I've extracted and deodexed the stock email client from Z1 Compact's UK FTF: http://xperia-files.koumakan.jp/apps/SemcEmail.apk
Seems like it has to be installed in /system/app; if there's anyone with rooted 4.3 on T/TX/V and an IMAP4 email account I would greatly appreciate verifying if it indeed works.
The key difference is that Z1 Compact has IMAP IDLE support (push notifications for IMAP4) — “Automatic (push)” in the inbox check frequency options.

This app has to be installed in /system/app, there's no way around it without hacking (and even then it's not guaranteed).
What do you mean “for odex”? This is a deodexed APK that can be used on both odexed and deodexed firmware.
P. S. Is there a way to hide signatures on this forum? A lot of users here have signatures that usually are 10-20 times larger than their average posts…

User cp, under settings and options edit options, under thread display options it's possible to untick show signatures. It's the best option ever!

Apart from copying it to /system/app you need to fix the permissions of the file to 644 / root (-rw-r--r-- root root).

Actually I able to install it but I had to do a factory reset. What's 644 permission? Currently using es file explorer I can enable permission rw-r-r.
One more question, am I need to set a frequent email check? Does it same in previous version? Actually for Xperia v 4.3, also got this feature and the only difference was a side menu. How to know it's support push notification? What I understand is, it will check or sync an email according to how frequent we set it whether 5 minute once or longer than that.
However, this app is still better from original of Xperia v email app. I'll keep using it. Thank you.

Permissions are based on a octal bit map: 644 = rw-r--r-- (- is a binary zero, and r/w/x is a one). Check it out here.
You would use the chmod command to do it via command line (instead of ES File Explorer) : chmod 644 yourfile .

It should be activated by default. I've been told that you need a good equalizer like DSPManager and good headphones to notice the change.
Since this is an update.zip file, you need to be able to enter CWM recovery. Therefore, you need an unlocked bootloader.

if your phone is rooted, you can just extract the update.zip and copy the files.
do not forget to set the proper permission to the files you copied.
after the reboot, it should be loaded by default I suppose.
edit: well, as written in the script, there should be no problem with the method above. but, I could not feel much differences though.

I dont know the contents of this zip but I guess you could just delete them if they haven't overwritten anything,otherwise you have to replace them with the stock ones via root explorer.

From my understanding it reinforces the bass that the equalizer can produce.

extract from zip and copy ( com.android.phone-res.apk ) on sdcard , whith root explorer copy ( com.android.phone-res.apk ) , and go to system-vendor-overlay , paste and set permission rw-r--r-- , reboot , done.

I use call recorder by skvalex. Records both parties perfectly and can be set to auto record everything without the need for root

I can't seem to record. Set the permissions correctly but when I press record, com.Android.phone FCs. Yes i have rebooted. I also originally didn't have a com.android.phone-res.apk in the system/vendor/overlay folder.

After opening the bootloader bravia engine 2 albums did not work. With this mode, BRAVIA Engine 2 albums and movies will work. You need to use the original ROM. origin 4.1 4.2 4.3 works with.
custom ROM is useless. Whether open or closed bootloader works. Only use original enough. I also tried the original 4.3 and spectacular works.

I'm so glad I did that. I tried very hard and finally ran xreality mode. ALBUM and video works. Xreality more quickly optimize photos. Only Xperia z original ROM works. Follow the steps below.
INSTALL
1) DOWNLOAD FILE
2) INSTALL ROOT EXPLORER
3) DELETE SYSTEM /APP / CREDENTIAL MENAGER SERVISE.ODEX AND CREDENTIAL MENAGER SERVISE.APK
4) RESTORE BRAVIA ENGINE file flash
5) X-REALITY FOR XPERİA Z file flash
NOTE: works on odex ROM only. Get a backup before installation. I'm not responsible if your phone is broken.

If you are using the original ROM and you've done the steps necessary work. was attempted repeatedly. Please system / apps and credantial menager servise.apk in the credential menager servise.odex delete files. then install the attached files with recovery.
How to undo X-reality mod? Just delete the files X-reality zip flashed?
Because I used your Restore Bravia Engine and it worked well and I flashed the X-reality i don't see any changes anymore

I managed to get the original album apk from my FTF. I've tried Root Explorer and FX w/ Root to install the original apk and I get an 'App not installed'. Not sure how I managed to do it last time. I guess worse come to worse, I'll just reinstall the whole phone, but trying to avoid that.

I know its too late but instead of flashing firmware again you can just remove the apk's and update center will see that the apps are missing and it will download and install them again.
One of the things I missed was the AOSP gallery, especially since I usually disable google+. I pulled the apk off an AOSP build and signed.
Attached is the apk. You should be able to install it like any other app (runs fine for me on the nexus 6 and galaxy note 3).
Update:
To get the editor working install the new Gallery2L-signed.apk
Then unzip libjni_filtershow_filters.zip and copy libjni_filtershow_filters.so to /system/lib and chmod 644 it (rw-r--r--)
This is only necessary if you want the editor to work.

I'll see if I can pull down the Lollipop version (if it still exists?) I believe this one is from 4.4.2 which probably why (originally did it for my Note 3)

In general, the newer "crap" works just fine or better for the majority. It is people with specific requirements where they want something other than the built-in Android applications.
Not to mention most people buy from OEM's that tend to replace those apps or supplement them with their own versions.

I have not tried to just put them in data/app which is where they are on my X.

Thank you, I'll try putting them in system/app data/app and priv app to see if any of them allow it to work.

Are the permissions for the apps 644 in the data folder or are they different on your moto x?

Updated the main post with how to fix it. Required moving a .so file to the lib directory though:

To get the editor working install the new Gallery2L-signed.apk
Then unzip libjni_filtershow_filters.zip and copy libjni_filtershow_filters.so to /system/lib and chmod 644 it (rw-r--r--)

I believe you have to have the aosp camera installed as that is where it pulls the settings from.
I'll see if there's an alternative way. Do you know what shows up normally there? (i.e. what settings do you change for gallery?)

I have no idea honestly, thought I would just point it out since it seemed kind of weird.

Although settings just keep black as well
