i actually figure this out after i updated it to 4.3, u know when ur in android 4.1 the illumination music pulse in speaker and when you plug a headset is differ to each other, but after the update the pulse seems to over recognize the music which cause the led music stopped pulse when reach 50% of volume, but in the other hand the sound quality in using headset is improved, sony just need to repair this bug in led music pulse, because its just cool

I've had my Xperia T for 3 days, It's been updated to 4.1.2.
I'm experimenting the very same issue, I've tried with another player app (n7player), to no avail.
I'm very disappointed as I bought this phone because of Sony's Walkman software.
Nickola
[Edit]
Edited this post to offer some kind of bypass solution.
Using "Wakelock" to acquire "Partial WakeLock", I was able to get continuous music playing, even when the screen goes off, with either Sony's Walkman or 3rd party player.
The side effect is a probably higher battery drainage, as it prevents CPU going to sleep mode, for what I've understood.
[/Edit]
The music issue is a known problem with the JB 4.1.2 update on 2012 Xperia's. I have successfully used Poweramp with no problems. It is not free, but there is a 15 day free trial. You can see if that helps you. I don't work for Poweramp; just a suggestion to let you listen to music with no interruptions.
I was not happy with this either, but I've found Poweramp's sound quality to be so much better than any version of the Walkman app that I'll keep using it even if Sony fixes the Walkman problems. Even Google Play Music sounds noticeably better than Walkman. In addition to fixing the music pausing when the display is off, Sony needs to work on its sound quality IMO.
The UI for Walkman is very slick though. I hope Sony sorts all of this out.
i'am using this device and i get this weird but nice behaviour and i don't know if this happens since the new firmware ( 9.1.A.1.141 ), with Xperia T !
The Volume is actually really Low and yesterday while playing Music i take a Screenshot on the Device and all of a sudden the Volume came up and it was better than ever before
can someone else confirm this behaviour :fingers-crossed:
greetings
I have MW1 don't have the volume problem. I would recommend using Hybrid ROM by peetr_
Volume is much higher in it as he tweaked it and it's rock solid anyway
The only issue I have with my MW1 is that occasionally I get 5 seconds of constant messed up stuttering... Goes after the 5 seconds but still it's rather annoying

There's a bug in .140 and. 141 jb firmware where the Bluetooth sound level is lower than normal when you turn it on. The easiest fix I've found is to just change the alarm sound level in the sound options, press ok and the volume level increases significantly.
I have this headset. There are no such problems. Stuttering cleaned using the latest firmware headset.
Xperia TX with the latest Jelly Bean
The person wasn't talking about the old stuttering problem. That was fixed on the last headset firmware upgrade. There's another problem but due to the xperia t firmware, the solution I gave above works
Yes I am well aware or it, I checked the app after posting

Hello everybody,
I updated my Xperia Z 3 days ago. Everything was perfect, until I plugged my KossPorta Pro headphones in and played some music (I am using PowerAmp player). I noticed sound is now more distorted, less enjoyable and less crispy. Last 4.1.2 update .307 had better sound. I am not sure about stock player cause I am using PowerAmp for Bass and Treble EQ and better customization, but anyway I never ran into problem with poor quality sound on my Xperia Z until 4.2.2 update. I tried everything (factory reset, wipe everything, other update versions) but still same. I am quiet dissapointed, good quality music is very important for me.
Somebody with same problem?
Any suggestion?
I don't have the same problem. Have you tried other head-ear phones?

I tried, but quality was same. :L Btw, I downgraded yesterday back to .307 and sound was great. I went again to 4.2 and but nothing was changed, poor quality again. I really like 4.2 update but sound is important for me
No audio libraries are changed due the update, you're imagining the changes

I carefully checked sound quality between 4.1 and 4.2 and there IS difference. Anyway, do you think there is problem with PowerAmp player?
I use stock Walkman and FM radio - no discernable difference between builds.
Maybe it's PowerAmp issue then. It's driving me crazy to be honest..

If you have enabled 'MusixFx' option in 'Tone/Vol' settings menu please disable that and check the sound effect again.....

I've volume jumps from one song to the next with the latest versions of Walkman for JB 4.2 ported to JB 4.1.2. It is very noticeable when clear bass is set at high levels. But no trouble for me with the stock walkman.
but how can it be resolved?

Try Equalizer, this is a very good 5-bands equalizer + bass booster.
Use it instead of musicFX and you will have no longer volume jumps
thanks alot

Tested these 2 last days and definitely adopted. After fine tuning, I find that the sound quality is much better than with the default Sony equalizer!!!
I am wondering if anyone can exploit a glitch in the bluetooth audio volume on the xperia T
As most of you will no doubt be aware the bluetooth volume is rediculously low on the xperia T, i believe its low on most android phones?
However I have found that with all of volumes at max, If I go to setting, sound, volumes then set the ringer volume to max the volume to the bluetooth headphone literally doubles
Is this something that can be exploited by someone who is in the know?
I am desperate to get more volume from my phone via bluetooth as my headphones are very quiet in comparison to my old nokia n8, but more importantly music is rediculously low when connecting my phone to my car via bluetooth, its such a shame as both worked so well with my old nokia I would love to find a way around this problem.
Thank You

Try installing xposed framework and finding the mod that allows the advanced volume control. It seperates all the volume streams so blutooth volume is not linked to other volumes.
Search for it in google or the themes and app section

When connected via bluetooth I get the bluetooth volume adjuster on my phone when I use the buttons, however this is already at max, with all volumes at max it is still very low, however just pressing the ringtone volume, even without adjusting it as it is already at max, it plays my ringtone for a second thn suddenly I have twice the volume, despite all volumes including bluetoth were already at max, suddenly I have plenty of volume?

This app does a nice job of setting media volume to max and works superb, however it hasn't solved the issue, even with all volumes set to max the Bluetooth volume is still very low, however just touching the notification or alarm volume slider and letting it beep, then doubles the output.
I have just flashed .145 Rom and kernel hoping it would fix the issue, but it still persists. Does it not do the same for everyone else?
I.e start walkman with Bluetooth headphones or car connected, start playing music, then go to settings, sounds, volumes and adjust the alarm volume, then the volume has Bluetooth output volume has suddenly doubled?
It didn't do it on custom Roms for me just sock ones, custom ones stayed quiet no matter what
"just touching the notification or alarm volume slider and letting it beep, then doubles the output."
THANK YOU! Fast little work around to get true max volume on my Xperia T. Can't believe Sony hasn't gotten this sorted after many updates. I can finally use my Jambox again haha!
The low bluetooth volume is a known issue on JB FW's for Xperia T. (read somewhere its related to actual JB rather than Sony only).
My fix for it is..connect BT headphone.. take a quick call.. just dial something for even a second n end...n volume increases on BT..
