I realized that SUDDENLY, Odin (nor Heimdall) are NOT detecting the phone in download mode. I'm guessing it's because USB Debugging is turned off but, I can't access the phone settings. It's my only logical conclusion, although it should be turned on given I could install PhilZ Custom Recovery later.
4) I search around the web and it says it's a driver problem. So I uninstall everything, run CCleaner, USBDeview to uninstall everything related to the Samsung Galaxy. Reboot. Install drivers again. Reboot. Plug booted phone and let Windows detect the device, installed successfully. Reboot in download mode. Let windows detect the device, installed successfully. Run Odin: DEVICE NOT DETECTED. (It does detect it while it's booted though, only it doesn't work for **** obviously).
I've literally tried everything. I've tried checking for a way to install the firmware via Recovery Mode instead of Download Mode. I've tried checking for a way to remotely access the device and mod the settings from there using ADB, and I get the same problem in ADB, doesn't detect the device.
Also tried to reset settings to normal via PhilZ Custom Recovery which I managed to install later.
Isn't there just a way to reset all settings to normal? Shouldn't a factory reset do this? How can I get SOMETHING to work and try to recover the phone? Any Aroma Recovery Script? Any way to mess with the system folder and modify settings manually via notepad or something since due to the SystemUI / TouchWiz home errors I can't access the phone settings?
I'm barely awake at this point. Can't believe I've stressed myself this much. Please help. This is beyond retarded.
Thank you,
Z
i had the same exact problem just few hours ago.....first of all you should boot into recovery mood by pressing vol up+ home button+lock button until samsung logo shows and then wipe all data/factory reset and wipe all cache partitions..........if that didnt fix it you should try rerooting it againg after re wiping
I read the post but it seems you have done a lot of things and nothing worked. So what is the situation right now? You can boot as normal but cannot get any icons or settings as sysUI and TW crashes?
Try installing GB ROM then wipe/cache first. If good, root GB ROM then do full wipe. Then test ROM for crashing.
If good then install JB rom and test. Let us know.
unable to enter phone setting ? then just simply look for a secsetting.apk for ur version then replace it n set the permission rw-r--r--

Bwahahah, now I see why you guys enjoy calling newcomers "noobs".
It was a computer problem. I just reinstalled JB 4.1.2 from my netbook and it worked.
Weird as hell though, given that I updated my GT-N7000 to JB 4.1.2 through Odin in this computer and it never gave me any problems.
I AM going to learn some ADB / Android SDK though. I'd rather learn everything before something like this happens to me again.
I appreciate everyone's concern, and thank you all for it.
nice to hear that you had this one fixed
Glad to hear its working now.

I have tried to upgrade my touchwiz to the new one, but got the danger message, would clearing the cache help?
Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk
Hello,
I don't know why but my Galaxy S6's back camera just keeps on force closing.
No matter what I try:
- Rebooting
- Flashing a new Rom through TWRP
- Odin to stock
- Wipe everything on recovery
- Clear camera cache, data and force stop it
-Booting into Safe Mode
I'm out of ideas, anyone know how this can be fixed?
I would also like to add that, about 2 months ago the same thing happened to my phone and after trying all of the above that time also, nothing was working. I took it to tmobile and a representetive asked me "have you tried rebooting?" And as he asked he was rebooting my phone in front of me. I said "Yes" and when the phone booted back up, he opened the Camera app and it was working -__-
I have been rebooting for the past 2 days hoping for that to happen again, to no avail.
If using Odin to go back to stock and it still doesn't work, you're probably looking at a hardware issue. Have you tried another camera app to see if that has the same issues?
Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help me. One week ago I upgraded to Pie on my Galaxy Note9 (Verizon). Ever since, I've been having a problem updating apps in Google Play. Most of apps get stuck on Download Pending. A few go through just fine, but most don't. When I turn off my NordVPN, every update goes through without a problem. I never had this problem on Oreo, and I don't want to have to turn off VPN every time I update.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions or solutions?
Thank you.
Try clearing cache and data on the google play app or maybe loadvpn has a glitch with android pie and u could report it. Also try wiping cache on phone by going into stock recovery.

Hi. This seems to have worked. Thank you very much.
First I cleared cache in Settings > Device Care > Storage, and Memory
Then I went to Settings > Apps and cleared out cache in Google Play
I don't know about clearing cache in stock recovery, is that a better way of doing it?
Thanks again
Well if wiping data and cache helped no need to wipe cache on stock recovery. What wipe cache does is help phone perform better sometimes. But it doesnt delete anything. U could do it. All u gotta do is power off phone then hold volume up and bixby button and press power button also and it should take u to stock recovery then use volumes(up or down) to highlight wipe cache then highlight yes and wipe it them reboot and it should perform better.
Hi all,
My wife just bought the G780G.
I configured her device using Samsung smart switch, and used it to transfer settings, apps and data from her old S8 (first time I did it, usually I prefer to start a new device from scratch...) .
She says she has an issue with the device - sometimes, while using it, the screen flickers...
I didn't see it exactly and she didn't manage to reproduce it to show me, but she says it happens to her quite a lot.
Anyone familiar with this issue?
Any solution you know of?
Thanks!
long shot, if she uses chrome try updating it and android webview along with it. there was an issue months back where that caused system wide flickering and some apps not to work.

I updated Chrome.
No update was needed for Android web view.
Unfortunately it didn't help.
The issue persisted today...
I suspect 2 things:
1. A firmware update that was done yesterday morning (my wife doesn't remember if she encountered it before, she have the phone for 2 days...)
2. Restoring data using smart switch - it can cause issues? I restored the data from her old S8.
Can it be that some corrupted data was transfered?
I'm thinking of factory reseting her device and let her start from scratch..
What do you think?
before you reset try booting to recovery and clearing cache. if there was an update it could be the cache. if it doesn't help then yeah reset is the next option.

Thanks man
How exactly to boot to recovery?
I tried after watching several YouTube videos but had no luck...
Edit : looks like something is messed up with this phone.
I'm not able to boot into recovery.
Doing this:
Turn off device
Press volume up + power button simultaneously.
As soon as I see the Samsung fe logo - I release the buttons - the phone boots regularly...
Booting this phone to recovery is a bit tricky:
1. Shut down phone and wait for a couple of seconds
2. Connect an USB cable to PC and phone
3. Push and hold louder button
4. Push power button until recovery mode will be shown
I prefer ADB:
ADB DEVICES
ADB REBOOT RECOVERY
I press volume up plus power simultaneously while inserting the connected USB cable.
Thanks guys!
Managed to do it after connecting to my laptop.
Just wiped the cache partition - hope it'll help..
Well unfortunately it didn't help.
The screen still flickers.
I'll factory reset the phone.
Hope it'll help and it's not a hardware issue...
consider also reflashing the current firmware. there's even a way to do that that doesn't involve wiping your apps. using the HOME_CSC file will keep your user data intact. then if that yields no results you can try a factory reset.

Thanks man but I don't know exactly how to do it...
I'll factory reset it and that's it.
Hope it'll solve the issue
I wiped the device yesterday.
Looks like the issue is solved.... No more flickering!
Not a hardware issue
Thanks everyone!
Hope it is not a hardware issue. Because my old s5 and pretty all samsung s5 have screen flickering problem especially in cold weather.

Not sure but many people here tried this list and I think none of them reported any bootloop so far. You may tried to remove something else.
So for now, can you get into the recovery menu with holding both Power button + Volume up? I saw a menu called Package Installer, did you try that? And how about the menu called "System Verification" as well? If nothing works, then you may need to factory reset everything.

Yes, I can log in, here is the screen
Inside "CLEAR DATA" i can clear cache and CLEAR ALL DATA
Inside "Install System Software" It connects to the wifi network and looks for new updates, telling me that the recent one is already installed and nothing else
Inside "calibration System" it tells me that it is verifying the integrity and that the integrity check of the system files was successful
Inside "Enter Safe Mode" It restarts and returns to the previous bootloop, as in the "normal" boot, but here it continues to vibrate at each reboot (Loop)
Nothing else ... I didn't do anything else, just deleted and debloated from that list, nothing more
Update: Used clear all data and hard reset phone.. Now work

Yeah as I said, the last option is to do factory reset your phone if you don't have anything important on your phone now. Not sure if you did something wrong with the list, just remember don't remove the vivo home launcher without installing at least one 3rd party launcher. If not then you will get into bootloop again.

Hi bmw320cd,
If you are still factory reset state, can you upload your battery stats (with details/system)
Mine, after small debloat takes 16% (Android system) + 7% (Android OS).
Thanks!
