Yes, you will have no recovery.
Also how many of these rooting threads describing the exact same method have been made now, it's getting a bit out of hand.

No wonder..., you came from different firmware with this patch. This deodexer patch only for latest firmware.
Does this patch contain a kernel? I would like to use the stock kernel, but I have found no way of flashing without losing CWM and root.
The only way to get CWM working for me again is by flashing a custom kernel. Is there a way to keep it stock?
Thanks in advance!
:/
I have two problems:
1.- I go to settings and pressed in language & input, gives me force close
2.- I go to settings, accounts, and select google, and press sync, gives force close
Does anyone have this problem?
Sorry for my bad english
Just a QUERY...
dear rizal,
great and simple method... problem is can you HELP me how NOT TO LOSE CWM when i flash the new firmware using FLASHTOOL? I have only managed to root/CWM in JB 4.1.2, but i lose the root and CWM when i flash the new FM. Thus, your instructions are great and streamlined, BUT if I don't have CWM anymore, how can i flash your deodexed/zipaligned version?
sorry, i've just been splitting my android hairs, trying to root my LT25i (locked bootloader), when the old 'rooters' no longer work on this new FM.
thanks so much and will patiently wait for whatever you can suggest,
keep up the great androidz work,

Hi Friends,
This is pre-rooted flashable stock ROM created from the FTF file http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2872440 with @zxz0O0 's PRFCreator tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-prfcreator-easily-create-pre-t2859904
Features:
1. Based on stock ROM 10.5.1.A.0.283 Generic SG version
2. Pre-rooted
3. Latest SuperSU and dualrecovery are included
All I did is just download the firmware, create FTF file and then use PRFCreator tool to create this flashable ROM, apart from that I didn't touch anything in this ROM.
Information:
I compared with other stock version from other country, difference are in useless application, such as:
1. France version has one Diagnostics tool but this does not have
2. The 4G icon is 4G in Franch version, but this is LTE
3. The options for Mobile Mode is different, this version has 4 options (WCDMAonly+GSM only+WCDMA/GSM+LTE/WCDMA/GSM), and France version only have 3 options (4G/3G/2G+3G only+3G/2G)
NOTE: Unlocked bootloader works. I did not tested on locked bootloader, but someone tested it on locked bootloader
Installation:
1. Download this ROM and transfer to you Xperia Z
2. Reboot into your recovery and do clean (clean cache, data, system) installation
3. (Should not needed) In case you lost recovery after flash this ROM, just enable debugging and then on Windows/Linux use NUT's recovery installer (XZ-lockeddualrecovery-<version>.installer.zip) to install recovery.

i just tested this. flashed over a locked bootloader
and it works. booted up.
BE2 works as well.
-------------------
EDIT: apparently there's an image bug (nothing major) on the caller picture during a phone call (they have lines with the images)
so it was not clear.
EDIT2: seems like this bug only exists IF the user chooses to manually crop a photo through the album.
if it was sync-ed/edited with google accounts, the lines are gone.
(tested it by changing photos of one of my contacts with 2 different photos and then reverted back, no lines)
EDIT3: for the sdcard transfer, i was able to fix it via this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/fix-t2759826
(this fix is system level and not 3rd party apps via play store)
i was able to transfer files IN & OUT via wifi file transfer with this fix.
just follow the instructions
not sure if this is an issue on all 4.4.4

Was also a problem with the non-prepared stock ROM(s) of 4.4.2, have had to implement that fix before :silly:
Also, it appears you lose Recovery when installing this one (since it's not included in the ROM I guess?)
Otherwise works like a charm here up until now! (Unlocked Bootloader)

its weird because your rom is not the first stock rom that has lost its recovery by not being able to access through the volume buttons upon boot
BUT it can be accessed through NDRUtils app from play store.
but i am able to fix it by reinstalling a dual recovery version and i was able to access recovery via volume buttons.
so no worries there as it can be overwritten even by older versions (i prefer 2.6.3 as its a stable one)

Lol, completely screwed my system up by trying to do it by hand, then flashing wrong firmware to fix problem, etc.
Now, after half a nights work last night, finally up and running again [emoji12]
On another subject: another thing that seems to have improved, for me at least is the GSM signal strength! Had hardly no signal with 4.4.2 in the subway here in rotterdam (NL), but now signal seems almost twice as strong!

Maybe, I don't know, but it should be logical. You can try it, on your risk.
I can confirm this works flawlessly on my pollux sgp321.
Just did it myself. I had no idea official was now on 4.4.4!

Hi there everyone! After the arrival of Official Lollipop for XPERIA Z (which arrived quite late), the major issue was with the firmware is its rooting problem and installing Dual Recovery on Locked Bootloader which gives a bootloop. I have created this using PRFCreator
NOTE: I am not responsible for any damage caused to your device upon flashing this on your device. Please follow the instructions carefully and as it is. This is well tested only on my OWN XPERIA Z C6602, and therefore, goes well with all other C6602 & C6603 devices. Please test and report issues if any.
What exactly will you get when you flash this zip?
1. Rooted STOCK XPERIA Z Lollipop 5.0.2 10.6.A.0.454 firmware (with SuperSU)
2. Pre-pushed 'xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip'
3. Pre-installed DUALrecovery (v. 2.8.16)
NOTE: This is not a DEODEXED rom. It is as it is STOCK firmware with ROOT, DUAL-RECOVERY and xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1. Install Official (STOCK) Kitkat firmware .283 OR .292. Root it( using THIS ) and Install latest NUT's Dual Recovery (from HERE)
2. Place the downloaded ZIP in your SD card (external SD card)
3. Reboot into recovery and Wipe/Format DATA, CACHE, DALVIK/ART CACHE and Factory reset.
4. Install the downloaded zip from SD card and Reboot!
5. The first boot takes quite a lot of time (around 15 min).
7. Install Xposed Installer for Lollipop ( from HERE )and Xperia Xposed for Lollipop (from HERE ) , give appropriate root permissions, ENJOY!
NOTE: While installing the Xposed Installer for Lollipop, now you don't need recovery because the 'xposed-sdk21-arm-*.zip' has already been pushed for you in the flashable zip. So just install the 'XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha*.apk(or any available latest version)' and Enjoy!
You can also install the latest Dual Recovery v2.8.17 (I haven't tested it, 2.8.16 works pretty well)
After finishing all the above steps, reboot once and then proceed with any module you want to install!
I will update the screenshots when i get time!

If you are on UB with CM and want to flash this, you can. But please do a total wipe as I have mentioned and then flash the zip!
And with regards to the DRM restore, if you have your DRM keys , then u better install the zip on locked bootloader. If you do not have the DRM keys, then follow THIS.
If you are thinking to install this zip, I will suggest you go for locked BL if you have the DRM keys!!!

Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot
Unlocking Bootloader/Root/Recovery (Required)
Just follow steps from Sony Developer World Mobile
http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/
1 - Make sure you have a Recovery pre-installed (via boot partition or bootstrap hack) and Bootloader Unlocked
2 - Download the latest version
3 - Flash it via your recovery
Now you ask "i still have the CWM Philz, what to do?"
You will need a custom kernel with support to load recovery from FOTAKernel, check this
For now only one Custom Kernel support it, the FalconSS Kernel
4 - Flash FalconSSKernel or any other Kernel with this support via recovery
5 - And Enjoy!!!
TWRP3 - Support from Stock KitKat to CM14.1 Based- Zip Flashable - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767133664
Support: All Xperia E1 Variants
How to get into recovery: The LEDs will flash green, in this moment you can press Volume buttons and wait, you will see a Blue/Cyan color in LEDs, you will enter iin recovery.[/B]
No issues related to TWRP3 (If you found someone, just report. Thanks!)

Actualy, the dual recovery exploit, use the bootstrap folder into the root of the storage to boot a recovery without having a UB, then if you want a PhilZ and TWRP, you unlock your BL, flash TWRP 2.8, Caio kernel AND THEN you have dual recovery
Ok, so far I got TWRP flashed, but the problem is it shows the TWRP start logo, but doesn't boot to the UI/Options. I waited for 15 minutes and it didn't boot. Hope this can get fixed

TWRP 2.8.1.0 R2 is on!
Fixed font size
Fixed device set
Partially fixed mtp
Removed default max brightness
I think so
Not is really NEED to update, but is more good than the previous release
You still need FalconSSKernel or kernel compatible with load FOTAKernel ramdisk
